Nina sat by her desk and read the latest edition of the Tribune, mainly to see what her colleagues had written and such. But when she came to the page with all the announcements and such, her eyes fell on a wedding picture of a Bonnie James and Arthur James Le Roux, especially this Arthur caught Nina's eyes. That night where she had run into him at the bar and they had continued things back at her place and not that she had expected anything afterwards, then it had still been weird to wake up to an empty bed, but it looked like he had moved on and now found someone else. Her eyes moved over the little flower girl that said under the picture was the happy couple's four year old daughter, she tilted her head a little. Well clearly he had been more busy than she had first thought. Her eyes moved to the person who had taken the picture and she recognized Hex' name.
Suddenly Brody interrupted her by giving her a note about a story he wanted her to write. After he had left she looked at the note, she looked back at the wedding photo. "Hey Fayth? Interested in getting out of here? I need a photographer," she said out loud and looked in the direction where the blond werewolf was. Nina had just gotten up from her seat and waved the note Brody had given her.

She had decided to start using her proper name when at work - it was much more professional to go by Fayth Moonlight than Hex. She had been taking a few test shots using a new lense for her camera and was going through the shots to see the results when she heard her name. Lifting her eyes, she looked to Nina and then to the note she waved around. She wasn't exactly feeling the greatest lately, not with spending half an hour before work throwing up, and a couple of times during the time she spent at the office. She had already heard someone whispering that they had heard her throwing up, so she knew it was only a matter of time before Brody heard the rumour. Nodding in reply to her, Hex stood and headed over to the reporter. "Yeah, sounds good. A bit of fresh air would do me good right about now." She hadn't worked with Nina much, but she was one of the only people in the office that didn't backstab or simply gossip at any given opportunity. Hex liked the blonde, and offered her a smile. "What's the job?" She motioned to the door, as if indicating to lead the way, to fill her in on the details on the way.

Nina grabbed her bag and made sure she had everything in it before she moved out of the open office area, holding the door for Fayth so she could go first. "Apparently the Red Moon club has gotten a new owner and Brody want an article about it," she said as she moved after, heading down the hallway to the elevator. "Not exactly the most interesting thing, but it's better than nothing," she said and flashed the female werewolf a friendly smile.
Reaching the elevator she pressed the button and waited for the doors to slide open. "Really nice wedding picture there is in the Tribune. Didn't know you did weddings," she said, complementing the woman for her work, it was usually Alex who did all that, but she knew that he was taking it a bit easy lately after his accident. Of course Nina wasn't about to say anything about the fact that she knew the groom, well knew and knew was perhaps a bit much, she had had one, one-night-stand with the guy years back that was it, so she could hardly say that she knew the guy, but she had seen the name Arthur James and well it did fit with the AJ he introduced himself with. Clearing her throat a little just as the door opened and she moved into the elevator and pressed the button for the foyer when Hex had stepped in as well.

Moving with Nina, she smiled to the reporter as she held the door for her and lifted her eyebrow hearing what the job was. A new owner for the Red Moon club? Hex smiled to Nina and as they headed into the elevator, she nodded in answer to her comment about the wedding pictures. Getting Bonnie and AJ's wedding gig was a big deal for Hex. "Yeah, ever since Alex... you know... I've been trying to do a little bit more around the office. I know he says he's fine and stuff, but I don't want him to push himself to do stuff when he doesn't need to." As the elevator lowered to the ground floor, both women headed towards the exit. "Besides, Jack was asked to be there by Bonnie, in his Beta capacity." She didn't mention Jack being bodyguard incase AnnaBell showed up. "So what's the story with the club? I assume they know we're on the way to take pictures and interviews and stuff. Did Brody mention any particular angle he wants to take with it?"

Nina headed in the direction of the parking lot when they were first out, more precisely her old yellow VW beetle. Unlocking the door, she threw her bag over the driver's seat and onto the back seat and got in. Leaning over so she could unlock the door for Hex as well. "He wants an article about the new owner, so I don't know, maybe some shots of the guy, maybe outside the club and maybe some single shots of the club in general," she said and put the key in the ignition and turned it. "According to Brody, then the guy is completely new.....Some Daniel guy, so Brody wants to know what a guy makes a guy decide to come here and take over a club, his background and such and what plans he has for the club," she explained.

