The past week had been hell…. Not only was her mind completely stressed over what was going on with Celia but now she also had to worry about Reira what with her miscarriage and then Cassie as well. Probably what threw her off her rocker was that fact it was none other than Daniele and Charlot that had attacked the both of them. Something had to be done with that damn Rose Alliance… she was not going to sit and wait for them to place more turmoil on her family. What if next time someone had actually ended up dead? Could anyone really blame how she was feeling right now? Not only that but she had to deal with her Head Lady duties and the fact that she still wasn’t completely over her torture. Artemys was a mental mess… Up until now she had been doing her best to be there for her sisters… practically the whole week… but now she felt she needed a break from everything. She just couldn’t take it anymore.

So with a mere note that was simply labeled ‘Went out’ lying on her nightstand, she went off on her own from the Chateau taking her car and headed down to the vampire territory. She didn't want to bother with Lenard being her bodyguard right now as she knew he was also worrying over Celia as well. The first thing she did was head up to her room at the castle making sure her possessions that she left were still there. Fortunately that was the case so after that and then checking that things at the castle itself were in order then she headed down to the Hunting Grounds. It had been awhile since she had herself fresh human blood. The pre-made ones and animal blood she had been living off on at the Chateau were mildly satisifying. Artemys had never really worried much over her bloodlust. She knew she had self-control. Even if it wasn’t complete then she still had some. Right now she was taking a stroll through the grounds searching for some donor she could feed off of. And after she wass done feeding… well who knew what she would do next.

Artemis just left her room at the castle and decided to have a quick feed. She was more in the mood for a warm bite, so she headed off to the hunting grounds to find something the deathbringers brought. She was running through the woods, enjoying the freedom of the night, when she sensed a strong presence nearby. She followed it and soon saw a young woman walking through the woods. Just by first glance, she looked like she was having a bad day. "Who are you planning to kill?" she asked, revealing her presence. She walked up closer and said, "I've seen that look many of times before, a few with my own reflection." She could sense that this woman was of great importance, so she respectfully kept a small distance. Besides, some vamps like their space when they're hunting.

Artemys was simply taking her time as the walk was allowing her to think a bit but she had immediately stopped in her tracks when a question was directed at her by an unfamiliar female voice. Turning to face the other vampiress she could sense right away her rank which was that of a Bellator. She couldn’t recall the woman’s face though so apparently the pair had never met before. Hearing her question made her chuckle a little…. In a non-humorous manner. "It’s that obvious isn’t it?" She retorted back with a question of her own. A light sigh escaped her as she ran her fingers through her hair. Apparently all the stress built up was reflecting her not only mentally but her physical appearance as well. "Just some damn Alliance that’s been causing trouble since the year started…." Answering that just made her blood boil even more. A thoughtful expression then formed from the hard one she had not too long ago as she looked at the other woman. It wasn’t that she didn’t mind the woman’s company but the fact of the matter was that she didn’t know who she was so laying out her problems to a stranger didn’t seem so polite. "I haven’t seen you here before… Are you new to town or something?" She asked in a tired curious tone. "I’m Artemys Twilight… Head Lady of the vampire coven…" It was hinted in her voice the disdain she felt for announcing her rank but then again she felt it was better to say it out rather than have it found out later.

Artemis couldn't help but look at her the woman and smile. "Well, Artemys Twilight, I'm Artemis Lechia." She laughed a bit and added, "But if it's easier, you can always call me Missy." She thought it was pretty funny that there was another Artemys around, of course, this one was probably born with the name. "And to answer your question, yes and no..." she replied. "I lived her some odd years ago, left town, but came back. Reasons unsure, but I'm glad I did." She looked at Artemys and asked, "So what's been going on with you, if you don't mind me asking."

As soon as she heard the woman’s name she really did have to smile back. Although it really didn’t surprise her much as there was also Artemys Vladimir living in town as well. Hearing her suggestion for what to call her then she nodded. "And you can simply refer to me as ‘Art’." She listened thoughtfully when it was explained that Artemis had lived here years back but left town only to return. "Ah… It’s a shame I haven’t seen you around before. Lived here practically my whole life. I’m sure we should’ve crossed paths some time but better sooner than later I suppose." Artemys falted a little though when Missy asked her what’s been going on and her mood suddenly depressed a little although there was that hint of anger and frustration as well. "I don’t mind… but a lot of things have happened to be honest… I don’t know where to start." Not to mention she felt it a bit selfish of her to bring her troubles upon this woman that she had just met regardless that the vampiress asked her herself. She had also been hoping to get away from it all. "If ‘you’ don’t mind… I think I want to feed first before explaining anything… I feel like I’m just going to depress myself if I speak of anything now…. Have you yourself fed yet?" Artemys asked politely as she gestured her off to a walk. At least she figured Artemis was out here to feed to seeing as this was the hunting grounds.

