Nina sat by her desk and read the latest edition of the Tribune, mainly to see what her colleagues had written and such. But when she came to the page with all the announcements and such, her eyes fell on a wedding picture of a Bonnie James and Arthur James Le Roux, especially this Arthur caught Nina's eyes. That night where she had run into him at the bar and they had continued things back at her place and not that she had expected anything afterwards, then it had still been weird to wake up to an empty bed, but it looked like he had moved on and now found someone else. Her eyes moved over the little flower girl that said under the picture was the happy couple's four year old daughter, she tilted her head a little. Well clearly he had been more busy than she had first thought. Her eyes moved to the person who had taken the picture and she recognized Hex' name.

Suddenly Brody interrupted her by giving her a note about a story he wanted her to write. After he had left she looked at the note, she looked back at the wedding photo. "Hey Fayth? Interested in getting out of here? I need a photographer," she said out loud and looked in the direction where the blond werewolf was. Nina had just gotten up from her seat and waved the note Brody had given her.

She had decided to start using her proper name when at work - it was much more professional to go by Fayth Moonlight than Hex. She had been taking a few test shots using a new lense for her camera and was going through the shots to see the results when she heard her name. Lifting her eyes, she looked to Nina and then to the note she waved around. She wasn't exactly feeling the greatest lately, not with spending half an hour before work throwing up, and a couple of times during the time she spent at the office. She had already heard someone whispering that they had heard her throwing up, so she knew it was only a matter of time before Brody heard the rumour. Nodding in reply to her, Hex stood and headed over to the reporter. "Yeah, sounds good. A bit of fresh air would do me good right about now." She hadn't worked with Nina much, but she was one of the only people in the office that didn't backstab or simply gossip at any given opportunity. Hex liked the blonde, and offered her a smile. "What's the job?" She motioned to the door, as if indicating to lead the way, to fill her in on the details on the way.

Nina grabbed her bag and made sure she had everything in it before she moved out of the open office area, holding the door for Fayth so she could go first. "Apparently the Red Moon club has gotten a new owner and Brody want an article about it," she said as she moved after, heading down the hallway to the elevator. "Not exactly the most interesting thing, but it's better than nothing," she said and flashed the female werewolf a friendly smile.

Reaching the elevator she pressed the button and waited for the doors to slide open. "Really nice wedding picture there is in the Tribune. Didn't know you did weddings," she said, complementing the woman for her work, it was usually Alex who did all that, but she knew that he was taking it a bit easy lately after his accident. Of course Nina wasn't about to say anything about the fact that she knew the groom, well knew and knew was perhaps a bit much, she had had one, one-night-stand with the guy years back that was it, so she could hardly say that she knew the guy, but she had seen the name Arthur James and well it did fit with the AJ he introduced himself with. Clearing her throat a little just as the door opened and she moved into the elevator and pressed the button for the foyer when Hex had stepped in as well.

Moving with Nina, she smiled to the reporter as she held the door for her and lifted her eyebrow hearing what the job was. A new owner for the Red Moon club? Hex smiled to Nina and as they headed into the elevator, she nodded in answer to her comment about the wedding pictures. Getting Bonnie and AJ's wedding gig was a big deal for Hex. "Yeah, ever since Alex... you know... I've been trying to do a little bit more around the office. I know he says he's fine and stuff, but I don't want him to push himself to do stuff when he doesn't need to." As the elevator lowered to the ground floor, both women headed towards the exit. "Besides, Jack was asked to be there by Bonnie, in his Beta capacity." She didn't mention Jack being bodyguard incase AnnaBell showed up. "So what's the story with the club? I assume they know we're on the way to take pictures and interviews and stuff. Did Brody mention any particular angle he wants to take with it?"

Nina headed in the direction of the parking lot when they were first out, more precisely her old yellow VW beetle. Unlocking the door, she threw her bag over the driver's seat and onto the back seat and got in. Leaning over so she could unlock the door for Hex as well. "He wants an article about the new owner, so I don't know, maybe some shots of the guy, maybe outside the club and maybe some single shots of the club in general," she said and put the key in the ignition and turned it. "According to Brody, then the guy is completely new.....Some Daniel guy, so Brody wants to know what a guy makes a guy decide to come here and take over a club, his background and such and what plans he has for the club," she explained.

