On the way back to her room after yet another long run, Artemys had bumped into Lenard who had asked her out on a date. Of course she was quick to agree finding that she barely spent any time with her boyfriend let alone going out with him at all. Not to mention this would hopefully get her mind off all the stress that was piling up. So rushing off to her room, she took a quick a shower and in no time was out and getting herself readied up. Once she was done dressing up, fixing up her hair and putting on whatever little make up she needed then now she was accessorizing herself up on jewelry. She would slip on her shoes afterwards.

At the moment she was standing in front of a vanity mirror and trying to clasp a necklace around her neck although it was taking a bit longer than needed. The door was slightly opened as she was already decent anyways and so that Lenard could let himself in without having to knock. It was at the least convenient they were living in the same household and he didn't have to pick her up elsewhere or anything. Although she wasn't so sure if this would last long.

It was being debated in her mind whether or not to move out perhaps over to the manor and then take Celia with her if she so wanted to... She didn't find it really necessary to be living here anymore what with her being better and not depressed.... But who knows? Maybe some reason for staying would expose itself to her soon.

After Lenard had changed he headed towards Artemys' room and went straight in when he saw it was slightly opened. A smile spread on his face when he saw Artemys stand in front of the mirror. "Wa wa woom," he said and moved up behind her and helped her with her necklace before he snaked his arms around her waist as he kissed her neck. Taking in the view of her in the mirror. "Hmmm, maybe we should change the plans and stay in instead," he said and smiled mischievously before he started to place light kisses on her neck. What could he say, he was a guy who was very much into his girlfriend, preferably in bed with him if it was.

He had something different in mind. He wasn't the dinner and a movie kind of guy, so he thought about introducing Artemys to the noble art of gabling, more precisely they would be heading to the casino. He had made sure he had cash and his lucky charm and then of course the woman on his arm or right now in his arms.

Artemys smiled back with a chuckle in taking in Lenard’s entrance into her room. She allowed him to help her with the necklace and then as he wrapped his arms around her waist and started planting kisses on her neck, she softly moaned obviously liking the gestures. It was a rather tempting offer she had to say. "Hmm…" She mimicked with a sly smile as she made to grab his hands and place them right on the outsides of her thighs where the bottom of the dress ended. "I think we should stick with the plan but…" She trailed off moving his hands upwards so that her dress was rising up all the while keeping a mischievous stare on him through the mirror. "I wouldn’t mind a quickie if you’d like." Artemys suggested with a smirk and light shrug as she then went to move their hands back down after revealing the fact that she wasn’t wearing any panties underneath. Of course even if he for some reason declined then she was already ready to ‘do it’ whenever. In the end she was in no rush at all with whatever they decided to do. Anything was fine with her as long as she was occupied.

Lenard smirked darkly and it became very clear to him what Artemys was doing right in that moment. The next thing he had her turned around and forced her up against the nearest wall. "Well what I had planned doesn't go anywhere just yet, so I think we have some time to spare," he said in a low voice as he moved his hands up the side of her thighs, pushing the dress up, his face so close to hers. The next thing he had lifted her up and caught her lips in a heated kiss as he worked on his pants, of course completely oblivion to the fact that the door out to the hallway was wide open. Letting out a moan shortly after his pants fell to the floor, he moved his lips to her neck.

Artemys gasped in surprise when Lenard had suddenly forced her up against the wall although she was quick to compose herself as she kept a hot stare into his eyes when he spoke. Her body shivered slightly with anticipation as she felt his hands at her thighs brushing up the dress. As she was lifted then immediately her legs wrapped tightly around his waist and her hands at the back of his neck pushing him closer towards her more so than they already were. She moaned deeply into their kiss and while he moved his attention to her neck then she craned her chin upwards to give him better access all the while letting out gasps.

Barely she noticed the door still wide open although when she did then she simply used her ability to shut the door. Sure it seemed rather sexy to be caught but not so much when it was one of the kids in the household or worse if it was Celia. She certainly didn’t want the poor girl scarred regardless the fact she was older than her.