Following Nina to her car, Hex waited until the door was opened for her before climbing into the vehicle. Once inside, she nodded upon hearing about the new owner, this Daniel guy. "Sounds simple enough. I think we'll be done in no time." Hex knew the club - she had been there on more than one occassion, back in her younger days, before she had had Toby and Jewel. She smiled to herself, thinking back to one time she had gone there with Jack, and some guy had looked at her in a rather hungry manner, and Jack had ended up punching the guy out. Taking the time in the car to get her camera configured for indoor shots, Hex realized she had never really spent much time with Nina, in or out of work hours. "So how do you like working for my brother then? Does he like cracking the whip at work?" She smirked - Brody was her big brother, and it was strange to think of him as the big boss, too.

Nina turned her gaze to Hex for a brief moment when she heard her question about Brody, then Nina chuckled. "Brody is nothing like any other boss. I like him, he allows us to have creative freedom. As long we hand him the right amount of articles, then we won't hear a peep from him," she said as she kept her eyes on the road. "I tend to come up with some crazy ideas sometimes, but he tells me to go for it and sometimes they don't work out so great, but he's cool," she said with a chuckle.

Hex smiled and nodded when Nina spoke about Brody being a cool boss. It had been Alex with whom she had bonded more with after first finding out that the Bernstein brothers were in fact her brothers, but ever since the miscarriage, she had become closer to Brody and he had always been there, a shoulder to lean on, reliable and always with good advice. "Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy. I guess that's just his way. He lets people have their own freedom, and if things go a little wrong, he's right there to help put things right. I guess if you don't let people take risks, then you don't ever get to see what they're capable of." Lifting the camera, Hex took a picture of Nina as she drove with a chuckle, looking at the image. She seemed pleased with the focus and resolution, and lens choice. "Alright, so I'll take some general shots of the club while you're speaking to this Daniel guy, and then maybe a couple of pics of him." With a chuckle, she lifted a playful eyebrow to Nina. "Are you with anyone at the moment? Maybe we could set you up with this guy.. He must have some cash on him to take over the club..."

Nina was coming towards a stop sign and perhaps the foot stepped a bit harder on the brake than intended when Hex asked if she was seeing anyone. "Lord almighty, god knows what kind of guy he is. Those club guys usually just hook up with any woman they can get their hands on. No thanks," she said and shook her head. Checking if any other vehicles came before she continued driving. "Had a brief thing with a bad boy once, not doing that again," she said. Although it looked like the bad boy had settled down now.

The moment Nina breaked, Hex found herself having to hold back a laugh as her hand moved to the dashboardas the stop was rather more abrupt than she had been expecting. Once the car had actually stopped, Hex held her hands up, one of which carried the camera, in a surrendering pose. "Alright, alight. No setting you up then." Although when Nina mentioned her previous fling with a bad boy, Hex lifted a curious eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Here in town or elsewhere?" Hex was obviously fishing for information. "Bad boys have their charms, certainly, but their not all the same. Jack was a bad boy when I first met him, but now he's all settled down, and he's the most amazing, caring father." Her teasing smile had turned warmer, more affectionate as she thought of her husband.

Nina stopped for red light and glanced at Hex when she started to fish for information. "Not all bad boys settle down, although the guy I was with, looks like he's set down on more calmer paths," she said and turned her head back to the light, waiting for the green light to switch on. "I usually doesn't do it, he was cute, but it was only a one-night-stand......and it happened here in town. Met him in a bar almost five years ago," she said and headed off again as the light turned green.

When Nina began talking about this bad boy she had gone with, Hex listened with a nod, but as she heard that the one Nina herself had been with had calmed somewhat, her mind still worked on who it could be. Who had settled down lately from his bad boy ways? Hex knew that Lenard had done so lately, but he was with some other vampire. Then it hit her - she had seen Nina looking over the pictures of Bonnie and AJ's wedding. Her eyes went a little wider as she looked to the driver. "Wait, was it AJ?" It would certainly add to his list - Bells, Bonnie, now Nina. "That boy sure does get around..." She chuckled some. "Don't worry, I won't tell anybody."

Nina cleared her throat a little. "You better not or I will rip out your tongue," she said and glanced at Hex, but then a slight smile appeared on her lips, not that she would do that. "Besides I didn't really see him after that night, and looks like he had a kid too.....He was cute, but face it, me and a human, wouldn't have worked out," she said and parked near the curb outside the nightclub and stopped the engine. "Looks like he's happy though, on the picture. Who knows maybe I'll find my knight in shining armour one day," she said and sent Hex a smile before she got out of the car and fished her bag out as well before closing the door after her. "Lock the door before you close it," she said and locked her side of the car with her car keys. These old cars didn't have these fancy locking mechanisms, not that she cared. She loved her old car.