Following Nina to her car, Hex waited until the door was opened for her before climbing into the vehicle. Once inside, she nodded upon hearing about the new owner, this Daniel guy. "Sounds simple enough. I think we'll be done in no time." Hex knew the club - she had been there on more than one occassion, back in her younger days, before she had had Toby and Jewel. She smiled to herself, thinking back to one time she had gone there with Jack, and some guy had looked at her in a rather hungry manner, and Jack had ended up punching the guy out. Taking the time in the car to get her camera configured for indoor shots, Hex realized she had never really spent much time with Nina, in or out of work hours. "So how do you like working for my brother then? Does he like cracking the whip at work?" She smirked - Brody was her big brother, and it was strange to think of him as the big boss, too.

Nina turned her gaze to Hex for a brief moment when she heard her question about Brody, then Nina chuckled. "Brody is nothing like any other boss. I like him, he allows us to have creative freedom. As long we hand him the right amount of articles, then we won't hear a peep from him," she said as she kept her eyes on the road. "I tend to come up with some crazy ideas sometimes, but he tells me to go for it and sometimes they don't work out so great, but he's cool," she said with a chuckle.

Hex smiled and nodded when Nina spoke about Brody being a cool boss. It had been Alex with whom she had bonded more with after first finding out that the Bernstein brothers were in fact her brothers, but ever since the miscarriage, she had become closer to Brody and he had always been there, a shoulder to lean on, reliable and always with good advice. "Yeah, he's a pretty cool guy. I guess that's just his way. He lets people have their own freedom, and if things go a little wrong, he's right there to help put things right. I guess if you don't let people take risks, then you don't ever get to see what they're capable of." Lifting the camera, Hex took a picture of Nina as she drove with a chuckle, looking at the image. She seemed pleased with the focus and resolution, and lens choice. "Alright, so I'll take some general shots of the club while you're speaking to this Daniel guy, and then maybe a couple of pics of him." With a chuckle, she lifted a playful eyebrow to Nina. "Are you with anyone at the moment? Maybe we could set you up with this guy.. He must have some cash on him to take over the club..."

Nina was coming towards a stop sign and perhaps the foot stepped a bit harder on the brake than intended when Hex asked if she was seeing anyone. "Lord almighty, god knows what kind of guy he is. Those club guys usually just hook up with any woman they can get their hands on. No thanks," she said and shook her head. Checking if any other vehicles came before she continued driving. "Had a brief thing with a bad boy once, not doing that again," she said. Although it looked like the bad boy had settled down now.

The moment Nina breaked, Hex found herself having to hold back a laugh as her hand moved to the dashboardas the stop was rather more abrupt than she had been expecting. Once the car had actually stopped, Hex held her hands up, one of which carried the camera, in a surrendering pose. "Alright, alight. No setting you up then." Although when Nina mentioned her previous fling with a bad boy, Hex lifted a curious eyebrow. "Oh yeah? Here in town or elsewhere?" Hex was obviously fishing for information. "Bad boys have their charms, certainly, but their not all the same. Jack was a bad boy when I first met him, but now he's all settled down, and he's the most amazing, caring father." Her teasing smile had turned warmer, more affectionate as she thought of her husband.

Nina stopped for red light and glanced at Hex when she started to fish for information. "Not all bad boys settle down, although the guy I was with, looks like he's set down on more calmer paths," she said and turned her head back to the light, waiting for the green light to switch on. "I usually doesn't do it, he was cute, but it was only a one-night-stand......and it happened here in town. Met him in a bar almost five years ago," she said and headed off again as the light turned green.

When Nina began talking about this bad boy she had gone with, Hex listened with a nod, but as she heard that the one Nina herself had been with had calmed somewhat, her mind still worked on who it could be. Who had settled down lately from his bad boy ways? Hex knew that Lenard had done so lately, but he was with some other vampire. Then it hit her - she had seen Nina looking over the pictures of Bonnie and AJ's wedding. Her eyes went a little wider as she looked to the driver. "Wait, was it AJ?" It would certainly add to his list - Bells, Bonnie, now Nina. "That boy sure does get around..." She chuckled some. "Don't worry, I won't tell anybody."