Afterwards then she was immersing herself in Lenard’s kisses on her neck, eyes already beginning to glower a scarlet shade and very much loving the feeling of him being so close. Then without warning or thought, as soon as her fangs were revealed she bit down into her boyfriend’s neck and drank in some of his delicious blood, immediately feeling a drunk effect as it hit her taste buds.

When Lenard felt Artemys' fangs in his neck it only made him pick up the pace a bit, catching her lips in another heated kiss. And when he finally let out the last moan, he rested his forehead against her shoulder. If he had been human he would have been slightly out of breath and his heart pounding, but the feelings that ran through him were still the same. The tingling sensation in his stomach, when his fingertips moved over her skin were extra sensitive.

When he finally moved he caught her lips in another kiss before he looked into her eyes. "I have a feeling you'll be my lucky charm tonight," he said with a smirk. Before he moved back so Artemys could get back on solid ground and he could sort out his clothes.

Artemys’ body was reacting wildly as Lenard moved against her. Fingers were digging deep into his back all the while she returned the kiss with much intensity as moans loadly escaped from her lips. When they were finished then she felt like she had to take a breather although it really wasn’t necessary at all. Another amazing session as always… Eagerly she took in his husky scent while they kept in the same position with his head on her shoulder although it wasn’t long before he captured her lips once more into another kiss. Scarlet eyes bore into his as he looked her in the eye and she couldn’t help but return his smirk with one of her own. "Hm… We’ll see…." She said as she was being let back down to stand on the floor although she had to lean her weight briefly onto the wall as she was feeling a little woozy.

After feeling a bit composed then she made to fix her dress and smooth it out before turning her attention to Lenard. She approached him to help with the sorting of his clothes by fixing up his shirt and suit a bit to smooth out the wrinkles while he sorted out his pants. Noticing there being some blood remaining from her bite wound on his neck then without hesitation she pulled him down closer towards her and made to lap up whatever blood was left. Artemys then looked him mischievously in the eyes and pulled Lenard in for a quick yet deep kiss. "Mmm… anyone ever tell you how intoxicating your blood is?" She smirked licking her lips as she pulled away from him and slowly ran her hands down his chest never taking her shimmering scarlet eyes away from him. "You’re welcome to take a bite out of me, if you wish." She smiled suggestively before pushing away from him to go into the bathroom. Her hips swayed in a rather seductive manner and she couldn’t help but peer partially over her shoulder to see if he was watching but in the end she was now standing before bathroom mirror and counter so that she could reapply her make up as well as fix up her hair.

Lenard couldn't help but chuckle and when Artemys moved to the bathroom, he followed, leaning up against the door frame as he checked her out from behind. "Why do you think it's so passionate between two vampires? Especially if they taste each other's blood," he said moving up behind her, moving her hair so he could see her neck, slowly moving a finger over the soft skin. He turned his gaze back to the mirror with a slight smirk. "You know, how much I want to taste your blood, then I think I better stay level headed....especially if I'm going to win anything tonight," he said and kissed her neck, brushing his hands over her shoulders before he turned around and left the bathroom.

Artemys tried to keep her attention focused on her reflection as she fixed herself up but it was rather hard to concentrate with Lenard behind her and she really couldn’t help looking over to him now and then with a playful smile curving her lips. "Suit yourself. Offer still stands if so…" She shrugged lightly as she brought her stare back on the mirror when he left the bathroom. If she felt high by drinking his blood then who knows how hers would affect him. On another note then she was actually really eager for this date. Not only that but she was hoping he would teach her a bit. Maybe she had some hidden lucky streak skill in her blood or something.

After making the finishing touches then she sauntered out of the bathroom flickering the lights off before gathering any essentials she needed and placing them in her purse. Especially her ID as she still looked to be 18 despite being 24 already. Dropping the bag on the bed as well as her trenchcoat then she sat at the foot of the bed and began to slip on her shoes. "Better take advantage while I’m still around by the way. Sophia and I are going down to the farmhouse for a couple days. We have reservations booked a few days from now." She said glancing over to Lenard with smile before it shifted to a light pout. "You gonna miss me?" Artemys asked just as she finished putting on her shoes. Of course in the end, this little break was what she really needed away from all the drama. Even though it didn’t seem like it now then most of her days was filled with piles of stress and she wasn’t sure how much of it she could take any longer.

