Carpe Noctum

Dayton wriggled to help Breanna get his boxers off. His hand trailed between them, stroking her skin as it got lower and lower. But rather doing anything, he simply pulled down the last piece of clothing that she had on. But as he trailed his hand back up, that's when he decided to linger at her lower region for awhile. Dayton was feeling needy, but he's always one for playing with the girls first. It's fun and entertaining for him, plus it makes the night more fun and worth it all. When he pulled his hand back and held himself up from the bed, he couldn't help but smirk at Brea. But before she could do or say anything he leaned down and kissed her again.

Wow that was one hell of a session between them. He was amazed that Brea was that skilled. Not that he thought she was a virgin or anything, but dang. When she instantly covered up and said that comment, Dayton shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't know, I thought that was pretty good," he replied. He then looked over at Breanna and rolled his eyes. "Oh don't start that," he said, rolling to his side, "acting all innocent and regretful about it all. You liked it just as much as I did, and from what I experienced, you probably have been around the block a time or two. Or you like to practice some of those moves by yourself." Yeah, he knows there's some things you shouldn't say aloud to a girl, but Dayton's just one of those guys that don't care.

Dayton clenched his jaw when he felt a smack across the face. Sure he's used to hits and such from other people and the underground fighting, but getting slapped by Brea struck a chord. He hid it though with a laugh as she got up from the bed and tried to storm out of there. But when she stopped and looked at him, he looked up and saw her underwear. "Oh, do you need these?" he asked, his hand raising up as if to grab it. But the moment he touched them, he grinned and let his hand back down. If she wanted them, she can get them. Which Breanna tried to do. But the moment she fell atop of him, he took the advantage and flipped them over, pinning her hands above them.

"Lets get something straight," he said, staring down at her. "Yes, we got naked and did the dirty deed. No point in trying to deny this or trying to fuss over it. Especially since you instigated it. Yeah, you were under dark influence, but I know the moment I first kissed you, you came back to your senses. But you didn't push me away." Yeah, he noticed her going back to normal, he just didn't say anything. "So accept this and move on. You want this as a one-time deal, so be it. But slapping me isn't going to fix anything, especially when you already knew that I'm a prick or 'moron' as you so gracefully put it." He got close to her face, their lips almost touching, and he whispered, "Don't pretend you didn't like it..." He lingered there a moment longer before sitting back up and letting her go.

Dayton didn't say anything when Breanna got up in a fuss. It's nothing he hasn't heard before from other girls. Dayton never cared either. Feelings get hurt, time moves on. But when he looked up at her and saw the tear down her cheek as she left, he let out a sigh and fell back on his bed. Gah, he doesn't want to see Breanna upset like that. But what was he supposed to do? Apologize for being himself? He leaned over to the side table and pulled out the drawer that held his cigarettes. But as he was abotu to light one, he stopped. Breanna is going to kill him if she catches him smoking in the room. Geezus, why the hell do I care??

He put the cigarettes back and let out a groan. He's gonna have to apologize, he knew it. He told himself only cause they had to work together. He stood up and put on a pair of jeans before heading out the room. He walked up to her bedroom door and paused. "Breanna, I..." Gosh, this was hard for him. "I'm sorry Breanna. I don't know why I said things like that to you. I just act like that to everyone." He ran his hand on his head and sighed. "You got to grow up with a loving family. I didn't. No one cared about me, so I taught myself not to give a flying flip about others. If you hurt them first, well, they can't hurt you back..." Dayton had never opened up to anyone. Not even AnnaBell, and they're good friends. "I know you're different from other girls, cause we were close as kids, it's just almost instinct for me now to be a jerk before being a friend."

Dayton didn't say anything after that. It was all he could think of to say. If she forgave him, she forgave him. If she just remained silent, with the door shut in front of them, he'll take it as it is and call it a day. He doesn't let things hold him back, otherwise he wouldn't be who he is now.

Dayton couldn't help but feel a bit relieved when she opened the door. As she walked over to her bed, Dayton walked in the room, but remained standing. He listened as Breanna spoke about what was back then. It made him think back to when they were alone on the streets. Back to when they were kids and he made it his duty to keep Breanna safe and happy. "I... Forgot what it was like to be that kind of person," he finally said. "I grew up without my brother, who showed me love and protection, and you weren't around for me to keep safe and be close to. All I had were foster parents who beat me because I wasn't 'normal'. Or worse, they would cast me away as if I was trash and give me no emotion or care. Over time, I forgot what family was like. What having friends who care about you no matter what felt like."

He thought for a moment then decided to sit on the edge of the bed beside her. "But maybe I had to change. I had to learn to be hard for times like these. So that when you and I got reunited, and work together, I can be that wall." He tilted his head a bit to try and see Breanna's face. "C'mon, you know we're a pretty good team. Even when we were kids, we worked together, like pranking my brother." He gave a tiny smile. "Who knows, maybe you can slap the mean out of me and teach me to become a nice guy again." If felt odd to be so open with her, with anyone. But hey, at least he's trying.

Dayton listened as Breanna spoke. He couldn't help but roll his eyes a bit and bite his tongue about her claiming to bring back his old self. Dayton wasn't too sure of that. He kept telling himself that Patrick had died a long time ago. But it couldn't be too true if he still cared for Breanna. He didn't say anything about it, but smiled slightly back to her grin. "Well, I'll do my best to be here for you, although you might have to re-teach me what that job entails. As for me coming to you, don't hold your breath." He let out a laugh and nudged Brea with his shoulder.

Dayton clicked his tongue and gave Breanna a puppy dog pout. "Aw, but I'm so cuddly..." He let out a laugh and wasn't surprised that she gave him another punch. When she threatened him if he told anyone about tonight, he rolled his eyes. But he bit his tongue from giving another cocky comment. Probably hit the limit of those with Breanna today. "Whatever you say," he smiled back. "And yes, still friends." He hugged her and he felt her kiss him on the cheek again, and he felt so at ease there. He let her go and grinned as he said, "Of course, you curse me, I will take that as an act of war, and I might just have to retaliate with equal forces." He got up and smiled before heading towards the door. "Sweet dreams, Brea," he said, turning to face her before shutting the door. To anyone it was a farewell, but between those two, it was an old promise he used to make to her every night. He would make sure she never had nightmares when he was around. Silent proof that the Patrick she knew just may be lingering around somewhere inside...