Nina cleared her throat a little. "You better not or I will rip out your tongue," she said and glanced at Hex, but then a slight smile appeared on her lips, not that she would do that. "Besides I didn't really see him after that night, and looks like he had a kid too.....He was cute, but face it, me and a human, wouldn't have worked out," she said and parked near the curb outside the nightclub and stopped the engine. "Looks like he's happy though, on the picture. Who knows maybe I'll find my knight in shining armour one day," she said and sent Hex a smile before she got out of the car and fished her bag out as well before closing the door after her. "Lock the door before you close it," she said and locked her side of the car with her car keys. These old cars didn't have these fancy locking mechanisms, not that she cared. She loved her old car.

Hex let out a laugh upon hearing Nina's threat, knowing she was only joking. As they pulled up outside the club, Hex gave it a look over and smirked some. It had been a long time since she had been there, before the pups were born anyway. "I'm sure you will. Like I said, even if he's no knight in shining armour, maybe this club guy is someone to waste a bit of time with until you find him." She nodded to Nina's instructions, and a she got out of the car, she pressed the small button on the door to lock it before closing it firmly. "Or maybe he'll be hiring some young, hunky bouncers we could hook you up with." She chuckled loudly, making sure she had her camera, before nodding to the door. "Alright, after you, Miss Freemont."

Nina placed the strap on her bag over her right shoulder and headed to the door of the club and opened it. It wasn't open for guests, but there usually were some sort of activity around the place, to prepare it for the upcoming evening. The music was playing, meaning a DJ was testing out light and equipment, but not the same volume as if the place was swimming with dancing guests. Nina moved further into the club, looking for someone to tell that they were here to talk to the owner. She noticed a guy in the bar and headed over to him. "Excuse me...Hi, I'm coming from the Tribune, I'm here to talk to the new owner. The editor has made an appointment with him," she said, the guy turned around from stocking the shelves with various bottles. "Wait here," he said and disappeared. Nina in the meanwhile looked around, someone was in the process of cleaning the dance floor.

Hex headed inside after Nina, and immediatly chuckled to herself. The place looked so different when it wasn't crammed full of drunken people and not in total darkness. When Nina headed over to the barman and asked to see the owner, Hex lokoed to the man cleaning with a sympathetic nod. Must be a hard job, cleaning up after a wild night. As she headed over to Nina, they waited patiently and Hex leaned into the other blonde with a smile. "Looks like a different place when you can actually see it. Without double vision, I mean." She looked over to the DJ and took a couple of pictures of the place while they waited for the owner to grace them with his presence.

Nina chuckled a little, briefly looking into her bag to make sure she really did have everything. "Ladies? Follow me," the bartender said when he re-emerged through another door. Nina signalled Hex to follow and headed over to the guy, who held the door for them before he lead them down a hall and up a set of stairs. And it wasn't long before he guided them into what looked like an office with the view over the nightclub. Nina couldn't help but walk over to the large window and looked down. "He will be with you in a second, so just take a seat and make yourself at home," the bartender said before he closed the door. "Must be amazing in the evening," she said, more to herself than to Hex.

Hex looked up from her camera as the bartender returned and instructed them to follow him. With a nod, she moved behind Nina and along the passage, before climbing the stairs. The music was quieter back there, not that it had been loud before, and glancing back to the tender as he mentioned for them to make themselves comfortable, Hex again nodded. Once he had gone, she sighed a little and looked over to Nina, moving to stand by her, looking over the club. "What, you've never been here before?!" She couldn't believe that she hadn't been to the club before. "Okay, one night, sometime soon, me and you are coming out. Here. To dance, to find you some hot, hunky guy." She smiled and wiggled her eyebrows up and down suggestively with a laugh. Of course, then she remembered she was pregnant, and so drinking was out of the question for her. "Get a few drinks in you and I'm sure this place won't know what's hit it." She smirked, glancing around the office - a nice enough space.

She laughed at herself when Nina corrected her, and her eyes also went to the window when the lights and lasers began, testing for the evening. "Oh. Well yeah, the view is probably pretty neat." As the reporter headed to the chair, Hex continued to look out over the dancefloor. "Well, my offer still stands. To go out, I mean. After all, if we get in with the owner, we might be made VIPs!" She laughed a little. "Maybe have our own little roped off area, cheap cocktails, that sort of thing." After a moment, Hex found herself getting a little restless. "How long does he expect us to wait here for him? He knew fine well what time we were due to arrive. This article is for his benefit as well as ours..." Her eyes wandered over the activities below. "I mean, for all he knows, we could have a million other things to do today and him being late might be making us late... It's just good manners to at least be on time for stuff.."

