Sophia had been pretty restless all day, Louis had pretty much kept himself amused all day, and though he cried when he was hungry or needed changing, Sophia didn't really hear a peep out of him. Arranging for the nurse that looked after Leona's twins to watch Louis, Sophia had left the Chateau in the late afternoon so that she could go shopping, the result of which ended in her spending a lot of money on a stunning red dress that she had chosen to wear tonight. Since things hadn't gone so well with Leo the other night, Sophia was trying to make herself feel a little better than she currently was doing. Today was the first day that she had left her son, and she was planning on making the most of it. As she stepped out of her taxi, Sophia smiled to the bouncer who opened the door for her. She knew that Leo wouldn't be touching her for a while, so if he didn't want to enjoy her then why not let someone else. Of course Sophia would never cheat on her husband, she just wanted to feel wanted. Swaying her way through the tables, Sophia took a seat in one of the booths, loving the fact that she was seen too straight away, and taking advantage of the fact that she hadn't brought her car, Sophia ordered a bottle of Champagne, the good stuff, not caring that she was presently here on her own.
A light sigh escaped the Head Lady as she idly traced a finger around the top of her glass of water. She too was alone for the night and was sitting by herself not far from where the seneschal was sitting although she had yet to notice the woman just yet. Lots of things were going on in her life and right now she just wanted a little time to spend on her own. You could say it was a rare place to find Artemys in the Jazz House. Usually you’d never see her there especially since she didn’t really care much for jazz music. Nonetheless she needed some place a little different from the norm.
Stopping what she was currently doing, she rested her cheek into the palm of her hand before letting her dual-colored eyes wander about the place as if she was expecting to see a familiar place among the crowd. Coincidentally though she actually did as her sights were set on Sophia seated nearby. It didn’t look like she was with anyone nor expecting somebody all the same… Wouldn’t she be with Leo? She thought which made her wonder if the married pair had fixed things up since that night the red-hair vampiress had showed up on the Lady’s doorstep with her godson. It didn’t seem like it she had to admit.
Picking up the cold water glass, she picked herself up from the table and made her way over to the booth Sophia was at. She stopped right by it and sent the woman a little smile. "Evening Sophia… Mind if I join you?"

Sophia hadn't been expecting to see anyone here let alone Artemys. Smiling up to her, Sophia nodded when the Head Lady asked if it was alright that she joined her. Taking another sip of her champagne, emptying the glass, Sophia poured herself another drink. "Care for some Champagne my Lady... its awfully good." she offered briefly gesturing towards the bottle of Champagne that was chilling by the side of the table, a slightly dark smile at her lips. "I wouldn't expect to see you here." she explained keeping her eyes on Artemys. Sophia assumed that Art was wondering why she was here alone, Sophia was wondering that herself, but obviously her husband was a little too busy tonight. Besides the champagne was helping things.
Artemys sent Sophia another smile before placing her glass on the table and sliding herself opposite from Sophia. When the woman asked her if she wanted Champagne, she immediately shook her head and gestured a wave as well indicating her refusal. "No thank you. Although I’m tempted for a taste then legally I’m still underage. Still have a year before I officially turn 21." She chuckled a little. Even though she was a vampire and could perhaps lie about her age then there was still her ID that indicated so. She was just thankful she wasn’t stuck at the age of five like she was supposed to… although it still was a mystery to her as to why that was.
Another chuckle escaped her when the seneschal mentioned that she didn’t expect to see her there. "I would not have either to tell you the truth. Decided to try some place different for once…. I needed to get out somewhere so here I ended up." She smiled again before looking a little thoughtful. "And what of you? You seem like you’re here alone if I may point out the obvious." Artemys said as she tilted her head a little curiously.

Sophia couldn't help but smile a little when Art decline the champagne when she stated that she was still a year off being to young. Of course Sophia wasn't going to force her, but the woman was a vampire, she could have anything that she wanted in theory. Then when Art voiced her opinion of finding Sophia here alone, Sophia sat back a little in her chair, contemplating how best to put what she wanted to say. "Well you would be right in thinking that I am here alone... I finally plucked up the courage to leave Louis with the nurse and it seems that Leo is too busy to spend some time with me." she explained looking into the bottom of her glass, before taking a long swig of the fizzing liquid. "We made up after the other night... well we tried to... I thought that I had seen Paloma for a check up, well I saw her but not in person... I think I had soon kind of halucination of her, so we tried to be together but it didn't go so well... Leo's hasn't been any where near me since." she explained in a quiet voice, before she downed the rest of her glass and poured herself some more Champagne.
Artemys remained with the thoughtful expression as she listened to Sophia speak. She felt bad for the woman to say the least. "I’m sorry to hear about all that. Hopefully things will get better in due time… Although I really must ask but… you thought you saw… a hallucination of Paloma for a check-up?" She asked a little confused and curious what she meant by that although she figured Sophia was just as clueless about it. Perhaps she had some developing ability or something. It wouldn’t be surprising to her if that was it.

