It was the first week in Breanna's summer holiday from the pre-school where she was working, so she loved the fact she could sleep in, and of course being her birthday it was a rule that she had to sleep in, but with the constant noise from the birds from the open window made it impossible, not to mention the sun light didn't help much either. So around nine in the morning she stretched and let out a loud yawn as she slowly opened her eyes. She lied on her stomach, hugging her pillow and looked towards the slightly open window. Summer had really hit Carpe Noctum and she had a feeling that it would be another hot day. Letting out a slight sigh she turned on to her back and reached for her cell phone on the night stand and sent a birthday greeting to her brother. They had exchanged gifts the day before when they had a little secret birthday party accompanied by Celia of course.
After she had sent the text and gotten one back in return she sat up in bed and looked towards the door with a thoughtful expression on her face. She wondered if Patrick had remembered what he promised. Her birthday wish was to have Dayton act like his old self, the caring, loving Patrick. No annoying remarks. She wasn't quite sure how she would feel if she opened that door and he still was like Dayton. Letting out a slight sigh she pulled the covers aside and stepped out on the floor and padded over to the door and opened it a little and peaked out. She could hear someone downstairs in the kitchen, opening the door a little bit more she stepped out in the small hallway and looked towards the stairs, then to the slight open door to Dayton's room. She peaked in, but he wasn't there.
Breanna headed downstairs, quiet as a mouse, but when she reached the kitchen she came to a halt and stared at the scene that played out before her with wide eyes and open mouth. "Don't tell me you can cook?" she said and looked at quite the breakfast table with pancakes, toast and other goodies. This was not exactly what she had expected to wake up to.

Dayton couldn't believe Breanna's birthday request. Sure he said that he would give her one wish, but really? He had to be 'Patrick' for one whole day. Gosh, this was going to be super hard for him. But he made a promise and he was going to have to stick with it. So on the morning of her birthday, he had gotten himself awake a bit earlier than normal and decided to make some breakfast. If he's gonna do this, might as well do this right. Once everything was cooked and set up, he turned his head to see Breanna standing there with a shocked look on her face. He couldn't help but smile. "Well, one of my foster mothers was a housewife, so she actually taught me a few things." He pulled back one of the chairs, and waved his hands toward the table. "Breakfast is served, birthday girl."

Breanna really couldn't believe her own eyes, but as Dayton even pulled out a chair for her, she moved over to him and looked at him still with surprise plastered on her face before she sat down. "Still, you could have said something. Especially with my cooking," she said. Now bake she could, but actually cooking was not something she was great at. She put some pancakes over on her plate and poured some syrup over them before she started to dig in. Letting out a slight moan when she tasted the pancakes. "My god, these are the best pancakes I've ever tasted," she said. Pointing her knife at him she looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "You are so cooking from now on," she said before a smile swept over her lips before she continued eating. Well so far her birthday had set off promising, she just hoped the rest of the day would be just as great.

Dayton laughed as Breanna complemented on his cooking before beginning to fix his own plate. "Well, you never asked, and I didn't want to offend you by offering to cook in your stead. I know how some girls can get." Sure the guy lived on the streets in the later half of his life, but when he lived in the foster homes, a lot of the times, he had to cook and feed for himself. Not to mention, he remembers a few times when he and Breanna stayed with Paula, he used to help her with cooking. "Don't tell anybody," he said, before taking a bite of his food, "but before I got all macho tough guy and working for Aya, I used to have this dream about cooking. Well, a dream when I was a kid, at least." Dayton realized how much opening he was already doing, and could already feel the need to close himself up again. But he made a promise, so he battled himself to keep open and warm to Brea.

Breanna looked up from her food and over at Dayton. Tilting her head a little. "You know, it's never too late you change career path," she said and sent him a smile. Of course she wouldn't dictate what Dayton should do with his life, but if he wanted to be a cook then no one stopped him. After all she had ended up as a pre-school teacher, sure it was a cover up, but Brea actually loved kids and thought it was fun to teach them music. Singing with them. "Sure I'm not great in a kitchen, but I do know when food is good and I say you have an actual shot at being an amazing cook, if that's what you want," she said and placed another pancake on her plate.

Dayton rolled eyes eyes, but didn't say anything. He wasn't too sure if he wanted to go back to pursuing that idea or dream, whatever people want to call it, but he was glad that Breanna like his cooking nonetheless. As he finally began to get full, Dayton stood up to take care of the his and Brea's dishes, while saying, "Alright, birthday girl, what's first on the list for today? I, Day- Patrick, am here to assist you in any way to make sure your birthday is one of the best you have had yet." He gave her one of his rare smiles, something he only seems to do around Breanna, before giving a small bow.

After she had finished, she turned in her seat, resting her arm on the back of her chair and let out a slight chuckle as he bowed. "Well first I have to get dressed, but then there is one thing I've always wanted to learn," she said and bit her lower lip a little as she looked hopeful at Dayton. "I've always wanted to learn how to drive a motorcycle," she said. Sure she could have asked her brother for the last four years, but now that Dayton was there, for some reason she would rather have him teach her, not really sure why. "Could you teach me? I promise to be careful," she said and looked hopeful at him. She just thought it could be cool to learn, so why not.

There was a clang of dishes as Breanna asked for a request. He teaches her how to ride a motorcycle... On his bike... His baby... Oh the woman was mad. But... He made a promise with her. Gah, this day was going to be a hard one, and it's barely even started. "Are you sure you want to learn?" he asked, maybe seeing if she'll change her mind. "Bikes can be a bit difficult to handle. Especially my temperamental one." But he saw the look in her eyes, the wanting to learn, and he let out a sigh. "Alright, I guess I can teach ya." He paused for a second, then added, "But please, don't break my baby... She's been with me for so long."

Breanna practically jumped up and had flung her arms around his neck in no time as she gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you so much," she said and gave him a bright smile and another kiss on the cheek. "And don't worry, I will be careful," she said before she headed out of the kitchen and upstairs so she could get dressed.
Barely ten minutes later she stood back downstairs, rushing on Dayton and eager to get out and learn how the machine worked. She wasn't sure what it was, but she had always been fascinated by motorcycles, not to mention she seemed to be more interested in guys with a motorcycle than a guy with a car. There was something macho about it, something raw in a way.

Dayton watched Breanna run upstairs to get ready, but he couldn't help but whimper. Ah, the curses to offering whatever someone wants for their birthday... But hey, it's what Patrick would have done, right? Although, it's kinda weird talking about himself like he's two different people. Once Breanna came back downstairs, he gave her a smile, trying to seem like he was excited for this. He handed her his leather jacket and said, "You're going to need to wear this, cause even though you say you'll be careful, I know what happens during bike lessons. And road rashes suck."

Breanna stared at him in slight awe when he handed her his leather jacket. She suddenly felt like she was back in high school, where she had the hugest crush on a guy and when he one day offered her his jacket because she was cold, she thought it was love. And they had actually ended dating. So now having Dayton doing the same thing, she couldn't help but giggle a little as she took it and put it on. Even though it was too big, then she felt awfully safe in it. Not to mention it smelled of him, which made her slightly dizzy. Clearing her throat a little, she tried to pull herself together. She didn't have feelings for Dayton. "Now come on," she said and grabbed his hand and dragged him outside. Sure she might be acting way younger than she was, but the fact that she could learn how to ride a bike, had always been one of her top ten things to do.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
