Hex had been told by Jules that talking walks was a good thing, and would be good for the babies. She hadn't told Jack exactly where she was going, because she didn't want him to worry, but she planned to head over to the park where she had last ran into Brea. She didn't think she would run into her again, but if she did, she knew she wouldn't be able to stop herself from going for the woman. The curve of her belly had become a little more pronounced now, so much so that she couldn't hide it now. Julia had mentioned she would grow bigger with two than she had with either Toby or Jewel. Wandering through the park, she saw a couple with a dog, a few runners, and an elderly couple on a slow stroll. The morning sickness had thankfully given her a break today, but she was stil feeling just as tired, exhausted, physically drained.

Malou was out on her daily run, she loved to run through the South Central park. Of course she had to pick her moments right or it would be impossible to steer clear of women with strollers, kids on their way home from school that sort of thing. She had her earpieces plugged into her ears as the music played, giving her a good beat for the run. She hadn't seen her cousins for a while, mainly because she had only recently returned back to the states after she had been a couple of months to India to visit some of her mother's family. She came to a halt near a water post and moved over to it and leaned over it as she let the water run. The cool water did wonders as she had forgotten her bottle of water.

Despite telling herself that she wouldn't be here, that she of course would be keeping her head down with good reason, still she couldn't shift the faint hope that she would spot her. Of course, what could she do if she did spot Brea? She couldn't exactly turn, nor could she attack her in broad daylight in the park. As she looked at everyone discreetly but closely, she spotted a figure drinking at one of the taps. Hex couldn't help but smile broadly at the sight. Walking up behind her, Hex barely hid the chuckle from her voice. "Don't you know that when you are looking all slender and gorgeous, it makes the rest of us look terrible?"

Malou practically shot up in a vertical position when she heard a voice behind her, even though it sounded familiar. Turning around, she had her hand over her heart, but seeing who it was, she lit up in a bright smile. "Fayth!" she said in a cheerful voice and gave her cousin's wife a big hug, but pulled back pretty quickly, mainly because she was a bit sweaty. She looked the woman up and down and her smile only grew when her eyes lingered at Hex' stomach area. "You know I would give anything to look like that," she said and patted her own flat stomach. What could she say, she was starting to get a bit broody. "Jack told me the good news. Congratulations," she said and practically dragged Hex over to the nearest bench so they could talk.

Hex laughed a little at Malou's reaction as she spun around, but she was quick to embrace her tightly, not minding one little bit that she was sweaty from her run. However, as Malou looked down at her belly, Hex blushed a little and let her hand brush over the soft curve of her abdomen before being dragged over to a nearby bench. Lowering herself onto it, she looked over Jack's cousin with a soft shrug as she was congratulated. "Thanks. Well, it's certainly news, but whether it's good or not remains to be seen." Hex smiled but it faultered a little. "And I know that makes me sound ungrateful... I just can't help but worry that this is not the greatest time to be popping out a couple of easy targets for Aya." She smiled though at the thought of Jack calling his family to tell him he was to become a father again. She was still a little hung up on the thought that Jack wasn't keen on the pregnancy, especially with it being twins. "He told you there's two of them this time, right?"

Malou nodded when Hex asked if Jack had mentioned it was twins. "Yep, quite the handful you'll have then. Especially if Toby and Jewel are anything to compare it to," she said with a chuckle. Toby was a dashing young man now and Jewel, well Malou had a tendency to always come with a doll for the little girl when ever she visited. Malou had a weak spot for girls. "Look as I told Jack over the phone, you should be glad, not everyone are fortunate with children. I would love to have a couple of my own, but so far I haven't found a man who's interested in starting a family," she said with a slight sigh. Some might wonder why a girl like her couldn't find a guy, well she could, but they just wasn't interested in the same as she, which pretty much made her kicked them out of her life pretty quickly. "Besides being a part of the Moonlight family isn't always easy, the amount of marriage offers I got from the Moon tribe when I still lived in Alaska, as if I want to marry into that tribe. My dad and uncle managed to get out of it and I have no plans on getting back into it," she said with a slight nod.

Hex let out a slight chuckle when Malou said that twins would be handful judging by Toby and Jewel, and nodded firmly. She was certainly right. She let her head bow a little as the worry crept in a little more, but glanced to Jack's cousin as she mentioned speaking to Jack on the phone. She knew she sounded ungrateful and especially since telling Gianna the news and seeing her reaction due to the fact she wanted it for herself, she felt bad about feeling so stressed and fearful about it all. She smiled a little when Malou mentioned she had been proposed to many times by the Moon tribe. "Malou, believe me, it will happen for you. How can it NOT when you look like that!" Her eyes drifted over the woman who still looked good despite having just been out for a run. "Besides, if you ever want any practice, you know you're welcome anytime to partake in babysitting duties... Toby doesn't need looking after much anymore, but Jewel is still too young to be left alone. Anytime you wanna take her, feel free." She chuckled a little. Jewel was always so full of energy and keen to go places but lately, with the sickness and tiredness, Hex hadn't been able to do much with her daughter, and Jack still had too much on his plate to get much free time. "Malou, can I ask you something? When you spoke to Jack on the phone about the pregnancy, how did he sound? I mean... I assume he didn't exactly sound thrilled at the prospect of two new arrivals in the near future..." She knew Jack was worried about how they would cope, but she needed to know that he was at least growing a little happier with the idea of more pups. After all, these would be their last.