Sophia raised the glass back up to her lips when Artemys asked about what she thought that she had seen. Sophia placed the glass back down on the table and looked down a little, she didn't want Art to think that she was crazy. "Well, I was feeding Louis, and then it was like there was this immense pressure on my chest, and then I was sat in front of Paloma, and she was telling me that I had the all clear, that everything was back to normal... I thought that I had been to see her, it felt so real that I believed that everything was okay, and it wasn't." she explained focusing on the bubbles that were rising up her glass. Sophia had no idea what had happened to her, maybe it was just her mind playing tricks on her.
Artemys had leaned back a bit as Sophia explained what had happened. From what she said it seemed like some sort of ability although what exactly it was she had no clue… perhaps a vision or illusion of some sort. "Hmm…. Could it be that you have started developing some ability? I wouldn’t be surprised if that was it although I’m not quite sure what it would be… I would think along the lines of illusion or a vision if maybe what you saw will happen at a later time." She said in a thoughtful manner. Of course this was all on theory. She wasn’t exactly sure if what she thought was precisely Sophia’s problem.

Sophia simply concentrated on her glass of Champagne, it would be nice to be having this conversation with Leo, but he was more busy lately, since he had become the Head Lord it was like he literally had no time for her or Louis, which upset her a little. "Or maybe I'm just going crazy... maybe its a combination of lack of sleep and no physical attention from my husband." she explained, picking up her glass, briefly pointing to Artemys before she took a sip of the Champagne. If Sophia had been feeling crap about herself before the other night, she was slowly falling into despair now. Sighing heavily, Sophia looked to Artemys through the dim light. "How would I know if I was developing an ability... I mean is it even possible?"
Artemys smiled a little hesitantly at what Sophia thought could be the reason for that ‘vision’. She once again looked thoughtful when the woman asked her how she would know if she was developing an ability. "Of course it’s possible. As for how you would know… well… I suppose if what’s happening is a frequent thing… I’m sure there’d be signs. Or once you actually become aware of it. At least that’s what I experienced with my own abilities after all." She titled her head a little in curiosity before holding her hand out on the table before Sophia. "Perhaps we’ll do a little test then?" Artemys suggested as she gestured the woman to touch her hand. Her friend, Cassie, was a clairvoyant and was able to see her visions through touch. Maybe it could be the same for Sophia.

Sophia cautiously looked down to Art's hand, she was a little unsure what she was expecting her to do with it, but when she said that they should do a little test, Sophia raised an eyebrow to the head lady, she couldn't be serious could she. Placing the glass down to the side of the table, Sophia held her hand over Artemys'. Placing her palm over the head lady's, at first nothing happened, then that pressure appeared over her chest again making her gasp a little. Her eyes turning slightly darker, Sophia witnessed a young man getting up and making his way over to their table, where he asked Artemys for a dance. Withdrawing her hand almost immediately, Sophia refocused on Artemys, a slightly confused look on her face. "That guy over there is going to ask you to dance." she explained as if it was the most normal thing in the world, picking up her glass and taking a sip.
Artemys would have been cheering on the inside when it was realized that Sophia did in fact have an ability… clairvoyance… although hearing exactly what it was that she saw made her a little flabbergasted. "What?" She asked feeling a little confused herself as she gazed in the direction of ‘that guy’. If she was still human then she would be blushing like mad right now. And then before she could say anything else, exactly what Sophia had said just happened seeing as a young man about or a little older than her had approached the table and asked for a dance. The Head Lady briefly looked over to the woman with eyes as if saying what she should do. The only reason why she was hesitating was merely because she already had a boyfriend… She felt it would be a little wrong to go dance with some other guy. However at the same time it would be a bit rude of her to the man in return. Sighing a little she then sent Sophia a little mischievous smile. "I’ll be back." She said before moving out of the booth and allowing the guy to escort her into a dance.

Sophia simply looked to Artemys, a relatively blank expression on her face. Then when the young man got up and made his way over to their table, Sophia's mouth fell open and she frowned. When Art got up from the table and let the guy lead her to the dance floor. Sophia was thoroughly confused and she just sat there frowning at the spot where the Head Lady had been sitting. Taking a deep unneeded breath, Sophia placed her head in her hands. Surely there was some kind of mistake, she couldn't just develop an ability out of the blue. Gripping at her hair a little, Sophia ran through everything in her head, what the hell was she going to do now. Sitting up a little straighter and smoothing down her hair a little, Sophia poured herself out the last of her bottle of Champagne, sighing heavily as she did so.
Artemys actually had fun dancing with the gentleman . However by the end of the dance, she had to politely decline his offer of a drink and perhaps getting to know the other a little more. There was no way she was going to do that to Lenard. Thankfully he was respectful enough to heed her refusal and soon enough the Head Lady was back with Sophia. At first she sent the woman a smile before noticing her somewhat dejected mood. The smile lessened to that of a line upon her lips. "Well now… seems like you do have an ability after all. Clairvoyance." She said in a thoughtful manner. "You do not seem to happy about it. I can understand that. ‘How in the world is this possible?’ was what I asked myself when I discovered my own abilities… It’s not necessarily a bad thing you know…sure it has its downsides but there may be a time or more where it has its uses."

