So this was Carpe Noctum? Please...who on earth would want to live in this dingy old place... Apparently a lot of people but still…Morgan was in disbelief… She arrived a few days ago and in taking in the surroundings she saw nothing special about it…so why did Alice tell her to keep an eye on things around here for that organization she was a part of which automatically made the Morha witch herself a member as well…the Rose Alliance. Well at least she had something to do so… Sure she was also a part of the Dark Circle but she felt things were more interesting ever since she started working for her vampire employer and she never would have found her if not for her ex-boyfriend… Aidan Aurion… Probably the only thing she looked forward to this little task was the fact that he was in town as well. Even though they haven’t spoken much since they ‘broke up’ then she still worked for his mother which gave her opportunities to see him again.
At the moment, she was simply meandering for the time being. She took to the bar hoping for some ‘fun’ to pass her way. She didn’t have such a great relationship with her mother but even so then she was still her daughter and you could say going after men was a common trait or in Morgan’s way then they were the ones to come to her. The witch had taken a seat at the bar counter and was waiting on her order of a beer. Her eyes wandered about casually around the area, searching for some poor sap to prey on. What she didn't know was that sooner or later she was going to be reunited with a certain someone….

Maeve found herself to the bar of the city, feeling the need to be properly 'welcomed' by its citizens. More like, it's male citizens. Sure she was there on important matters, but that doesn't mean she couldn't have her own fun. Not like John was around anyways. Maeve sat in one of the corner booths, already having her drink made. If one knows their alcohol, it's Maeve. When one of the waiters came by to give her her drink, she already began to put her 'spell' on him. It wasn't long before she began to hum to him, her voice pulling him into her control. "Aren't you just a pretty boy..." she whispered, when he sat down nest to her.

Morgan’s gaze was brought back to the bar when her beer had arrived but before the liquid could reach her lips then she froze in position as that familiar voice immediately caught her attention. "Oh fucking hell… if that’s ‘her’ I’m gonna shoot myself." The witch sarcastically thought to herself but there was no doubt that it was in fact ‘her’….. mother dearest. Carefully setting the bottle down on the counter, she peered from the corner of her eyes in the direction of the humming and lo and behold there she was…the woman who she came out of…. Literally… A harsh groan escaped her wondering just what the hell Maeve was doing that…. Morgan was accustomed to calling her mother by her first name more so because it was some sort of a rule out in a public… but that didn’t stop her from calling her ‘mother’ just to piss her off. Even though she knew she was there then she made no means to head over to where her mom was…. Not yet at least… Besides it seemed ‘mommy’ was busy at the moment.

It wasn't long before Maeve had the man all over her. Of course, the witch was one of appearances, so she pushed him away and told him to wait until later. He walked away with a dazed look, obviously still under her hypnosis. As he walked off, she followed his trail until something - well, more like someone - caught her attention. What the hell is her daughter doing here?? Maeve knew she had no reason to be up here Dark Circle wise, because she's here for that. And Morganna is the last person to go somewhere for 'sightseeing'. So obviously, her daughter had something up her sleeve, and Maeve wanted to know what.
Getting up quietly, even softening her steps so her heels wouldn't click very loudly, she walked over to the unsuspecting witch and said, "I hate it when you dye your hair that color..." They were both Irish with vibrant red hair, she didn't understand why Morganna would want to change that.

Maeve glared at her daughter. "And you better put that fire out, before I decide to do it myself..." she warned. Morganna may be young, but she is still her daughter nonetheless, and Maeve constantly stresses for her to give the respect she deserves. Sometimes Maeve thinks that the Energies cursed her with a daughter that was pyrokinetic. Cause where as she was cold and collective, her daughter tends to get wild and brash.
"As for why I am here," she said, sitting up on the bar next to her, "is for business reasons, and entirely none of your business." Even though Morganna was a Dark Circle member herself, Maeve never lets her in on her missions given by John. In her opinion, if the witch was anything like her, she'd quickly turn around and turn sides for whatever is her own benefit. "But I want to know why you're here. I know you Morganna. Maine is the last place you would ever put yourself, and you don't have any 'business' here either."

Morgan simply smiled at her mother although the force behind it was obvious. "’Entirely none of your ‘business’…..mommy" She said in a hushed voice to her mother with a smug look before averting her focus over to the bartender and ordering a coke. "And how would you know my reasons for being here? I could just be traveling around…seeing the world for all you care. Maeve glared at her daughter coldly when Morganna called her 'mommy'. Maeve has taught Morganna growing up to call her by her name when in public. Not many people want to deal with someone who has an adult child. And Maeve doesn't do the cougar look. When her daughter began to go off about just travelling and something about lobsters, Maeve rolled her eyes. If there was a time to call bullshit, it was now. Morganna can always just order lobster from Maine if she so desired. But, two can play at this game, as Maeve has a few cards of her own up her sleeve.
"Well, seeing the world isn't so bad," she said, turning back to face the front. "At least you're not doing something stupid like stalking that boy." Before Morganna could say anything, Maeve called her bartender over and ordered another drink. Maeve knew her daughter didn't take well to the break up a few years ago, and keeps denying it ever happened. Another difference between Morganna and herself. She looked through her peripherals to watch Morganna reaction, a small smirk at the corner of her lips.