Raker had observed the two blonds for a second before he opened the door completely and stepped in, of course Nina would be the first one to see him as she faced him, whether Hex stood with her back to him. "Sorry for keeping ye waiting ladies," he said and moved over to the sitting blond who got to her feet. He took the hand she reached out and gave her a wink and kissed her hand. "I'm Daniel O'Keefe and if I had known that two such pretty ladies would visit me, I would not have kept ye waiting," he said as his eyes moved over to Hex, a slight smirk spread on his face as he observed the other woman.

Hex heard the door click open, and as she heard the man who entered apologize for keeping them waiting, she snorted a little bit of a scoff, before turning around to see him kiss Nina's hand. And then, the whole room seemed to fade away, as her eyes settled upon the man. Instantly, any coherant thought that had been playing around in her head vanished, and all that was left in there was mush. She just stared at him, the man who called himself Daniel. But of course, she knew him under a different name. After what seemed like an eternity, Hex shook her head very slightly, in disbelief. "...Raker?" Her voice was so soft and distant that she could barely hear it herself, and without taking her eyes off him, she lowered to place the expensive camera she held onto a nearby table, afraid she would drop it if she didn't. This couldn't be. Raker couldn't be the new owner. He couldn't be. It was obviously some sort of mistake. "What are you... I mean... How..." Her lips were moving, allowing only parts of sentances to escape.

Nina blushed a little as the guy kissed her hand, but before she managed to introduce her or Hex, her head turned when she heard Hex speak. She looked from Daniel to Hex and back again. "You two know each other?" she asked and waved her finger between the two. Okay why did this feel so weird. She wasn't exactly sure what to do at this point, she looked at Hex and then at this Daniel guy again, who seemed rather amused by it all.

Raker couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Oh this lovely woman and I go way back," he said and kept his gaze on Hex. "Please sit," he said gesturing to the two chairs, one that Nina had preoccupied only seconds ago. But it wasn't long before his eyes were back at Hex and there was this hint of a dark smirk playing on his lips.

Her head felt like it was spinning as she watched Raker, memories of their time together flooding back into her brain. All the things they had done together, to each other... Of their first meeting, back in that alleyway, of the first time she had killed for sport, the first taste of human flesh. They had all been down to him. When Nina asked if they knew each other, Hex couldn't get her brain or throat to work to answer, but thankfully Raker did so for her. However, hearing that name he had had for her - grasshopper... It had caused a hint of a smile to play upon her lips, but she quickly banished it. It was what he had called her, his affectionate little nickname for her, and even though she hadn't heard it in so long, it still made her shiver, in a good way, at the thought. As he pulled away and he offered them a seat each, Hex finally let her gaze drop from Raker, as she made her way rather cautiously, to the seat, and once onto it, she was glad to have something more sturdy beneath her. She had never thought she would see this man again, but now he was there, right in front of her, and a hundred questions bubbled into her mind. "So... you're the new owner of the club then?" It was clear she was still a little dazed. In fact, a breath of fresh air would be needed soon, to compose herself.

Raker chuckled once again when Hex asked her question. "I'm more like the manager and part owner with several others, ye can say it's a ......family business," he explained, not once had his gaze left Hex. Almost as if he was checking her out. He tilted his head a little. "Ye've come a long way since back then, I hadn't imagined to see ye with a camera in yer hand though," he said briefly glancing to Nina, who wasn't quite sure how to move on from this little personal meeting that was going on. But his eyes were pretty quickly back on Hex.

