Leona was starting to get used to that she couldn't feel Laurant poking around in her head anymore, even when she wasn't around Javier, so for once in a very long time she had pretty much snug out of the chateau to do some scooping around the harbour, they had heard from reliable sources that something would take place in the harbour that evening. With the wind blowing around her ears and the snow hitting her face it was hard even for her to have a proper visual of the place. She sat up on the top of a bunch of containers that were waiting to be shipped, even though it was freezing cold, all she wore was her long leather jacket and it wasn't cut out for a snow storm, but she couldn't feel the cold, so all she did was scout the harbour from the top. They had finally set up the bugs in Laurant's hotel room and he had been talking about a ship that would arrive tonight, Leona had volunteered although her brother hadn't been up for it, but even he could see that if she couldn't do something efficient she would go insane anyways. All she could now was to wait.

lemar was walking up the driveway to the chateau on his way hoome from classes when he saw leona sneaking out. he stepped into the bushes hoping she would not see him and luckly she didnt. he thoughts she was acting weird so he decided to follow her from a distance. he was good at tailing people so it wasnt long before behind her as they entered the harbor. he pulled his car into one of the small side driveways where his car would not be seen by her. he got out of his car and climbed to the roof of one of the worf warehouses so he could get a better veiw of what was going on. he knew if leona saw him he was in trouble but he would deal with that if the situation arrised. he wasnt sure he would beable to stay here long though due to the fact he was only wearing a t-shirt in this blizzard

Leona was looking from the road to the water hoping she would catch a glimpse of who would arrive. Leona dropped down on the container roof when she noticed cars were arriving, lieing as flat as possible so they would notice her. It wasn't Laurant who came but some of his men, apparently they were closing off this part of the harbour for what or who was coming, she over heard one of the men saying that Laurant would be there soon and everything had to be ready. Leona quickly ran and jumped over the containers towards her car, she jumped down and out of the trunk she pulled out a sharp bladed sword, just in case she needed to do some beheading, better safe than sorry. Then she started to head back that was when she noticed the car that belonged to Lemar in one of the sideways.
"What is he doing here?" she mumbled, but she didn't do more out of it, as long he stayed out of the way and didn't get himself into trouble fine by her. She headed back to the containers, but she couldn't help to stop and have a look around, she practically scanned the place until she finally caught the glimpse of him. She was by his side quickly and then she hit the back of his head with such a blow that he would know she wasn't happy.
"What are you doing here? Go home," Leona said in a hushed voice so she wouldn't give away their position to the vampires further away, then she looked up and down and noticed he only had a t-shirt on.
"I know we're vampires but that doesn't mean you have to flash it to everyone, haven't you been taught anything," she kept on going before she stopped talking and looked in the direction where she could spot the vampires getting ready. She swung the sword and with a swift move stuck it into a holster underneath her jacket against her back.

lemar was caught off guard when he felt his sister smack him in the back of the head. he turned around to face her.

"you know you really shouldnt sneak up on a man with a submachine gun in hand unless your gonna kill him" he said throwing the sling to his H&K over his shoulder.

"im not going anywhere sister so you might as well tell me whats going on here, or i could always call leo or javier and ask what is going on if you'ld prefer" he said as he looked down at the car where his jacket sat.

"and nobody taught me i should wear a jacket in sub-below weather i was abandoned as a child remember" he said with a bit of aggravation in his voice. he still didnt like that subject and it brought back bad feelings.

Leona stood with her hands resting on her hips and tipping her foot up and down against the roof. It usually meant she wasn't happy and she was far from happy right now, but when he started to blackmail her she stopped.
"Hey, to your information, Leo knows what's going on, so don't try and pull that trick on me, call him fine by me, but you are moving on dangerous grounds here. It's not the time for me being a baby sitter," she said and looked harshly at Lemar, she still looked at her little brother as a kid, she had never seen him fight so she didn't know how good he was and she didn't like to use people she didn't know how they were fighting, not that she expected it to end in a fight, she was just out spying on Laurant that was it.
"So I would advise you to drive home and stay there," Leona said and headed back to the spot where she had been before. She swiftly jumped from container to container until she reached her spot, she quickly placed herself on her stomach as a flash of light came in her direction, apparently they had put up spots to scout for possible intruders. That was when a long black limousine drove through the gates, she knew it then, Laurant had arrived the harbour.

Laurant sat in the warm and cosy limousine and looked out the window.
"Is the boat on schedule?" Laurant asked the man who sat next to him. The man looked at his iPad and nodded.
"Good, now let's go give my brother a welcome," Laurant said and as if someone was waiting for him to say that someone opened his door so he could get out.

Laurant stepped out into the freezing cold, the snow twirled around him and the wind hit his face, but it didn't bother him. Over his black suit he wore a thick winter coat with black mink around the edges, he wore black leather gloves. His long white hair was gathered with a black silk ribbon in a ponytail and on his head he had a black mink hat on. He looked more like a Russian lord than a French aristocrat, he walked towards the place where the boat was expected and just as he arrived they could hear the sound of a boat entering the harbour. It took another 15 minutes before the boat docked, but as soon it was possible to get off board a dark figure that wore the same kind of outfit as Laurant went off board. He had a cane in his right hand as Laurant had one in his left.