Lenard leaned up against the nearest wall with his arms crossed over his chest as he watched his girlfriend, a slight mischievous expression on his face. "The night is still young and I plan on taking full advantage of it," he said and winked at her. Pushing himself from the wall he moved over to the door and opened it and turned around a little. "Of course I'll miss you, maybe even so much I'll look you up, after all I need my Artemys fix," he said with a slight smirk. "Ready?" he asked, holding the door for her. After all, he could act like the perfect gentleman when he wanted to.

Artemys eyed Lenard when she heard what he said and couldn’t help but smile playfully as she made to stand up and slip on her coat. "Oh I’m sure you can handle having absolutely no contact with me for two days. I’ll be back before you know it." Although she wouldn’t be surprised if he actually did show up out of the blue during her and Sophia’s stay at the farmhouse. After tying the coat’s belt around her petite waist and checking herself over in the mirror one last time then she made to grab her purse on the bed and head for the door. "Why thank you kind sir." She smiled as she passed by him. When she was out in the hallway then she turned around and waited for Lenard to close the door before snaking her arm around his so that she was walking alongside him down the corridor. "Hm… what better lucky charm to have than the Head Lady herself?" She smirked glancing up at Lenard as she thought back to his comment about her being his lucky charm tonight.

Lenard wrapped his arm around her shoulders after he had closed the door, and when she mentioned the lucky charm he chuckled. "My point exactly," he said and sent her a smile. Then he cleared his throat a little. "Now if I told you secret, will you promise not to tell it to anyone?" he asked and glanced in her direction as they headed for the stairs that lead downstairs. The thing was, especially when he played poker, then he used his empathy to sense people's emotions. Sure he couldn't exactly read their minds and see what cars they had, but he could sense if they were bluffing or not and it had saved him many times over the years.

Artemys leaned in closer towards Lenard as she felt his arm wrap her shoulders. She liked being this close to him otherwise in his arms simply because it made her feel safe and secure. However she had to eye him a bit when he mentioned about a secret and if she would promise not to mention it to anyone. For some reason she had a feeling as to what it was but in any case she slowly sent him a playful smirk. "Well it depends…" She started off as they were already making their way down the stairs. "Do I get anything in return for not saying anything? Something to keep my mouth shut so to speak?" Artemys mischievously smiled as she looked up at Lenard. Of course she would never blurt out any secrets but she couldn’t help with the teasing.

"I thought having me in your life was enough," he said with a slight smirk and grabbed her hand when they reached the stares as it was easier to get down like that, than having his arm around her. "If not, then I really don't know what else I can offer you," he said with a disappointed expression on his face as if he didn't know what else to do, of course it was all acting. Over the last couple of years he had gradually started showing more of his old mischievous side around Artemys, but in smaller dosages so he wouldn't scare her off completely, but tonight he would show the world he knew so well.

Artemys wasn’t fazed by his ‘acting’ as she shook her head lightly and didn’t say anything right away as she kept a focused mind as they walked down the stairs so as to not trip especially with the heeled shoes she was wearing. "I’m rather grateful for having you in my life… You’re one of the things that keeps me going after all. Not sure what I’d do without you around." She looked to him with a rather genuine smile typically being on a serious note and dropping what she said beforehand about getting something in return. "So what’s that little secret then?" She smirked a bit returning the subject back to his secret.

Lenard looked to her and sent her a smile. Opening the front door for her as they reached it and closed it after them, heading down to his grey Lexus and opened the door for Artemys. He was really showing himself from the gentleman like side. He got into the driver's seat afterwards and started the sports car and took off in great speed. "Well I've done my share of gambling over the centuries and after I was turned I tended to rely on one of my abilities. Easy way to make money," he said and glanced to Artemys as he told his secret.

Artemys smiled at Lenard as she got into the passenger’s seat once he opened the door for her and automatically buckled herself in with the seatbelt. She never felt safe or comfortable without wearing one especially when she herself was driving except for when she was in the backseat. Her eyes were focused on the road ahead during the drive although she of course would bring her attention on Lenard when he talked. "Ah…. Your empathy then?" She smirked lightly before shaking her head playfully and making ‘tut’-ing noises. Although as she thought about it he could also use his psychic navigation as well although that would need more specifications especially when it had to do with card games.