Artemis smiled, "No, I haven't fed yet. Been waiting for the right one." She looked around the woods, waiting to find a human the deathbringers had brought. As she walked, she looked up and smiled at a tree. She ran up, grabbed a branch, and flipped herself up until she landed on it in a crouching position. She glanced around, taking a deep inhale of the night air. She looked down at Artemys and said, "You know, a hunt is supposed to be enjoyed." She hopped down and walked beside the Head Lady once more. "And enjoying doesn't mean killing either."

Artemis looked up and noticed a human woman in view. "Ah, there we go..." She walked up to the girl and said, "We won't hurt you, I promise." The girl nodded and closed her eyes. She obviously knew why she was there. Artemis came up to her and guided her to Artemys. "For you," she smiled, "you seem to need it more than I do." She glanced around until she found another human. With the male, she gave the same assurance before coming up and feeding on him. When she was done, she let the nearby deathbringer grab him as she turned to walk back to Artemys, her eyes still have yet to turn red.

Artemys nodded to Missy as she said she hadn’t fed yet and merely kept an observant stare on her actions before smirking a bit when the woman said hunting was a thing to be enjoyed. She was about to respond when Artemis had found a girl and led her over. To be honest she would have preferred a man’s blood but she wasn’t one to complain. "Thanks…" She said feeling the hunger in her stomach. Slowly tearing her eyes away from the other vampiress as she went off to feed herself on another human she found, she brought her attention to the girl and sent her a little smile. A deathbringer came by just as the Head Lady had finished and after watching him take the girl away, she brought her attention on Artemis but immediately looked curious at the woman with her scarlet irises when she noticed the other vampiress’ eyes not the same…. Didn’t she just feed as well? "If you don’t mind me asking… Why aren’t your eyes red?"

Artemis grinned. "Oh, you mean like this?" Her eyes turned bright crimson, but faded back. She shrugged a little and replied, "I happen to have perfect control over my bloodlust, to the point of keeping normal appearance when I'm feeding. No I can focus on my bloodlust to turn my eyes red or elongate my fangs, but it doesn't pop out when it wants to." She leaned against a tree and said, "You see, even though I've only been alive for a little over a century, I found the secret to being a vampire. How to gain complete control, so that nothing rules my life. How else could I be a bellator, if I couldn't even control myself?" Artemis took pride in her self-gained realization. She didn't have a problem sharing if anyone asked.

Artemys’ interest was rather peaked as Artemis spoke of how she’s gained self control when it came to bloodlust. Was there really a secret to it? Of course she herself knew she had control over her thirst for blood but of course it was incomplete. Perhaps she was on the road to the answer but hadn’t really grasped it just yet. "I see… I’ll admit… I’ve been able to keep control when it comes to my own bloodlust but its rather limited…" She then kept a keen stare on the woman wondering if it was rude to ask her such a thing. "What’s the secret then? Or would you kill me if you told me?" She playfully smiled. Although if this woman were able to do such a feat then maybe she would be able to help out Celia as well. Sure her dark side had been binded but it still didn’t hurt to be cautious.

Artemis grinned at her new friend. "Oh, it's no secret really," she replied. "Everyone else has just yet to figure it out." She walked up a few steps ahead of the Head lady and turned around to face her, walking backwards. "The easiest way to control yourself is simple... Be a vampire." She laughed and turned around to walk forward again. "I know I sound like some crazy Confucius-wanna-be philosopher that watched too many Star Wars movies, but it's true. Most of our kind have tried spending their lives trying to be human, or living as monsters. The trick is to be neither."

Artemys curiously stared at Artemis as she explained the ‘secret’ to controlling bloodlust… Being a vampire? Although as she thought about it… it did make sense in a way. Maybe that’s why she herself didn’t have the full control… there was a part of her accepting who she was… but then again there was the other that hated it… She had never really approved of her vampiric nature and yet at the same time didn’t mind it. "I see…. I think I do get where you’re coming from with that… That certainly would be a useful tip especially with my sister… and just about every other vampire out there really" She said with a thoughtful gaze before placing her stare back on the woman. "Would it be troublesome if I requested for your guidance in self-control? I know you say it’s simple but I’m not so sure about that… If you wouldn’t mind at least… Knowing this would be beneficial to my sister as well…" Artemys knew perfectly well that Celia wanted to be able to maintain her bloodlust and what better way than through Artemis’ way?

Artemis raised an eyebrow at Art. She's asking her for help? The Head Lady? Well, this is new... "Sure, I wouldn't mind helping you guys out," she answered. "After all, it is my job to assist and protect other vampires, correct?" She smiled and gave a dramatic bow before continuing her walk. Out of nowhere, she grabbed Art and teleported the to one of the tops of the castle. "I love this spot!" she exclaimed, spinning around. She leaned against the edge, looking at Art. "One thing I learned about being a vampire, high places are crack to our senses. We love being above others, which makes sense, since we're higher in the food chain." She motioned Art to look over the edge. "How does it feel to be standing right here, right now?" she asked.

