Shawn had just gotten into town a little while ago and decided to go for a walk while his band got their stuff unloaded into the motel. He had his guitar with him slung over his shoulder and across his back as he walked the on the pavillon looking out at the water. It was so much nicer out now that winter had released it's hold on the city and spring was moving in. It was cool enough that Shawn had to wear a light jacket but at least he didn't have to wear layer after layer of coats. Finding a bench, Shawn sat down bringing his guitar onto his lap and lightly strumming the strings till he started to play his song "Lucy".

Kali had left the solitude of her motel room to get some fresh air and take a break from her music. It had been a couple of days since her date with Ben and she had been keeping away, drowning herself in her passion. It gave her time to sort and think through things. She had to figure out what she wanted in life. Before she had arrived at this town she had known what she wanted and she had been pursuing her dreams, now she felt lost and confused, which wasn't something that suited her well.
Spring was starting to creep up on winter and the the temperature was changing, the sun was out today and the botanic garden was the perfect place for her to be. As she walked the sound of a guitar reached her. She hadn't ran into someone else who could play beside Morgan and she hadn't talked to him it what felt like ages. Making her way to the source of the sound she caught a scent on the breeze and noticed it was human. She turned a corner and saw a man sitting on a bench playing, there was a friendly smile on her face as she approached him. "That is really lovely." she said as she stopped in front of him, just a few feet away.

Shawn was nearing the end of the song when a women nearly made him jump out of his skin when she snuck up on him. "Thank you it's called Lucy after, an old friend of mine." He said when he calmned down some and he looked in her eyes to show that he respected her. "Sorry I'm forgetting my manners, the names Shawn, Shawn Garcia. Do you play at all Miss..." He introduced himself standing up and stretching a hand out to her as a friendly greeting. A friendly smile was on his face as a breeze messed up his hair a bit but he didn't fret with it since he could always fix it later.

She smiled and sat down on the bench, leaving plenty of room for him to sit if he wanted to. A breeze blew her hair into her face and she brushed it away so she could look up and see Shawn, there was a smile on her face. "How long have you been playing for?" she asked him.

Shaking her hand he sat down next to her. "I've been playing since I was eight, and my old man started drinking when I was thirteen, mother disappeared at eighteen which was the same time when I left and started playing professionally." He said mentally smacking himself when he realized that he was avoiding her question. "Almost thirty years, sorry about the whole extention of what I said." Shawn apologized taking the strap off from around his shoulders and handed it to her. "Show me whatcha got Miss. Sanders." He insisted a friendly smile on his face hoping that she wouldn't take this as coming onto her since he hadn't tried dating in a while so he just stopped.

Kali smiled when he handed her the guitar and told her to show him what she had. She played a couple of random notes to hear the tune and then she thought of which one she wanted to play. She began to play her song 'Don't', she didn't know why she had picked that one...guess it just brought back memories. When she finished she just sat there for a moment in silence, before shaking her head and handing him the guitar, "Thats all I got right now." she told him.

Taking back his guitar when she finished Shawn clapped a few times for her smileing at her. "Not bad Miss. Sanders, not bad at all. Perhaps you could do a number with us sometime." Sawn suggested wondering what she would think about adding some country flavor to a rock band. It would be something different definetly even though most country singers already mixed rock and rap with their music but it would still be interesting. "What do you say? Try something differentfor a change." He said moving his hands like as if they wee weights on weither or not she would or wouldn't.

When Shawn suggested that they do a number together she smiled and thought about it. She didn't think it was a bad idea and she would like to give it a try but she had come to this town for a break from everything and to find inspiration. This would be a good chance to add new flavor to her style and she couldn't deny that it was kind of an inspiration getter but she still wasn't sure. "I will have to think about it and then get back to you, sounds like it would be great though." she told him.

Shawn put on a puppy face that turned to a smile as he just started laughing. He knew the look in Miss. Sander's eyes that she was here to get a breack from all the fame and stuff. "It's alright, I understand. If you feel like doing a number I'm in room B11." He said as he stood streaching his hand out shake her hand before he would head back to the motel to see how the guys were doing and to see if he could get a few rehearsals in since he planed on haveing a small concert at the night club in perhaps a few weeks.

"I will think about it but I can't make any guarentees." she said with a smile as she too stood up and shook his hand. "It was a pleasure meeting you Shawn. We shall have to get together and discuss music sometime soon." she added before moving back some. He seemed like a great fellow musician and a great person to talk too. Turning her back to him she put her hands in her pocket and walked down the path towards the exit. She was thinking of finding Ben and talking to him for a bit she was kind of missing his company but she had work to do so she would grab a bite to eat and head to her room to work on her music.