Sophia looked up to Artemys when she came back to the table. Sighing a little and sitting back in her chair, Sophia really didn't know what to make of everything, since she hadn't dealt well with the telepathy that she had when she was thrust on her when she was pregnant, how was she going to deal with this. "I can't say that I am happy about it, people already think that I'm doo lally and now this... why can't one thing just happen at a time? I mean this is just ridiculous I'm not special.. I couldn't deal with Telepathy, how the hell am I meant to deal with being a Clairvoyant?" she explained leaning across the table a little so that no one around them would be able to hear what they were talking about.
Artemys frowned a little at Sophia’s words. So this must be how it looks from another’s perspective when she refers to her own self as ‘not’ special. Of course in the end even with the realization she was still going to be hypocritical about it and refuse to acknowledge herself as special... That didn’t stop her from trying to get others to do so though for themselves. "The difference between you dealing with Telepathy and now with your dealing of Clairvoyance is quite obvious…" She started out as she herself leaned forward on the table as well. "Telepathy was never yours to begin with…that’s Louis’ ability which would make sense in why you couldn’t handle it. But with this gift… it’s a different story. Sure you just found out about it now but unlike Telepathy then this new ability is yours for the keeping…whether you want it or not." The Head Lady said in a somewhat firm note. "The only thing that would stop you from dealing with being a Clairvoyant is yourself… If you keep saying to yourself that you can’t deal with it then that’s what’s going to happen." Sure she was probably not helping with her ‘brutally’ honest words but how else was she going to get through to the woman?
A sigh escaped her as she ran a hand through her hair and leaned back into her seat, a tiny smile upon her lips. "Have a little more faith in yourself. I know you can deal with it... And I hardly think you’re the only one some people think negatively of… I don’t find myself an exception… After all, am I not dating an ex-Rose Alliance member? Apparently I’m in cahoots with that wretched organization." She sighed a little as she focused her attention on her glass and started to trace her finger around the top again. "It’s annoying but I don’t let it bother me. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks... I know what's the truth and what's not..."

Sophia understood where Artemys was coming, she didn't get over the Telepathy until she started believing that she could actually keep the thoughts out of her head, and with a little help from her sister in law she just about managed it, though Louis had been born pretty much after so it had been all a little pointless. Sighing a little, Sophia scratched the back of her head a little, she knew that she had to have a little faith in herself, but things had been a little difficult at the moment. "Maybe I should try and talk with Leo about it... or maybe Leona... things have been a little off between Leo and me, though I suppose that its me making things harder than it has to be." she explained, shrugging ever so slightly. Sophia had a tendency to screw things up, she made things seem worse than what they actually were in her head. "I should get another bottle... are you sure you don't want some?" she asked looking to Artemys completely changing the subject. Raising her hand in the air, Sophia caught the attention of a waiter, taking a hold of the bottle, she waved it in the air a little, smiling as the waiter cottoned on that she wanted another bottle.
Artemys simply nodded her head to what Sophia said about perhaps going to Leo or Leona about her new ability. There was really nothing else for her to say on the matter. "Well whomever you go to it on the matter then I hope it will help. Both were quite helpful to me with my ability. Leona was the one that discovered my Perspicuity in the first place and then Leo helped me in developing it. It wasn’t easy but over time I adjusted." She said with a little smile. When Sophia asked her if she wanted some champagne from a new bottle she was ordering then she looked thoughtful for a moment. Then she simply shrugged a little before nodding her head. "I suppose I can have a taste… Don’t think that would be a crime." She chuckled a little.

Sophia smiled a little when Artemys said that there would be no harm in trying a taste. When the new bottle was brought over with an extra glass, Sophia smiled to the young waiter as she handed over a nice tip to him. At the moment, Sophia was dealing with things by splashing the cash a little, sure her bank balance could handle it, but she usually had a limit on her spending. "Well have a taste and see what you think, a lot of people don't really enjoy it first off." she explained pouring a small amount into the champagne flute for Artemys holding it out to her, before filling up her own glass and taking a large sip. "If anyone questions you just tell them you're a vampire, they won't question your age then."
Artemys took Sophia’s word for her comment on how people weren’t satisified on their first take on champagne… she after all wasn’t one for alcohol in the first place but she was still young and she supposed she needed to experience it first before having a set-in-stone opinion about it. Carefully she took the glass in hand but made no means to drink it immediately. She nodded at the woman’s suggesting before bringing the glass close to her face and the top of the flute about under her nose, she sniffed it for a second to get a feel of the drink’s scent… she didn’t really like it but then there was the taste that would determine everything. So she took a sip… her facial features were thoughtful as she smacked her lips together before letting the champagne linger her taste buds. A light grimace then formed as she looked to Sophia with a sheepish smile. "Mmm… Can’t say I’m really liking it just yet… But it is interesting I have to say." She commented before bringing the glass to her lips and taking another sip. She wasn’t going to give up on it just yet.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
