The wedding was three weeks away and Bonnie felt like she still had a ton of things to do, but she needed some time away from everything, so of course she had come in for work today. Although on her way, she had been around the drug store to get a pregnancy test. She hadn't had her period and she was now being quite sure that she was pregnant. Not to mention she had started to feel a bit light headed the last couple of days. Of course she had made the excuse that she had had a lot to think about with the wedding. Reira's miscarriage and attack and her High Priestess duties too. She let herself into the shop through the back way and dropped her bag on one fo the desks in the back room that they used as an office. Two desks put together, so they could look at each other when they did inventory and accounts and such. Cassie hadn't arrived yet, but Bonnie figured she would show up any second. Bonnie fiddled with her bag a little, thinking if she should go and take the test now before Cassie came, she opened her bag and took the small box up and looked at it. It was so strange, last time she had taken one had been almost five years ago at the manor, after she had broken up with AJ. This time it was completely different though, after all she was about to marry him and they had been working hard on getting to this precise moment. But she wanted to keep it a secret for as long as possible and if she could, she wanted to surprise AJ on their honeymoon with the news.

Cassandra headed up into the store, with a small box under one arm. She had been spending most of her free time in the kitchen, working on some experiments for possible potions and remedies to sell in the shop. Since Bonnie said she was coming in at the same time, Cassie figured she'd bring them in to show her. She walked to the back of the store and saw her friend standing at her desk, staring at something. "Hey didykai," she said, walking in. She put the box down on her desk and said, "I got some new stuff to show you." She smiled as she looked up at her. You can see she was still dealing with what had happened from the attack, but Cassandra was always one to put a smile on. She pulled a couple bottles and pouches out, saying, "I've been a busy body in the kitchen lately. I'm amazed the thing is still standing."

Bonnie had been lost in her own thought plus reading the text on the back of the box when Cassie suddenly appeared in the back room. Bonnie quickly put the box back in her bag and looked over at what Cassie was showing, sending her a crooked smile. "That's great," she said with a smile, and stuffed her bag under the desk so it was out of sight and out of mind so to speak. Bonnie hadn't really been having the time lately to do much remedy making and if her suspicions were true as well, then she wouldn't be do anything for the next many months. She didn't want to risk anything this time, so any experimenting would be a no go on her part. "What have you made?" she asked and moved around the desks and took one of the bottles and looked at the content.

Cassie noticed Bonnie scurry something away in her bag and under the desk, but she didn't pry. She turned to her friend and said, "Well, the one you got there is a hardcore sleep remedy. Put a drop of that in your drink, and you'll have a good night's sleep without any interruptions. It's been pretty useful for me lately." She looked over some of her other items and added, "And the blue vial is a bit of a small strength enhancer. Doesn't turn you into Hercules, but you can save some energy when doing some heavy lifting." She then picked up a small pouch. "This one is still a little under works, but I'm trying to make a lucky charm, so to speak. Haven't exactly tested it out yet." With all this chaos and drama that had been happening around them, Cassie had been having luck-based spells and such wrapped around her thoughts for awhile now. She smiled to Bonnie. "As you can see, I've been a tad distracted by my gypsy skills. Grandma Addie's been a lot of help for me too."

Bonnie looked up from the bottle she was holding and had a concerned expression on her face. "You know I could make you a protection bag if you want. Not sure why Reira didn't wear hers," she said and looked back down at the bottle before she put it down again. "Anyway, could you open the shop, I have to go to the bathroom," she said and sent Cassie an innocent smile. She actually had to go, so she figured she could get things done with. She moved over to her desk and grabbed her bag, although she looked a bit doubtful at her bag. What if it was just false alarm, although it couldn't be, it just couldn't. But then she decided it was best knowing, so she started heading towards the toilet.