Lenard nodded as he turned his attention back to the road, keeping on a fast pace, sure there was the chance that he would be stopped by the police, but being a vampire he had full control over his senses, especially when it came to driving. "Of course never play against people who have abilities that can well turn yours off. Tried that a couple of times, can't advice it. Ended up loosing a lot of money, why I ended up here in the first place. Alastair didn't want to pay for my gambling and I had gotten on the bad side of a very nasty vampire," he explained. So far he had managed to stay away from said vampire, but he would probably be looked up at some point or another.

Artemys returned her stare back on the road but nonetheless she was attentive to what Lenard was saying. She fell a little silent at the mention of Alastair not really wanting to think of anyone or anything that had to do with the Rose Alliance at the moment and it worried her a bit on the note that he had gotten on some vampire’s bad side. "I may not be able to turn off abilities but you certainly can’t use any against me." She chuckled a bit peering over to Lenard with a slight smile. Heck if she wanted to then she herself could use her ability to make games go in her favor… if she ever got into the whole gambling thing that is although she wasn’t so sure about that but she knew perfectly well her own abilities couldn’t be shut down or affected in any way.

"Now that’d be fun… You playing against me." She lightly smirked although her expression then turned considerate. "Try not to go overboard or anything tonight alright? Otherwise I’ll make sure to keep you in check." She said with a stern look before smiling again. "And no worries about that secret. It's safe with me." She smiled making a zipper gesture over her lips. Gently she brushed her hand on his shoulder before neatly placing it back on her lap and turning her gaze to the outside. She had the sudden desire to hold his hand but refrained from asking not really wanting to distract him or something.

Lenard glanced in her direction when she said she would keep him in check if he went overboard. "Uhh, now I would like to see you do that," he said and gave her a wink. He would try and keep it under control, so all he hoped was for his luck to be with him, otherwise the evening could pretty quickly go south for him.

When they arrived he let the car run as the valet would take the car. A man opened the door for Artemys. Lenard moved up on the curve and took Artemys' hand as they entered the casino. Now he hadn't been in this particular one, but it would be interesting to see if there were any old acquaintances here. His eyes scanned the area. There were the VIP lounges where poker games with the big bucks took place, then there was the bar, a restaurant, the slot machines and the large area where were varies games, everything from roulette to blackjack. He moved over to the area where you could get your money exchanged to chips and the other way around. He pulled out quite the amount, more precisely ten thousand dollars and placed them in front of the cashier, who counted the money and liability before he handed over the chips.

Artemys looked over to Lenard and let out a little sigh all the while rolling her eyes. Yeah… she would definitely be sure to keep him in check. By the time the pair were already stepping inside the casino, the first thing she took note of was the stench of cigarette in the air and it was quite heavy she had to say but it’s not like breathing was important to a vampire anyways. Letting her eyes wander about the place then it was quite lively especially with all the blinking lights from the machines, sounds of slot machines ringing and people shouting and what not. Her eyebrows raised as she spotted waitresses now and then running back and forth through the casino floors with their skimpy outfits and trays in hand. As Lenard brought them over to the place to exchange money to chips then she let her eyes wander once more where they fell upon the bar and restaurant part of the casino not to mention the various shops as well. "I think we should go to the restaurant later when you’ve finished up." Artemys suggested to her boyfriend as she brought her attention back to him although her eyes widened a bit at the exchange taking place. "Goodness…." She shook her head lightly with a light hesitant smile. She had half a mind right now to just drag him out of there and go back home.

Lenard looked at Artemys when he heard her little outburst when he revealed the money. "Hey I don't play for petty cash," he said and placed a kiss on her cheek before he took his box with chips. He looked towards the VIP lounges, but unless something had changed, then you had to be a regular and in with the crowd and he wasn't quite that....yet. So he looked towards the large area with various games going on. What he usually did was to pick out a game he wanted to play and then observe for a while, he didn't just start playing right away. So he moved over to the roulette and watched as some of them gambled away their money. But his eyes weren't so much on what the people betted, but more on the roulette, how it rolled, watching the little ball. Knowing that Artemys had followed him, he looked to her for a moment and leaned in as he turned his gaze back to the roulette. "I can't quite use my abilities on this game, but that doesn't mean I can't win. It's all about the roulette, not to mention guy who starts it. If you listen carefully, there is a certain sound appearing every time the roulette reach a certain point, which means it moves a little, causing the ball to jump.....the casino is trying to get as much money from the guests as possible, but if you know this, you can actually figure out the odds. Cause ultimately the ball will end in the same pocket in most of the cases," he whispered, he was so grateful for his hearing.