If there was one thing her mother or just about anyone could piss her off about then it was when ‘personal affairs’ were brought up especially when they were centered around a certain ‘boy.’ Try as she might not to then she would get defensive about it. She still had it in her mind that things were simply put on a time out for now. Morgan sent a cold glare towards her mother… a contradiction to her fiery personality but then she chuckled and went to lean against the counter to sip on her drink. There was truth in Maeve’s words… well at least for right now…she hadn’t made any means to try and reach Aidan nor ‘stalk’ him either. That didn’t mean she wouldn’t do so later. "I suppose you’re right with that…" She briefly gave her mother a cool look before returning to her drink. "So how goes things? It’s been… what… a month?" The blonde woman said without looking at her mother…hopefully trying to deter from the previous subject although they really didn’t even talk much of it.

Maeve couldn't help but silently chuckle when she saw the cold glare coming from Morganna. She knew she struck a chord, and Morganna trying to switch the topic proved it even more. At least she wasn't a child still, otherwise, Maeve would have to deal with a tantrum. "Give or take a week," she replied to Morganna's question. She took her drink from the bartender and curled her fingers, motioning him to come close, she stole a kiss from him, then shooed him away before taking a sip of her drink and facing Morganna. "My life's been the same. Men, some dark magick, then more men. You know, a casual Tuesday." Maeve never bothered to complicate her life. There was only two things she needed to worry about, and that was getting back at the world, and getting every man she sees.

Maeve shrugged her shoulders. "You know, I don't know how long I'll be here," she replied. And it was mostly true. No one was very definite on her time here in Carpe Noctum. Not that she asked or complained. A new town means new fun and trouble for her. "But the place slowly starting to grow on me. Maybe I'll even just leave New York for good and permanently keep myself here. After all, the town looks like it can use some beautiful faces around here." The response was nothing new to anyone who knew Maeve, she was a pretty vain person. Besides, she wasn't going to be spilling her plans anytime soon.

“Then that’s one thing we have in common.” Morgan said in reply to her mother when she told her how long she was staying. "Not sure how long I’ll be staying but it’s certainly not going to be long." Unless Alice specifically told her to do so but otherwise then she really had no reason to stick around much after she’s gotten acquainted with the town…. With the exception of Aidan of course. She heard Maeve say something about the town growing on her and to that she scoffed. "I’d rather much prefer New York to be honest. Still can’t see why anyone would want to live here." And she probably never would aside from the fact of the people that lived in town, many whom were quite important as her boss told her.

Rest of the time, she gets severe migraines and lethargy if persisting. SECOND ABILITY: Glamouring SECOND ABILITY WEAKNESS: Vision becomes blurry, and slowly evolving a slight personality disorder, unsure of who she is. Now there is the daughter she knew. She was expecting that response, otherwise she'd really worry what Morganna was up to. But Maeve couldn't help but laugh at her last comment. "Why honey, for the lobster, of course..." she said, sneering from her mocking comment that Morganna said to her earlier. But it's very apparent Morganna is up to something in Carpe Noctum. What it is, she has no idea, but unless John is keeping secrets from her, it's not Dark Circle related. Best to keep her daughter on close ropes. Just in case...
Maeve then turned her seat around and viewed the bar guests. "So, have you picked your first victim of this 'dreadful' town?" she asked. Morganna can deny it all she wants, but when it comes to men, she's too much like her mother.

Morgan ignored her mother with the lobster comment and kept sipping her drink. "Can’t say I have yet." She said in response without glancing towards Maeve. "You know how picky I am with my prey." She sent her mother a brief smile before averting her eyes away again, taking the time to look the other way and scan the bar area for potential ‘vctims’. The witch would have probably found one if her mother hadn’t shown up but then again she wasn’t much for man-hunting for the past few years ever since Aidan… She wouldn’t admit that though.

When you see a poll of some sort, then try and take the time to read what it's about and who's allowed to vote. This means in particularly the homecoming polls. They are ONLY for High School characters. So if your character isn't a high school student then DO NOT VOTE!!!! Thank you.
Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

If you haven't voted for the monthly polls yet then you can still do it. Remember that you can use as many of your characters you want to vote with as long you don't vote for one of your own characters. You can find them here. The polls will close June 1. Furthermore we have two homecoming polls. So let your high school characters vote for who should be homecoming king and queen. The polls closes 9 June, you can find them in the event board.