Cassie shrugged at Bonnie's offer. "Eh, it's entirely up to you, really," she replied. "Although, there's nothing wrong with a little more protection." She took out the other vials and such and placed the box under her desk. When Bonnie asked if she could open shop, Cassie smiled. "Sure, that's no problem." She couldn't help but notice that Bonnie took her bag with her, but she didn't say anything. Cassie took a quick walk oaround the store, glancing at all the merchandise, making sure everything was okay. She then headed to the front and unlocked the front door, switching the tiny sign to open. Cassandra walked back behind the counter, next to the register, so she's ready whenever a customer walks in. She couldn't help but glance over to where the bathroom was, a small grin growing on her face.

Bonnie didn't know how long she had been on the bathroom. She had read the manual on how to do it, she had used the stick, had waited the right amount of time, but now staring at it, it was like she couldn't quite get it through to her brain, but there was a smile playing on her lips....She WAS pregnant. But now what? Of course this meant she had to see the doctor to get it confirmed, then she started to worry, what if she couldn't fit her wedding dress on the wedding day. Cassie watched the door, waiting to see or hear something, but was soon distracted by a customer. She helped them out with their purchases, and was soon alone again. And Bonnie was still in the bathroom... Okay, now Cassie was starting to get a little worried. She walked over to the door and gently knocked on it, while saying, "Hey didykai, everything okay in there? Please tell me you didn't fall asleep, cause I have no idea how I'm going to explain that to your fiance." She smiled at her joke, but a hint of concern was in her voice. The last thing she needs is something to happen to Bonnie that she isn't going to like.

Bonnie didn't react at first, but eventually she managed to focus on the door, but she still didn't move, instead the door unlocked by itself and shortly after opened. Bonnie looked straight at Cassie. "What if I can't fit my wedding dress," she said and held up the stick. Of course she would only be little over two months pregnant and she hadn't started showing until after three months with Jamie, but she had read that second time mothers could show sooner. That was her largest concern right now, if she could fit her wedding dress or not on her wedding day. Of course it was completely ridiculous but her mind was completely messed up right now.

Cassie watched as the door opened itself, then glanced over to where Bonnie was sitting. When she heard Bonnie's question, Cassie couldn't help but giggle a little. She knelt in front of Bonnie and said, "Well, it's a good thing I know how to sew, if needed, huh?" she asked, grinning. She hugged Bonnie, so happy for her best friend right now. Not to mention, a flood of relief. "So glad you finally found out. I was dying from waiting so long," she said. Cassie didn't realize she was practically holding her breath with this news until she felt the relief wash over her. After Reira's miscarriage, she was more then tempted to go ahead and tell Bonnie.

Bonnie couldn't help but chuckle a little when she realised how she must sound, returning Cassie's hug. "I've had a suspicion for some time now, but I didn't dare taking a test until now," she said and looked one final look at the stick as if to be sure before she packed it back into the small box and put it in the small dust bin. She got up and washed her hands and ended up looking at herself and there was this glow in her eyes and that small smile glued on her face. "I want this to be a secret. Cassie didn't blame the girl. Reira was devastated when she was told what happened, still is, actually. But the similarity with Cassie and Reira is that when something bothers them, they don't want to show it. "I think," she started to answer, "I think Reira would be even more upset if you kept it a secret from her. True, she's dealing with a heavy loss, but you and I both know Reira hates it when she's treated like fragile glass." The only one that got away with it was Aidan, but given the circumstances, it made sense.

