Gianna had been unusually quiet these passed few days, it had been hard at home, there was this silence between her and Brody that she wasn't used to, and it was killing her. Gianna took a seat on the edge of the fountain and looked out across the square, lost in her thoughts. After all this time together, how could something come between them, sure she knew that it was a big thing, and she could understand why Brody was apprehensive about the prospect of having child at the present moment in time, what with everything that was going on, but it wasn't like the were going to get a baby just like that, they would need to at least start trying, lord knows how long that would take before she actually got pregnant, and then it would be another 6 months before the baby was actually born. Sighing heavily, Gianna pulled her camera out of its case and raising it to her face, she started to take a couple of snaps, watching the world pass by in front of her, watching people shop. This was meant to be distracting her, but as a father and child came into her view, she lowered the camera and frowned a little. She wanted to give Brody his own children, but he said that he wasn't ready, and she just had to accept that.

"Kaylee, slow down! You’re going to make me trip." Artemys said to the young vampire girl Δ pulling her hand across the town square. Δ She didn’t exactly sound stern though as she laughed a little in amusement. They didn’t go out often after all so it was nice to see Kaylee all excited. Following after her adopted daughter it wasn’t long before they reached the fountain and as soon as Δ the girl released her hold she was now leaning over the fountain’s edge staring down at the coin-filled water as well as showing the dirty water to her doll, Minnie. Δ"Don’t touch the water sweetie." The Head Lady told the girl as she made to sit on the edge with a slight sigh. Her head shook lightly as she listened to question after question that Δ the curious child relayed to the older vampiress. Δ What she learned about Kaylee with how long she had taken her in was that she was very reserved and observant; not to mention asking her all sorts of questions about the most random things even. Right now though she was trying to get the girl to speak to others face to face rather than using her doll to ‘speak’ for her.
Sighing a little once more, she moved her gaze off the girl and briefly let it wander about the square; taking in the people coming and going now and then. Before moving it to Kaylee, she glanced over at a woman sitting on the fountain’s edge as well not too far from where she and the child were. She could sense she was a werewolf and for whatever reason it seemed like she wasn’t having a good day. A smile would have at least been offered if the woman looked her way but seeing as she wasn’t then she simply brought her attention back to Kaylee who was Δ asking her about the coins in the fountain. Gianna wasn't really paying any attention to what was now going on around her, she was staring out into space lost in her own thoughts. She couldn't understand how all of these feelings had suddenly overwhelmed her, maybe it was because she wasn't getting any younger, and she assumed that Brody would be ready now. Watching her husband with his nieces and nephews, Gianna just couldn't understand why he didn't want his own children, sighing heavily, Gianna couldn't help but let a slow tear roll down her cheek, maybe she should just push the idea of having children to the back of her head, Brody clearly wasn't going to change his mind. Shuddering at the thought of Brody never wanting children, Gianna looked around feeling the presence of a vampire to her left. Of course Gianna knew that that was the Head Lady, but she couldn't understand why she was with a child, as far as she was aware, The Head Lady didn't have any children.

Artemys couldn’t help but sigh softly to the young vampire as she dug into her pocket and held out some coins for the child to throw into the fountain. "First you have to make a wish. Think really hard about it and then when you’re ready just drop it into the water." She smiled to Kaylee as Δ the girl eagerly began to do so. Δ A chuckle escaped the Head Lady as she watched her daughter Δ scrunch her face with the coin in front of her as she ‘wished’. Δ Her hands motioned into a clapping gesture after Δ Kaylee dropped the coin in. Δ"Good job!" Although it wasn’t long before Δ the girl repeated the process except this time for her Minnie doll. Δ However for some reason she found herself gasping in shock as the coin somehow was thrown over at the woman she spotted earlier. "Oh gosh, I’m so sorry!" Artemys quickly apologized over to the woman. "Kaylee, say you’re sorry to the lady." She said to the young girl in a light stern voice as she took her hand and brought her over to the werewolf. She knew Kaylee didn’t do it on purpose but she still wanted to make sure she was taught manners. Δ The girl looked shyly to the woman as she meekly held her doll in front of her so it was Minnie that was being looked at. "Minnie says that Kaylee is sorry for throwing the coin at the nice lady."Δ

Gianna hadn't been expecting to have something thrown at her, so when a coin hit her, Gee jumped a little and looked startled to find that she was now looking directly at a doll, a confused look spreading across her face, Gianna briefly looked to the other woman, before turning her attention back to the young girl. "Its okay Minnie... here, why don't you make another wish? It needs to go in the water for it to come true." she explained taking the coin in her hand, holding it in the flat of her palm. Leaning forward a little, Gianna smiled warmly to the doll that she was faced with. She hadn't really had the chance before to meet a vampire child, but this one seemed intriguing.