"Ha… No kidding." Artemys chuckled shaking her head a little as her fingers lightly grazed over the kiss Lenard placed on her cheek. Trailing after him she had looked to the area where the VIP lounges were as well. She’d rather hope after tonight that going to the casino wasn’t going to be a daily occurrence or of the sort. Stopping beside her boyfriend when he paused before a roulette table, she looked to him briefly as he started explaining a certain method when it came to approaching this particular game then let her eyes fall on the table itself. She as well studied the roulette. In all honesty she could figure it where the ball landed simply using her projection otherwise she could make the ball land where she wanted to although if she did that then obviously it would be cheating despite the tactic being rather tempting. Still the whole concept of gambling without the abilities but with methods was amazing in of itself rather than just going at random. It occurred to her that gambling had more behind it than just pick and guess and hope to win but strategy and willing to take the risk. "Impressive… You certainly do know your stuff." She said with a slight smile although it shifted to one of a smirk. "I’ll be expecting you to win big then." She wasn’t so worried now knowing that Lenard didn’t just gamble off the money right away. It reassured her that he took his time to figure out how it worked.

Lenard smiled a little as he kept an eye on the roulette. "Now you can bet on the ball to land on a black or a red, odd or even," he explained. "The safest will be to bet on either black or red, odd or even, but you can bet on one of the numbers, but the chances of winning are very small," he said. When he was pretty sure he had this roulette worked out, he moved closer to the table and placed for about 500 dollars chips on black. After everyone had made their bets. The croupier started the roulette. Lenard could actually feel the people's anticipation for what the outcome would be. After what felt like minutes the ball finally landed in a black number. Lenard smirked and the croupier moved for 500 dollars chips over to him. He took the chips and decided to bet black again, same amount.

Artemys nodded her head lightly in understanding to what Lenard continued explaining to her and when he went ahead to place a bet at the table then she followed after him and stood a little behind him on his side so that she could see what was going on. Watching everyone as the bets were placed and the roulette started then she could see how their breaths were paused as their eyes were kept on the ball waiting for the ball to land on their desired destination. When Lenard seemed to have won then she smiled widely and went to lean against him a little. She didn’t say anything for the mean time as the game went on and just mentally cheered for her boyfriend.

Lenard ended up being quite lucky, but when he had won over 2000 dollars he thought he better move on. So collecting all his chips he moved away from the roulette table and stopped, looking towards Artemys. "Okay, let's see. Any suggestions to where we should head off to next?" he asked, looking curiously at Artemys. He ended up giving the 2000 dollars of chips to her. "Spend them as you like," he said and gave her a wink. After all he didn't think it should be just him playing tonight.

When Lenard was done playing and had asked her if she had any suggestions as to where to head off to next then she slightly raised a brow when he gave the 2000 dollar’s worth of chips over to her. "Hm… " She sounded as a mischievous expression appeared on her features as she inspected the chips for a moment before looking back to her boyfriend. "I think I will. Thank you very much." She smirked before looking thoughtfully about the area scouting for a table that seemed interesting to her. "What’s that one?" Artemys asked curiously over to a table that dealt with blackjack 21, of course it just seemed like some sort of card game to her. Without a word then she moved over to one of the tables and studied observantly what was going on. What she picked up were certain signals such as ‘hit’ or ‘stand’ of the sort and that the cards being dealt had to at max amount to 21 otherwise less from the player in order to make the dealer lose by having a lesser hand than the player's....

Lenard smiled a little when Artemys gestured towards the blackjack table. "That is blackjack and probably the easiest game in here to figure out," he said. And it wasn't long before he had pretty much told Artemys everything about the game.