"He's worried, but not about the fact that you are pregnant again or that you're having twins, it's more the whole Aya thing," she said, taking Hex' hand between hers she gave it a slight squeeze. "He is happy about expanding the family, it's more the whole thing around it. If you're worrying about his feelings about it, then you shouldn't. He just tend to get all the negative to overshadow the good," she said, giving Hex another smile.

Hex couldn't help but chuckle when Malou said she didn't mind taking Jewel for a few hours. "A few hours? I was thinking more like days... Or weeks..." She laughed a little - she was joking of course, not for Malou's sake but for her own. She hadn't spent more than a night or two away from her children since they had been born, and even that had been torture. Hex wasn't sure if she would be able to cope being away from Jewel for a few days, let alone a week. She knew it had to happen sometime, but she wasn't ready for that yet. Jewel still came into her parents bed every now and again, claiming she had had a bad dream. Hex knew her daughter used ot have them when she was younger, so was sure that she was simply saying it just to get to sleep with her and Jack. Hex didn't mind at all. In fact, she liked having the youngster in there with them, all snuggled up. However, when Malou spoke of Jack, about his worries about Aya, Hex nodded, and took comfort in that hand squeeze. It was a relief to hear that at least Jack wasn't angry about the unplanned pregnancy, and wasn't simply tolerating it for her sake. Hearing he was happy about expanding the family gave her a sense of relief, and her body seemed to relax a little. "Well, I guess that's something. I thought that he might begrudge it all, you know? Have to deal with it beause it was happening. All I see in him lately is the fear and the worry and the stress. But I guess, like you said, it's more about the Aya thing than about the actual pregnany." She smiled, a little more convinced. So far, she had managed to practically make Gianna cry with the news, and she hadn't even told Selena, Alex or Brody yet. But at least knowing that Jack was alright with it, in theory, made the idea of telling the others a little easier. "I haven't told my brothers yet. Weirdly, I'm kinda scared about what they'll say, that they'll react like Jack did and say the timing is awful..."

Wih each word, the tension and worry seemed to fade from Hex. Not the worry about Aya, about her plans for her children, for the bloodline, but the fears she had about Jack, about how he felt towards the pregnancy. Her smile slowly grew and she nodded quickly. Malou was right, Jack did have a habit of taking the weight of the world onto his shoulders. She wanted to do something for him, help him to relax or something. Perhaps a massage. "You're right. I mean, I'm nervous about there being two of them in there so I guess Jack will be, too." Hex smiled and rubbed the soft curve she was already carrying. She was already bigger than she had been at this point than she had been with Toby or Jewel. "So seeing as how you're family, and in town, I should also tell you about the other thing we've got going on, unless Jack has already mentioned it... We're renewing our vows." She thought Jack might have already filled Malou in. "I've already asked Brody's wife... One more down, and when she got back to the mansion, she made a resolve to tell Brody, Alex and Selena, get it all done, so that she could actually start organizing things. When she heard the news about Chatter, Hex's eyes went wide in disbelief. "No way, Chatter is getting married??!" She laughed happily. "That is amazing news, I'm so happy for him. He deserves some happiness." She nodded when Malou mentioned his future wife having a soft spot for him. It was hard not to have a soft spot for Tobias. After all, her and Jack had named their firstborn child after him. "When I get back home, I'll give him and Mamsy a call, congratulate him properly. In fact, I might even suggest a trip upto Alaska sometime soon, before they stop me from flying, maybe a few days away." A nice family trip away. But then she remembered the tension that lingered between Jack and Toby. "Well, a family trip away would be great if it wasn't for the father-son drama going on at home."

Hex had never thought about that before, about having someone else talk to Toby, someone from the Tribe, who knew Jack's past and could shed a little more light onto things for the boy. She nodded briefly to Malou, offering her a warm smile. "Actually, thats a great idea, Malou. If you wouldn't mind having a word with him... As soon as I try and talk to him about it, he shuts himself up, he goes on the defensive. And whenever I try and defend Jack to him, he puts up this huge wall, this barrier and ignores it all." Poor Malou, she had only come out for a run, now she was being bombarded with offers to help her fractured family. "You can come around to the mansion, for the weekend or something, we'll make it a family thing. Have a nice big dinner, watch some movies, maybe go out someplace with the kids, you'll be our guest... I'm sure Jack would love to have you around. I know he misses things up in Alaska, especially Chatter and Mamsy." She hoped Malou would agree - besides, she had said she enjoyed spending time with the kids.