Artemys bit her lower lip in hesitation as she noted the woman’s confused expression when Kaylee ‘spoke’ through her doll although she easily relaxed in seeing her play along. The Head Lady simply stood back and watched the interaction occur between the child and the other woman. A tender smile rested upon her lips as she observed Kaylee Δ peek curiously from behind her doll. A wide eye staring into the lady’s eyes to the coin in her palm then back to the lady. The girl offered the woman a shy smile back as she used her doll’s hand to pick up the coin. "Minnie says thank you to the nice lady." Kaylee said with that same timid smile before moving to lean slightly over the fountain’s edge puppeteering the doll’s actions as if it was making a wish too. The young vampiress giggled in excitement as the coin gently splashed into the murky water and clapped her hands to the doll in praise just as Artemys had done for Kaylee earlier. Δ
Another thing that the vampiress noticed was that her daughter liked to mimic whatever her mother did. She knew she had to be careful with her speech and actions around the girl. A brow raised when the girl Δ approached her asking for more coins Δ which she did of course without question although what made her more curious was when Kaylee Δ shyly moved over to the other woman again.
Minnie was once again in between the pair although it’s young owner’s face could half be seen this time. "Minnie and I think you’re very pretty, Miss nice lady. Just like mommy! We want you to make a wish too so you won’t look so sad." Kaylee brightly smiled as she held out the coin to the woman. Δ Staring in slight awe at her daughter, it really amazed Artemys how observant this girl was especially when it came to reading people so easily at this young age. Δ"You have to make a wish, think hard about it and then…. Umm…. Then… Oh! Then drip it into the water!" She said with a big smile as she tried to repeat exactly what her mommy told her when it came to wishing.Δ

Gianna let a small smile play over her lips as the young girl deposited the coin into the fountain, this certainly wasn't helping her get over her need to have a child of her own. Sighing a little, Gianna assumed that she would be left alone, but she was a little surprised when the young girl came back with her doll. Being told that she was pretty certainly made Gianna smile a little more. When she was presented with another coin, Gee raised an eyebrow a little, briefly glancing over to this girls mother, before turning her attention back to the young girl. "Thank you... you're very sweet." she explained smiling a little. Gently taking the coin out of the girls hand, and turned a little so that she could face the water a little better. Closing her eyes, Gianna smiled to the young girl, before dropping the coin into the water, watching it as it gradually sunk down to the bottom of the fountain.

While the interaction continued on between her daughter and the woman, Artemys had taken to seat herself on the fountain’s edge and let her gaze wander over the square although her attention turned to the small girl tugging on her blouse. A slightly surprised look in her eyes as she stared at a coin resting in the palm of Kaylee’s held out hand. Δ"You too mommy! Here, here!" The young vampiress exclaimed with a bright smile. Δ The Head Lady didn’t react right away but eventually she offered a soft smile. "I don’t need to make a wish honey… I already have everything that I want." Aside from the drama going on then in general she was pretty content with what she had going for her life right now…. Or at least that’s what she’d like to think. A light sigh escaped from her breath though seeing Kaylee’s eyes Δ starting to water and she looked rather insistent for her mother to take part. Δ Smiling softly and shaking her head a little, she took the coin in hand and looked thoughtful as she was about to drop the coin into the water. What could she possibly wish for? It was then a thought came across… or more so wishful thinking… Well might as well… Her mismatched eyes kept a keen stare on the coin as it drifted down into the fountain while in the mean time Kaylee Δ approached the woman once more. "What’s your name, Miss Nice Lady?" She asked tilting her head in a curious manner before bringing her gaze on a strange object that the lady was holding. "What’s that? Is there a fairy in there?" The camera looked like some kind of box to the young girl and seeing as her mommy told her a story last night about fairies then she was quick to think of the tiny magical creatures. Δ

Gianna watched as the young girl interacted with her mother, the usual pang of jealousy was starting to set in and though she was used to it, it did take Gee by surprise that she could be jealous of a Vampire, let alone the head lady. When the young vampire made her way back over to Gianna, she looked to her and smiled a little. "My names Gianna... but you can call me Gee if you want to." she explained to the girl's first question, then when she was asked if there was a fairy in her camera, Gee couldn't help but chuckle a little. "This is a camera... it takes pictures, here let me show you." she explained. Then raising the camera, Gianna took a quick snap of the young girl, then fiddling with the camera a little, Gianna turned it and showed the girl a picture of herself, a slight smile playing over her lips as she waited for the girl's reaction.

