Of course, it was time for him to return home to his family, and even though he was a little scared, he was more than keen to see them. He missed them so much. Walking up to the front door, he looked back down to Holden who was waiting there just to make sure that things went alright. By the expression on his face, it was obvious that he had a different personality about him. Dastan was healthy, presentable, gentle and sweet. Maybe even a little too fragile, but he would end up fitting in again with his family in no time. With a shy look on his face, he knocked on his own front door, feeling like a stranger. Behind his back he held a small bouquet of roses and a simple box of chocolates for Katie.

It had been a few days since the attack, Kaitlyn was all healed up now and was slowly getting back to normal, however she had had to have the carpet replaced in their bedroom as the blood stain hadn't come out, and she had put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. It had been a stressful few days for Kaitlyn, all three of their children were all missing their father and there was nothing that she could do to help that, the twins weren't sleeping or feeding right which resulted in Katie not sleeping well, even if Levi had been around to help.
Kaitlyn had been walking between the kitchen and office and she heard the knock at the door. Briefly looking to the clock, she frowned a little, before making her way over to the door, tucking her hair behind her ears before she opened the door. Seeing Dastan standing in front of her, Kaitlyn frowned a little, it wasn't that she wasn't glad to see him, but she was still a little wary around him. "Forget your key did you?" she said crossing her arms over her chest, looking to her husband with a blank look on her face.

Then he followed her into the house closing the door behind him, of course, Holden was just going to wait outside and leave it to him. Still with his hands behind his back and managing to look like he wasn't hiding anything, he was going to wait for the right moment to actually give her the gifts. "Katie.." He began. "Once again, I am so sorry. I'm sorry that I acted the way that I did. I just.. Everything, had collected up inside me. Just everything, and... it made me go insane, to the point where I couldn't function or think properly any longer. But I'm not going to use that as my entire excuse. I should have been strong enough, and mature enough to pick up my game. I won't deny that I have let everybody down. And I won't deny that I have set a bad example for others. Kaitlyn looked to Dastan, she couldn't help but think that it was a lame excuse. It had been hard without him here, she had had to turn clients away, some had even taken their horses out of the stables when they found out what had happened. Lifting up her shirt a little, Kaitlyn pointed to the scar that she now had that spanned across her stomach. "Look at what they did to me... I've only just been able to pick up the twins, let alone do anything else.... I am meant to be your wife, you're meant to be able to talk to me about anything, I tried to talk to you, I tried to ask you what was wrong and you threw it back in my face.... you're lucky that I don't hold grudges, you have a lot of making up to do." she explained dropping her shirt down so that her stomach was hidden again. To Kaitlyn it was just another scar like the ones on her back that had slowly started to fade. Kaitlyn didn't know if she was going to be able to forgive Dastan just like that, but she missed him like there was no tomorrow.

Dastan nodded when Katie spoke again. "I know." He down to her scar, it made him feel horrible. "I understand everything." He glanced down to her scar again. Dastan would have kissed it better if he could at the moment. "I'm not the man I used to be, or well, I could hardly be called a man. And really there is no actual explanation for rejecting your help and making a fool out of myself. Just everything that I did, was wrong, and I have more than certainly changed completely." He nodded again, then brought the flowers and chocolates out from behind his back. "Well, maybe we can start with something like this. I apologise for the delay..." He held out the flowers and such to Katie as a late Valentine's gift, but also as a sorry gift. How could he possibly come up for an excuse for everything he had done wrong? All he could do for the moment was understand what he had done wrong, and he was more than capable of doing that.

Kaitlyn looked down a little, but as Dastan presented the bouquet of roses and small boxes of chocolates, Kaitlyn raised her eyebrows a little, it wasn't like this was going to make up for anything that he had done, but she supposed that it was a start. Taking a step forward, Kaitlyn took the roses and moved over to a cupboard so that she could get a vase out. "Thank you... Grace might like the chocolates though, she's missed you a lot." she explained looking over her shoulder as she chopped the bottoms of the roses. Decanting some water in the vase, Katie arranged the roses a little. "I missed you." she explained looking over to her shoulder to Dastan, a small smile at her lips.

After they had all finished dinner, Grace had started to play around with some rather happy twin brothers. She was going to take the opportunity while it lasted, since her brothers seemed to be constantly crying lately. Having them both laying on their backs on a soft blanket out in a spare room, she tickled them both at once. Of course, Levi had also found it quite amusing to watch them smile a little, so he joined in, also taking the opportunity like she was doing. For somebody his age, it was a little worrying that she had better parenting skills than he did. The two twins could only just manage to roll themselves over from time to time, though they didn't do it constantly. Grace chuckled when she made them both giggle, which made Levi start laughing. Practically, the whole room was filled with chuckling and giggling. Though she calmed down a bit when she caught the scent of her dad. Without thinking twice, she arose from the ground and rushed out into the kitchen. "Daddy!" She almost shrieked and leapt onto both her parents.