She heard him speak, about the family nusiness part, but her mind was still reeling and she didn't really digest the information properly. Her eyes hadn't left him much, either, almost like they were trying to stare each other out. But the way he looked at her hadn't changed in ten years. Surprisingly, the way that stare of his made her feel hadn't changed much, either. It gave her goosebumps, and when he mentioned she had come a long way since they had known each other, Hex nodded slowly, managing to pull her gaze away from him, over to the camera she had set down. She sat up a little straighter in her chair, and once more her eyes found his, the spark he knew so well still evident there. "The things you taught me, I had to try and forget them." When she had first come to Carpe Noctum, she had been much the same creature as when Raker had last seen her - cocky, arrogant, a dangerous animal indeed, but now, she had had to change, for the sake of her family, for her brothers, for the man she now called her husband, and her children. Raker smirked as he kept his eyes on her. "Shame.....I had hoped ye would be interested in coming and work for us. I bet ye've got lot of question for me," he said and sent both Nina and Hex a bright and flirtatious smile. What could he say, he tended to do that, especially when he was in the company of two such fine women as these two were. "Just don't ask me about me life story, cause then ye'll be stuck here for a while," he said with a slight chuckle.

She went strangely quiet as his attentions turned back to Nina, and she remained in her seat, her eyes firmly locked onto him, as if trying to figure him out. Why here? Why now? Why had he just left one night, vanishing without a trace? She had thought he was dead and he simply shows up here, without a care in the world. It was impossible to hide the dark look she gave him, as if his mere presence was drawing it out of her, just as he had done back then, in New York. He would tell her to jump, she would ask how high. He had been her tutor, her guide, and then he had left her alone, to deal with the world by herself. He had taught her well, of course, and she was able to get by with the skills he had shown her. And so despite the dark, awful things he had introduced her to, he had probably saved her life by teaching them to her. And so, her dark, dangerous glare turned softer, as if she were going back over old memories, a sad, disappointed look sweeping over her as she drifted off into a land of her own. And then his words echoed inside her head once more, and she had to ask the question. He had known that she would have been intreguied by his words. "Hold on a minute... You want me to come and work here? What do you mean 'someone with your skills?'" Her gaze and mood had turned a little darker now, it seemed her secret pregnancy was already beginning to show it's effects on her moods - it wasn't clear if she wanted to hug Raker, for being her mentor back then, for probably saving her life by teaching her how to be a killer, or to kill him for the same thing.

Raker's smirk grew even wider, he briefly looked at Nina, after all he wasn't sure how much she knew about anything. His gaze moved back to Hex, he took his feet down from his table and instead leaned forward, resting his arms in front of him on the table. "I am not saying you'll be working here at the club. I've always told you, if you were good enough, you could come and work for my master. Back then you seemed pretty eager," he said as his smirk grew. "Of course I know you can't right now, but maybe after," he said and looked towards Hex' stomach as if he knew her little secret. He leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms over his chest. Briefly glancing to the other blond who clearly was as confused as someone could be, looking from him and at Hex and back again.

Her eyes never once left Raker as he took his feet down and leaned himself forwards onto the desk somewhat. His words, about working for his master, brought back distant echoes in her mind - ten years ago, he had indeed told her that if she was good enough, he would introduce her to his master. Of course, back then, she had been a killer, or at least one in the making, and she had had images of grandeur, that she would be his master's pet of sorts, his masters personal assassin. An attack dog. He had never told her the name of his master, and her interest was sparked once more. After all, Raker was old, very old, which meant that his master must be older. It must also mean that he was in contact with his master and that they were probably not that far away. All of this went on in her head, but as soon as he mentioned that he was aware she couldn't for the moment and his eyes angled down to her stomach, she suddenly became flustered. He knew about the pregnancy? How? Her own brothers didn't even know, nor the Head Gamma. Could he sense it somehow? She looked paniced, and as much as she tried to move her gaze over to Nina, to check if she had caught his meaning, her eyes simply wouldn't leave Raker's. "How do you kno...." She cut herself off from asking how he could possibly know about the pregnancy, with the shake of her head. "I can't... I can't do this right now..." Hex grabbed her camera, suddenly needing that breath of fresh air, and knowing that Nina would think it was highly unprofessional and word would probably get back to Brody, she fled the office, leaving Raker with Nina to do the interview they came here for. The sooner they were done, the sooner they could leave. She dashed down the hallway and downstairs, before walking quickly to the exit. As soon as the fresh air hit her, she took in a deep lungful and closed her eyes. It seemed her past was catching up with her. After a long moment, she pulled herself together, and took a few pictures of the outside of the club, before heading back inside and taking some shots of the interior. She looked up to the office space and knew that she would have to face Raker again, to get the shots of the new owner Brody wanted. Her mind went over what he had said, about his master, about wanting to recruit her, and yes, she had been keen ten years ago, but things were different now. She wasn't a killer anymore, at least, she was trying her best not to be. As she glanced down to the camera, her eyes lingered on her wedding ring, and her heart suddenly ached for Jack. How would he react when he found out Raker was in town?