Hex let out a laugh upon hearing Nina's threat, knowing she was only joking. As they pulled up outside the club, Hex gave it a look over and smirked some. It had been a long time since she had been there, before the pups were born anyway. "I'm sure you will. Like I said, even if he's no knight in shining armour, maybe this club guy is someone to waste a bit of time with until you find him." She nodded to Nina's instructions, and a she got out of the car, she pressed the small button on the door to lock it before closing it firmly. "Or maybe he'll be hiring some young, hunky bouncers we could hook you up with." She chuckled loudly, making sure she had her camera, before nodding to the door. "Alright, after you, Miss Freemont."

Nina placed the strap on her bag over her right shoulder and headed to the door of the club and opened it. It wasn't open for guests, but there usually were some sort of activity around the place, to prepare it for the upcoming evening. The music was playing, meaning a DJ was testing out light and equipment, but not the same volume as if the place was swimming with dancing guests. Nina moved further into the club, looking for someone to tell that they were here to talk to the owner. She noticed a guy in the bar and headed over to him. "Excuse me...Hi, I'm coming from the Tribune, I'm here to talk to the new owner. The editor has made an appointment with him," she said, the guy turned around from stocking the shelves with various bottles. "Wait here," he said and disappeared. Nina in the meanwhile looked around, someone was in the process of cleaning the dance floor.

Hex headed inside after Nina, and immediatly chuckled to herself. The place looked so different when it wasn't crammed full of drunken people and not in total darkness. When Nina headed over to the barman and asked to see the owner, Hex lokoed to the man cleaning with a sympathetic nod. Must be a hard job, cleaning up after a wild night. As she headed over to Nina, they waited patiently and Hex leaned into the other blonde with a smile. "Looks like a different place when you can actually see it. Without double vision, I mean." She looked over to the DJ and took a couple of pictures of the place while they waited for the owner to grace them with his presence.

Nina signalled Hex to follow and headed over to the guy, who held the door for them before he lead them down a hall and up a set of stairs. And it wasn't long before he guided them into what looked like an office with the view over the nightclub. Nina couldn't help but walk over to the large window and looked down. "He will be with you in a second, so just take a seat and make yourself at home," the bartender said before he closed the door. "Must be amazing in the evening," she said, more to herself than to Hex.

Hex looked up from her camera as the bartender returned and instructed them to follow him. With a nod, she moved behind Nina and along the passage, before climbing the stairs. The music was quieter back there, not that it had been loud before, and glancing back to the tender as he mentioned for them to make themselves comfortable, Hex again nodded. Once he had gone, she sighed a little and looked over to Nina, moving to stand by her, looking over the club. "What, you've never been here before?!" She couldn't believe that she hadn't been to the club before. "Okay, one night, sometime soon, me and you are coming out. Here. To dance, to find you some hot, hunky guy." She smiled and wiggled her eyebrows up and down suggestively with a laugh. Of course, then she remembered she was pregnant, and so drinking was out of the question for her. "Get a few drinks in you and I'm sure this place won't know what's hit it." She smirked, glancing around the office - a nice enough space.

Nina looked at Hex, then she chuckled as she shook her head. "No I meant the view from up here. I've been in the club," she said and turned her gaze back to the window as a light show started all of a sudden. "Could be cool to have a view like that, but I doubt Brody will move our offices to a nightclub or something like that," she said with a light chuckle before she moved over to a chair that stood in front of a large desk and took a seat. She started to find a notepad out with pen and a small tape recorder.

She laughed at herself when Nina corrected her, and her eyes also went to the window when the lights and lasers began, testing for the evening. "Oh. Well yeah, the view is probably pretty neat." As the reporter headed to the chair, Hex continued to look out over the dancefloor. "Well, my offer still stands. To go out, I mean. After all, if we get in with the owner, we might be made VIPs!" She laughed a little. "Maybe have our own little roped off area, cheap cocktails, that sort of thing." After a moment, Hex found herself getting a little restless. "How long does he expect us to wait here for him? He knew fine well what time we were due to arrive. This article is for his benefit as well as ours..." Her eyes wandered over the activities below. "I mean, for all he knows, we could have a million other things to do today and him being late might be making us late... It's just good manners to at least be on time for stuff.."

When you see a poll of some sort, then try and take the time to read what it's about and who's allowed to vote. This means in particularly the homecoming polls. They are ONLY for High School characters. So if your character isn't a high school student then DO NOT VOTE!!!! Thank you.
Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

If you haven't voted for the monthly polls yet then you can still do it. Remember that you can use as many of your characters you want to vote with as long you don't vote for one of your own characters. You can find them here. The polls will close June 1. Furthermore we have two homecoming polls. So let your high school characters vote for who should be homecoming king and queen. The polls closes 9 June, you can find them in the event board.