As Dastan moved over to her, Kaitlyn turned to face him and as she was hugged she wasn't quite sure what to do. Pretty instantly though, Kaitlyn wrapped her arms around Dastan's neck and buried her face in his chest, everything had been so bad recently, and she finally felt at peace having her husband back. Sniffing a little, Kaitlyn let a couple of tears spill down her cheek. Then as Grace bounded over to them, Kaitlyn looked up and smiled a little to her daughter. "You're father has been helping out a lot... he's with the twins at the moment," she explained looking to Dastan cautiously. Kaitlyn wasn't sure if she should tell Dastan that his father had been staying there, but the man had been a god send over the passed week.

He couldn't help but jump a little bit as Grace appeared and leapt onto them both from a hug. "Hey sweetheart." Dastan smiled to her and placed an arm around her. "I've missed you so much." He continued to hold onto both of them. Then he raised a hand to his wife's cheek and kissed her forehead lovingly, then also embraced his daughter with both arms. Looking to Katie when she mentioned his dad, he smiled, and finally let Grace breathe by letting go. "And where are those two beautiful baby boys?" He smiled to both Katie and Grace before wondering off to the room that his daughter had come from. Looking down, he saw Levi and the twins, he sent a big grateful smile to his father. "Thank you. So much. I owe you an apology." He went over to Levi and hugged him as soon as he stood up.

Still making Harry and George giggle, he looked to Grace when she suddenly realised, he smiled when she rushed off to go and find him. Staying put with the twins, he decided to keep tickling them, as well as making funny faces down at them. Then he when Dastan appeared, he looked up to him with a soft smile then arose from the floor to embrace him. "I forgive you for throwing a pair of scissors at me." Levi chuckled a bit and hugged him tightly. Finally letting go, he looked down to the twins and gestured to them.

Kaitlyn was a little taken a back when Dastan didn't seem at all put off by the fact that his father had been here for the past week. At first, Kaitlyn was a little sceptical, what if this was just an act, then watching as Dastan made his way down the hall to see the twins, Kaitlyn raised an eyebrow to Grace before walking after him. Stopping in the doorway, Kaitlyn watched as Dastan embraced his father, now this was a surprise. "Levi's been staying in here... the twins seem to like him." she explained still looking cautiously to Dastan, before turning her attention down to the twins, a smile forming over her lips.

They both went a little quiet as they examined the different face in the house, though they did recognise him. "Oh hello." He said with a funny voice while looking down to them. "Of course I've missed you both too." Dastan leaned over and took them both up in his lap, kissing both of the baby's heads. He managed to hide a little tear from the others, there was so much to talk about, but he was just really relieved to be home.

Levi looked down at Dastan when he knelt on the floor. He then looked at Katie, a little surprised by his attitude, and it seemed that by Katie's expression, she was a little too. When Levi heard the smallest abnormal noises outside, he went to go and check. Though when he opened the front door, all he found was Holden patiently waiting, but Levi wasn't surprised at all. "What on Earth are you doing out here? It's freezing." He admitted and gestured for him to come into the cabin. Once in the house, he looked at Holden with a smile, then quickly hugged him. "So... I guess you can say that you did a nice job looking after your brother." He raises an eyebrow and tilts his head to the side.

Then turning slightly to watch Levi walk over to the front door, Kaitlyn was a little curious as to what he was doing, but as Holden was welcomed into the cabin, she raised her eyebrows a little. Looking down to Dastan and the twins, Kaitlyn moved into the room and knelt down next to her husband. "I could've made something for dinner if I'd have known we were going to have a full house." she explained reaching a hand to Dastan's cheek, brushing her thumb over his features.

When he heard Katie say that she would have made something for dinner, he looked though the doorway with Holden behind him, then he turned around. "Are you hungry?" He asked Holden with a slight smile, gesturing for him to follow out to the kitchen, just to leave Dastan and his wife alone for a moment. "Yeah, sure.." Holden had replied and did indeed follow on out to the kitchen. "What would you like? Just something small? " He asked. "You know, just a glass of water will be fine for now, I don't really think I need to eat any more than I have done, I'm on a strict diet." Holden replied. Levi grinned and nodded. "Alright.." He chuckled and then handed his son a glass of water. Levi had a big happy smile on his face. "I can't believe I finally found you. Both of you." He blinked, still smiling.

Kaitlyn briefly looked out through the door to Levi and Holden before looking back to Dastan. She really had no idea how Dastan was going to make things up to her, did he even need to? Kaitlyn had never been one to hold grudges, but Dastan had hurt her. "Just don't disappear on me again... if it wasn't for Levi I don't know what I would have done, hopefully now the twins will settle a little bit... they haven't been feeding very well, or sleeping for that matter." she explained looking down to the twins with a slightly frustrated smile. Then taking one of the twins, Kaitlyn carefully help Harry against her, she still felt it hard holding the babies, brushing a hand through his hair, she smiled a little as he looked up to her and chewed on his fist.