Nina wasn't sure what to say or do, but when Hex suddenly rushed out of the office, it was clear that Hex was upset and this guy was the cause of it. She glanced back at this Daniel or Raker or what ever his name was. Nina wanted to go after Hex and make sure she was okay, but on the other hand she had to do this interview, they could hardly come back with nothing. Nina fiddled with her tape recorder and placed it on the desk. "I think we better get started," Nina said and sent the guy a small smile.

When it came down to it, then there really wasn't much to come for. The guy wasn't that interested in talking about his previous work. Running a club was apparently new to him, but he had some loyal people around him and they would of course be hired, some had experience in the clubbing world, but he didn't want to reveal their names, it was private. So when she couldn't get any more out of him, she turned off the tape recorder and started to pack her things, wondering where Hex was, cause they still needed the photo of the guy.

After taking some pictures of the inside of the club, of the bar and the dancefloor, Hexknew she had to return to the office, to get the shots Brody needed for the story, and so she took in a deep breath, told herself to stop being so childish, and do her job. She headed back upstairs and along towards the office, pausing a second outside the door before heading back inside, camera still in hand. "Our boss wants a shot or two of the new owner." Her eyes went to Nina and offered her an apologetic smile, for rushing off like she did, before looking to Raker. She was trying to be professional now, and indicated to the camera as if to emphaise her point. "If that's okay with you, Mr. O'Keefe." She had never called Raker by his proper name before, she didn't even know what his real name had been. She looked to Raker, and even though she had so many questions for him, now was not the time nor the place. Hex moved to the other side of the desk and lifted the camera, finding him in the viewfinder. She took one shot of him sitting at the desk, before lowering the camera. "If you could just stand up for me, and we'll get a few full body shots..." It felt odd, talking to him like this was just another news story.

Raker had tried and answer the reporters questions the best he could, but there were certain things he couldn't just reveal, after all he didn't want to give everything away right away. He had of course looked at Hex as she had stormed out, but other than that he had acted like he had no clue what was going on. As she came back in, he did what he was told, but he always had this intense stare on her. And as she asked him to stand, he got up from his chair and moved around the desk, watching Nina move away a little, so Hex could get a better shot of Raker. Still he kept an intense stare on Hex.

She of course could see that he was watching her intently. As he did as he was told, and stood in front of the desk, Hex again found him in the viewfinder and began taking a few shots, before moving back a little and taking a few more from a slightly different angle, before moving a little closer, to focus the shot more on Raker himself, fiddling with the lens as she did so. As she watched him through the camera, she could still see him watching her. It was a look she recognized from her time with him. When she was done, she glanced at the images she had taken, and seeming fairly hapy with them, she nodded to Nina before looking back to Raker himself. "Alright, I've got the shots. They should good when the magazine goes to print. Thanks for taking the time to talk to us, Sir." She had obviously gone into work mode, wanting to make up for her previous unprofessionalism. She looked to Nina with a smile. "Nina, could you give me a minute? I'll meet you in the car and then we can get back to the office. I just need to have a word with Mr. O'Keefe here." Hex knew that Nina knew that this was a personal matter, and knew the reported would give her a minute alone with Raker.

Raker didn't even look after Nina as she left the office, his eyes stayed on Hex. He had grabbed his pack of cigarettes and lit one, taking a deep inhalation before he slowly blew it out. "So what is it Mrs. Moonlight wants to talk with me about?" he asked. Oh yes, not only did he know about her being pregnant, but also the fact that she was now married. Still leaning up against his desk there was a dark smirk on his face, just waiting for what exactly Hex wanted to say or do for that matter. One thing was clear, he hasn't changed one bit, not that he wanted to, why should he, he had way too much fun.