Even though he hasn't really said it, then I kinda think AJ was starting to think that something was wrong with him, because we've tried for so long and well with Jamie it was one little slip up and boom I was pregnant," she said. If AJ knew that she was talking about this with anyone he would hide away in shame and usually Bonnie didn't talk about these sort of things, but for some reason it was pretty easy around Cassie. Bonnie grabbed her back and headed out of the bathroom, moving to her desk and dropped it on there. Cassandra sighed with Bonnie's talk of their concerns. "Honey, staring at a pot won't make it boil..." She then paused and added, "Okay, that expression doesn't work for you, cause you have that elemental mojo thing, but you get what I mean. But that doesn't matter anymore, cause you're pregnant!" She grinned and held her hands up in the air to show her excitement. She followed Bonnie into the back of the store, double-checking if any customers came in. "Aww, a birthday gift? Bonnie stuck out her tongue at Cassie's last remark and gave her an nudge back. Bonnie had an idea how the news would be celebrated. In fact she doubted they would leave the cottage much during that week. "Oh speaking of honeymoon, could you do me a little favour. Check up on Jamie and my dad. I know she's tried to stay a whole week with my dad, but I thought that maybe she would like you to stop by. I was planning on asking Evee to come and play with her too. Jamie really likes that girl," she said. Jamie was the kind of girl who welcomed new people into her life with open arms, but she tended to surround herself among people she knew well. After Cassie headed to the front of the shop, Bonnie took a seat behind her desk and without even thinking it she had placed a hand on her stomach. A warm feeling rushing through her, the thought that she was carrying AJ's child. She looked towards a picture on her desk of Jamie and AJ, she loved that picture. AJ was so great with Jamie and she idolized her dad and that thought of how it could have turned out if she hadn't tried to turn AJ around. Things might have been different. She wouldn't be sitting here for sure and who knew, maybe AJ wouldn't even be around. Dead by an overdose or lying somewhere in the gutter. She shook her head a little when those depressing thoughts popped into her head. No, she had to focus on the good things that AJ had stayed clean for over four years that he had been the work-at-home dad while she had tried to open her own shop, sure she had only worked part time, spending the rest of her time at home making remedies and such for the shop, while Cassie took care of the customers. No, Bonnie was blessed, if she hadn't had AJ in her life, she wouldn't have been able to do this, sure she would have had dad, but he was still working, although it was only half time and now he was just a paper pusher as he called it. He would retire soon, but she didn't want to have to rely on him all the time, no matter how great he was with Jamie. She let out a slight sigh as she looked down at her still flat stomach, but she knew that soon she would pop out and for some reason, she couldn't wait. The feeling of AJ wrapping his arms around her from behind and placing his hands on her stomach. The first kick. This time around she would take it easy, she would take things slow and she would let someone take over for her, which made her think, she would need a Priestess who could take over for her and for some reason, she kept seeing Reira in front of her. Sure she hadn't exactly made the best choices over the years, but she was still only human and humans learned from their mistakes. At least she hoped.

Cassie stood up front as the customer glanced through the store. She occasionally glanced back to look at Bonnie, partly making sure she didn't pass out from shock or excitement. And also just to see that happy look on her friend's face. She knew that her and AJ had been trying hard for growing their family, so it made Cassie feel good to see her best friend happy. After they were alone again, she yelled from the counter, "Hey! Since you're pregnant, does that mean more shopping trips? You know how much I love to be the spoiling auntie." She laughed and looked in the office again. "Just as long as we don't have to worry about vengeful werewolves, or psychotic vampires. Honestly, I think I'm done fighting for awhile. Besides, Nick might kill me if I get into anymore trouble." The poor guy, she really had been putting him through a lot. She's amazed he's stuck around with her wild self for this long to begin with.

Bonnie looked up when Cassie spoke, she smiled a little before she got up and headed into the shop again. "Well I thought I would use the stuff we used when we had Jamie," she said, for some reason she couldn't keep her hand away from her stomach and there was this smile on her face that said she had a nice secret. "You know I hope it's a boy. Of course AJ wants another girl. I think he likes the idea of having another Daddy's girl. He's done a good job with Jamie, if you ask me," she said with a slight smile. Of course Jamie didn't mind Bonnie, but when the little girl wanted something, then she always went to AJ. "You know if anyone had told me four years ago that you would end up with my cousin, I wouldn't have believed them, but you're right you should think about your actions. After all there are people here who cares about you. And Nick is not the only one," she said.

Cassandra sighed, "I know, I know..." She looked over to her friend and gave a slight smile. "It's just, it's almost first instinct to act, you know. I have to help my friends and family in any way I can. My grandmother told me that the biokinetics in our family aren't leaders, but protectors, so that's what I'm so used to being." She then laughed and added, "Besides, a part of me is fighting the whole happy life, think-of-settling-down kind of thing. Maybe I should get pregnant too. That way I got something else to stop me." She laughed at her playful suggestion, but it did make her stop to think of the idea. Man, it as almost scary to think of. She would definitely have to slow down then.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