ΔKaylee’s smile brightened when the lady introduced herself. "Pleased to meet you Gee Gee. My name’s Kaylee and this is Minnie." She said as she held her doll out to the woman. It was apparent that the girl was starting to warm up to Gianna. "And that lady is my mommy. She’s the bestest!" Kaylee grinned widely as she pointed over to Artemys. Sure she wasn't her real mommy but that didn't really matter to her. Not that she could remember her own anyways.Δ The Head Lady offered a hesitant smile as she ruffled her daughter’s hair a bit.
Δ In hearing Gianna explain about the camera she looked to the woman with a fascinated gaze although she jumped somewhat curiously when the camera did something strange. Seeing the picture though made her squeal in delight. "That’s me! That’s me! Look mommy!"Δ Upon hearing the girl’s request then Artemys went to take a glance at the picture and smiled. "Well aren’t you looking very pretty." She laughed a little kissing the top of the girl’s head. Δ The little girl couldn’t get enough of it. It was just so mind blowing in her eyes. "How does it do that Miss Gee Gee? Can you do another please?!" Kaylee asked excitedly to the woman. Δ

Gianna couldn't help but smile softly when she saw Kaylee's reaction, she was just too cute. Looking up to the Head Lady, Gee nodded a little before turning her attention back to the young vampiress. Whens she was asked to take another picture, she was only to happy to oblige. "Okay... how's about you make a really silly face." she said looking curiously to Kaylee. After a little while, Gee took another shot, fiddled around with a couple of buttons before she showed Kaylee the picture. "Well you see... I push this button here... and then as if by magic, you're picture appears on the screen...she's such an adorable child." she explained, saying the last part to the Head Lady, smiling warmly.

Artemys was just quietly observing as Kaylee seemed to be having a nice time with Gianna. She chuckled softly as the girl Δ put on a ridiculous face. Her hands were pressing into her puffed cheeks to make her facial expression rival that of a fish face and when Gianna explained how the picture was taken Kaylee’s eyes were widened with curiosity. Her eyes kept itself mesmerized on the camera Δ as Artemys smiled to the werewolf. "And a bit too curious." She laughed a little before smilingly warmly to the young girl. Δ"Miss Gee Gee? Can I have a picture with my mommy please? Oh oh! Then I want one with you too! Please please pleeeeease?" She pouted Δ with the Head Lady sighing slightly. "You don’t mind do you?" She asked with a small smile not really satisfied with Kaylee’s begging but she was a child after all so it wasn’t her fault really.

Looking up to the Head Lady, Gianna nodded when she said that the young girl was a little too curious, of course that was no bad thing, as long as she knew not to talk to too many strangers. When Kaylee asked if she could have a picture with her mother, Gianna smiled down to the young girl and nodded. "Of course you can... I don't know why you want a picture with me... but sure, why don't you too move over by the fountain, then when I get home I'll print the pictures off and mail then to you." she explained putting her bag down by her feet and stood up, turning so that she was facing mother and daughter.

Artemys smiled gratefully to Gianna although she sighed a bit turning her attention to the ever so inquisitive Kaylee. "Mail is a way of sending things to another person that’s far away and printing is a way of putting something like pictures on a thin surface like paper so you can see it better." She highly doubted that the girl would understand that but how else was she to explain? "It’s like with your drawings. You are coloring what you see or think from your head and onto the paper. But that’s enough for the questions Sweetie. Otherwise there won’t be anymore for you to ask." She laughed slightly as she stroked the girl’s hair a bit before settling onto Kaylee onto her lap. "Now stay still so that Gianna can take the picture." She said as she placed her chin gently atop the little vampiress’ and looking to the werewolf with a nod that they were ready. Sure Gianna said she didn’t mind but she hoped that they weren’t taking up her time or anything.

Gianna couldn't help but smile at Kaylee's question, she was sure curious about a lot of things, and Gee couldn't help but wonder how it came to be that the Head Lady had become a mother. Watching the two of them interacting, and she soon felt that familiar pang of jealousy that she had become accustomed too. Frowning a little, Gianna tried to focus on her camera, trying her hardest to push the want for her own child out of her head. When Artemys nodded to say that they were ready, Gianna cleared her throat a little and lifted the camera instantly taking a couple of shots. When she had taken three or four, Gianna lowered the camera and pushed a couple of buttons. Turning the camera around, Gee showed the two of them the pictures. "I can have them sent to you by the end of tomorrow." she explained looking to Artemys, with a slight smile that hid the anguish that she was going through.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