Hex smiled as Nina left the office - she wouldn't take long with Raker, then she would be straight down. But as they were left alone, her smile faded somewhat and her eyes locked onto him, her gaze almost as dark as his. However, she was caught off-guard again when he called her Mrs. Moonlight. A confused, surprised look washed over her as she shook her head lightly. She took a bold step closer to him, her voice lowering. "Alright, I don't know how you know this stuff about me, Raker, but it stops now. I don't know why you're in town, but whatever the reason, it can't be good. For anyone." Her eyes scanned down him quickly. "I still haven't forgiven you for leaving like you did. No warning, no word, no nothing. You just vanished one day. I thought you were dead." Her eyes became that much darker as they seemed to spark. "If you know I'm married to a Moonlight, then you know who he is. He's the town Beta. If he finds out that the guy who made me into a killer is in town, he'll go ballistic." She knew Jack had a tendancy to get a little protective and possessive when other guys showed an interest in her, and she thought that this would be no different, especially if he ever found out what they used to get up to. "I have to go, carry on with the normal life I managed to salvage, no thanks to you. But we are not finished, Raker. You owe me some answers." Specifically, how he knew she was pregnant and how he knew her name.

Raker let out a laugh when Hex brought up Jack. He moved around the desk and sat down, putting his feet up on the corner of the desk and took another deep inhalation. "I can kill Jack in a flash of an eye if I wanted to, but sadly he's off limits" he said, looking in the direction of Hex. "Go home to your family if you must, but you're all doomed," he said, letting out a slight sigh and moved back to his feet and headed over to the door as if he was going to open it for Hex. "My offer will still stand.....your family won't have to suffer and realise it, you miss it. The killings," he said before he opened the door. "Nice seeing you again....grasshopper. Can't wait to see you again," he said with a dark smirk on his face.

Her eyes followed Raker as he moved around the desk once more, but the instant he said Jack's name, alarm bells began ringing. After all, she hadn't mentioned her husband's first name, only Moonlight. It meant that Raker knew more than he was letting on. It meant that he had been keeping tabs on her, or someone he knew, had. Suddenly, Raker held a lot more threat that simply just arriving in town by coincidence. She tensed up - he had said that Jack was off-limits to Raker, so someone must have been giving him his orders. Her mind began racing as to what this all meant, until he had said her family were doomed. Then, her mind went blank and her only thought, her only concern was for her children, and for the ones she was carrying. Her eyes followed him closely once more as he moved to the door, and as he mentioned his offer still stood, that her family wouldn't suffer, she felt a flood of fire burn through her veins. It sounded like a threat. Even if he was right, because she did miss the killings, every now and again. She had been on a tight leash since Jack had become Beta, and there had been wobbles on the way, but on the whole she had been fairly good. For the shortest of seconds, she did miss the killing, she missed the darkness, the freedom it gave her. She knew Raker would be able to see it in her eyes, and so she shook her head quickly as if dismissing the idea. He had opened the door for her, and before heading through it, she let her eyes latch like a vice onto his. "I will find out what you're up to, Raker. I'll find out what you're doing here." He knew so much about her, she had a suspicion that the club may have been a front for something bigger. "You said Jack was off-limits... He better stay that way. Same goes for my children, for my whole family. If anything happens to them, you'll be the prime suspect, Raker. You, and the one giving you your orders." With that. she turned and headed out towards Nina's car, where she would be waiting. This whole visit had unnerved her and given her more worries that she was ready to deal with right now.

Nina didn't like leaving the office, but she had ended up doing so. Leaning up against her car she waited for Hex with a concerned expression on her face as she kept an eye on the club. When she finally saw her colleague she looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Is everything okay?" she asked. It was clear that Hex knew the guy, not that she wanted to pry or anything, but she didn't want Hex to end up in something bad. Sure they might not be close friends, but they had always gotten along and Nina liked the woman.

As she pushed the door to leave the club, she had felt eyes burning into her back, knowing Raker was probably watching as she left. The moment the fresh air hit her, she felt a little better, and her eyes quickly found Nina, standing by her car. To her question, Hex forced a smile and shook her head softly. "No... I don't think it is." Hex headed around to the passanger door, looking back upto the club before her gaze found Nina once more. "That guy... He's a part of my past that I've been trying to get away from. My darker days." Hex wasn't sure how much Nina knew about her, about the killings, about the Rose Alliance when she used to be part of the organization however briefly. "I used to be a not-so-nice person. Killed some people. Lots of them, actually."