Artemys simply nodded to Artemis with a smile before letting out a chuckle at her bow. She had a feeling she was going to be hanging around this woman a lot from now on…. Especially after the vampiress suddenly teleported them up to the top of the castle. Of course the Head Lady was a bit surprised having not been warned about it but as they lingered further up there then she was able to be at ease. There was still a queasy feeling in her stomach from the intense height factor but it simmered down as she approached the edge as Artemis gestured for her to do so. It was a calming feeling she had to say…and yet…. "It’s exhilarating… Makes me feel like I can do anything." She admitted. "To be honest I actually feel like jumping off….and when I land I’ll be perfectly unharmed… Confidence is another thing to being a vampire, isn’t it?" She said to Artemis with a small smile. That was another thing she really had to work on if so…

Artemis smiled at Art as she spoke. "Yeah, that's one of the feelings," she replied. "It's the monsters who think that they're invincible. Nobody is, otherwise Mother Nature would rage quit on the world and start this whole shin-dig all over again." She laughed and said, "Witch, so I'm partly required to make a nature/balance yaddi-yadda message here and there." Missy looked out to the view of the city in the distance. "Being a vampire is knowing how strong you really are, knowing what limits you have, and which of them you can break. That's what separates us from humans. We have an eternity to make the world better, make us better." She sat on the edge, her feet dangling off. "I can always be found sitting on the edge of a building," she mentioned. "It's always my favorite spot."

Artemys listened intently as Artemis spoke. She appreciated the older vampiress’ philosophy and found it quite meaningful as well as easy to understand. In a way, she was right… yes they were born as humans… but now that they no longer were… why try to be what you’re not? Not that the Head Lady ever found herself doing as such but then again she still hadn’t quite accepted her vampiric nature. Maybe it was time to do that… perhaps in doing so… then maybe she wouldn’t feel useless nor stressed any longer. Or at least it’d make her be better than how she is now. Hopefully… A smile curved her lips as she watched her new found friend sit on the edge. "Well, now I’ll know where to go looking first.." She chuckled a little as she carefully mimicked the woman’s actions. "I can see why it’s a favorite…. It feels like being on the edge of danger… One little slip and you’ll be hurdling down in an instant…" For some reason she was just so calm around Artemis….like all the stress went away… of course just thinking about it was making it come back but nonetheless it amazed her how carefree the woman was as well as her view on the life of being a vampire. "I really do appreciate your view on life… in the vampiric sense… It would have been a useful tip over the years… After all the recent drama, I’ve just been feeling so stressed all the time." She sighed a little as she brought her out looking in the direction of where the hills were.

Lizzie had been sitting on the other side of the tall spear, sitting in her own thoughts when she suddenly heard voices on the other side. She turned her head a little, she recognized one of the voices to be that little girlfriend of her brother's and she couldn't help but laugh, which of course gave off her position. She moved around the spear and saw Artemys with another vampire. "Well if it isn't the Head Lady," she said and crossed her arms as she looked towards the two vampires with a dark smirk. "You know it's a bunch of nonsense you two are talking about. Clearly you have no idea what it means to be a vampire," she said and sent them an expression that said that she clearly knew better.

Artemis immediately grabbed onto one of her arm blades on her back the moment she heard someone nearby. But she rested a little when she saw that Art seemed to know the person. But only a little. When she heard the woman speak about how they have no idea what is takes to be a vampire, Artemis only smiled. "Well, I'm still alive, aren't I?" she replied. She let go of her weapon and turned her attention back to the view of the city. "Of course, none of us are the first of vampires, so what right do we have to claim what being a vampire is truly like?"

Artemys was immediately on alert at the sound of a familiar voice and when she turned to see it was Lizette, she instantly got up and glared daggers at the woman. The first and last time she saw the woman was years back in Lenard’s room. She never forgot what the woman said though… about her wanting to get back into the Rose Alliance. Heck she was even suggesting to Lenard that they offer her, the Head Lady, to Alastair just so that they could get back in. She doubted those intentions have drastically faded over the years. Even though Missy wasn’t as alert anymore then Artemys still kept her guard up. "Hn… ‘Nice’ to see you too… Still planning on scheming yourself back into the Alliance?" She said coldly disregarding the current topic. With her not living amonst her siblings then she was sure the woman was still up to no good.

Lizzie simply looked at the other vampire before her gaze went back to the Head Lady. "Really think I would answer that," she said and smirked a little. "I hear you've already been in the gentle hands of the Alliance, bet Lenard was all over the place, knowing that his little girlfriend was their prisoner," she said with a slight chuckle. "Of course if I had been there, then I doubt you would be standing here now," she said with a smirk. Gosh she missed torturing people, of course if she was quick she could have Artemys out and away from this place.