After a serious of blackjack, where Artemys turned out to be quite gifted into the card game, Lenard looked in the direction of the restaurant. "Hey, do you want to grab something to eat?" he asked as they stood and pondered over what to do next. They could always play some more afterwards.

So this was what it was like to gamble… Sure the game she was playing wasn’t exactly one of the more difficut ones but then again Artemys was still just a newbie. It was fun and exhilarating nonetheless. After finishing up a game there was a slight smirk on her lips as she turned her attention over to Lenard although she looked slightly thoughtful when he suggested getting something to eat. Now that he mentioned it she was a bit hungry. "Sure." She smiled to her boyfriend as she latched onto his arm and already started moving them over towards the restaurant. "Maybe you could give me the run down of some other games over dinner… I’m rather loving this date so far." She coyly smiled up to him. Artemys certainly wasn’t expecting to take to the whole gambling thing.

Lenard smiled a little when Artemys gestured towards the blackjack table. "Lenard chuckled a little and gave her a smile. Entering the restaurant it wasn't long before a hostess approached them. [color=4e8266]"[color=44aa74]Table for two," he said. The woman took two menus and asked them to follow. It was a nice table, slightly in the corner and with dim lighting, which Lenard preferred. He held the chair out for Artemys, after all he could be a gentleman when needed before he took his own seat and took the menu. The woman asked if they wanted something to drink, he looked over at Artemys to hear what she wanted. He would probably go with a whiskey or something.

Artemys sent Lenard a slight smile after he had helped her into her chair and once she was settled then already her mismatched eyes were scanning through the menu. Hearing the waitress though inquire about drinks then she briefly brought her attention to the woman. "Margarita please." It wasn’t often that the Head Lady went for anything alcohol but if the opportunity for it was there then why not? Of course over the years she’s come to learn about her low tolerance to the stuff especially after her and her sisters’ twenty-first birthday bash. That was probably the only intense thing she’s done regarding alcohol and would rather not experience it again. And of course there was her ‘youthful’ looks which brought about the questioning of her age like right now for instance.

Without hesitation she showed her ID to the woman who only seemed somewhat satisfied which just made Artemys very subtly smirk a bit. Her attention went back to the menu as the waitress got Lenard’s drink order and when she had decided on what she wanted then she neatly folded the menu and rested it on the table. "This is nice… We should go out more often." She said with a little smile as she moved her hair over her right shoulder. Sure the couple have been out on many dates over the years but more so the past few months they haven’t been able to do so as often as they'd like to.

Lenard looked up from his menu when Artemys spoke. "Well the year so far has been a bit hectic, but if we are lucky it might slow down," he said and sent her a hopeful smile before he returned his gaze back to the menu. Not quite sure what to get, letting out a slight sigh. As a waiter returned with their drinks and asked if they were ready to order, he put the menu down. "I'll be having what ever she's having," he said and sent Artemys a grin. Well it made things easier for him, besides he could eat pretty much anything.

"Hm… Hopefully…" Artemys said thoughtfully although it sounded more on the down side as she shifted her gaze back to the menu. She doubted it though despite not revealing those thoughts so really she didn’t want to be so hopeful as if doing so would just be a jinx.

Right as she looked to the waitress then she straight away brought her eyes on Lenard to which she chuckled and shook her head lightly. "In that case…" She started off as she returned her attention back to the menu to read off what she wanted which was one of the steak dishes. She looked to the woman with a slight smile as she handed her the menu. "We’ll have the steak special…. Extra rare." Usually she would have went for some pasta dish but she figured she’d get something different tonight. Not to mention she didn’t have much to eat today let alone blood so that’d be a plus in a way.

After the waitress took the order and left, carefully she crossed one leg over the other with a sigh before looking to Lenard with a warm expression. She didn’t say anything right away but observe him quietly as she took the time to be astonished by how she was with this man in the first place. Sure they’ve been together for just about four and a half years already but it still amazed her in the least. "Have I mentioned how much I love you today by any chance?" She lightly smiled tilting her head a bit. Artemys knew the affection was a tad awkward even at this point in their relationship but she couldn’t help it. Just being around him was enough to make her feel happy and all the worries to disappear.