"Brother," Lestat exclaimed as he put his foot on firm ground again. The two brothers gave each other a kiss on each cheek and a hug.
"Lestat, so good to finally have you here. Hope the journey went well, did you get it?" Laurant asked as he looked past his brother's head. A group of vampires were unloading the boat, huge crates were taken off as Laurant and Lestat proceeded back to the limousine.
"I did, it is magnificent, I have never seen anything like it, if any of the myths are correct then it will be very useful," Lestat said.

The snow didn't affect vampires, given their lack of a pulse and body heat, but it affected werewolves just as it would humans. The walk with Alex from the caves had been swifter than normal, given just how cold she was starting to get, and the quicker she took Alex to Laurant, the better. She had only met the vampire once and the meeting had been brief but it had certainly left its mark on Hex, mentally if not physically. She understood his power, his presence, and respected both. She knew he would be a useful ally and a fearsome enemy, and Hex knew which side she would rather be on.

As they approached the harbour, she saw a few cars parked up and a boat that had docked. She could make out through the snow two figures standing before each other, like mirror images. That was them. Laurant's brother had arrived in town. Now, Hex was cocky and headstrong, and usually would march straight upto anyone and announce her presence. But not with these two. Keeping to the shadows as best as possible, she was aware Alex was with her and she had to keep up the charade for his sake, to make sure he continued with her. Glancing back to him, she nodded over towards the boat, where she saw a team of vampires unloading something.
"There is the new shipment my friend was talking about, just coming in off the boat. Let me do the talking, Alex, just until I introduce you properly, okay?" Moving quietly, Hex headed towards the twins and the boat - the scent of so many vampires lingered in the air despite the winds and snow, and she knew she would immediatly be identified, given the werewolf scent both her and Alex gave off inamongst so many vampires.

Lestat was the first one to spot the two werewolves who was approaching.
"I think we have company, do you want me to take care of it?" Lestat asked and was ready to take his silver sword out of it's holster, the sword was hidden as a cane that way he would always carry a weapon but without anyone knowing it, it was the same with his brother. Laurant turned around and noticed a female werewolf he had seen before and a male werewolf he had only seen on pictures, a cold smile started to appear on his face.
"No that's alright, brother. You see one of our Nóillión siblings has been so clever to take in this lovely lady who's come towards now, we've long been wanting to have this fine man on our side, he can do a lot of good for us, so Lenard got that brilliant idea to let Hex work on him and well it looks like she's succeeded," Laurant said quietly to Lestat so he was the only one who could hear it. Laurant now turned his head and looked in the direction of Hex and Alex.
"Well if it isn't Lenard's little werewolf friend and I see you've brought someone, who is your friend?" Laurant asked as if he didn't know who the male werewolf before even though he perfectly knew who he was, but Alex didn't have to know that.

As they both approached, her skin tingled as she became aware of eyes on her, and emerging from the shadows, she saw Laurant and his brother both turn to face them. Her heart beat just a little faster now, and making sure Alex was with her, she offered a soft nod to Laurant, and then to Lestat - of course, she wasn't entirely sure which was which so it was best to address them both. As one of them mentioned Lenard, Hex figured that was Laurant, and again offered him a soft nod. "Um, yeah... I spoke to Lenard earlier and he said you were down here on business. This is Alex... Alex, this is..." It was at that point that she hesitated a little - she knew his name of course, but wasn't sure if Alex would know it, whether it would ring alarm bells with him. After all, Laurant and Lestat had been the talk of the town lately. So to play it safe, she would let Laurant introduce himself, to see how he wanted to play this game with Alex. "...our friend's boss, I guess..." Would Laurant keep Alex in the dark with regards to who he was, or would he tell him?

"Alex is having... a few issues at the moment so I thought it would be a good idea if we ... or you... take him under your wing for a little bit, just until he gets things sorted. There's a few guys that need dealing with, for a start. Plus a small amount of Lenard's stuff."

"Laurant Mason and well I can hardly call myself Lenard's boss, but I am his superior, we both answer to someone higher up, so to speak," Laruant said with a smile that actually seemed friendly, he had tried and get into Alex' mind, but he stopped that pretty quick, it was too confusing and the drugs he clearly was on made even Laurant dizzy.
"As for what ever you have going with Lenard is your own business I don't deal with that, but I can help you with the first problem Hex here mentioned," Laurant said and gave Alex a friendly smile.
"What exactly is it you want from me?" Laurant asked, he needed to hear it from the man himself.

Alex knew perfectly well who those two men were as Hex and he got closer, but he kept a straight face, pretending he hadn't seen pictures of them. He still remembered that day where Jake had been at their apartment, where he showed the pictures of the famous twins Laurant and Lestat Bodouar. He was pretty sure Laurant even tried to read his mind, but Alex' mind was so screwed up right now that he doubted Laurant could read that much, for once he was happy that he was on drugs. So when Laurant introduced himself with the last name Mason, Alex didn't move a muscle, he just stared with glassy eyes at the two twins, for a moment he thought he saw double until he realized that Lestat was the other one, so he had finally come to Carpe Noctum.

When Laurant asked what Alex wanted from him, he didn't hesitate even though he was starting to get second thoughts.
"There are these three guys from my past, who've blackmailed me, I want them out of the way, I don't care what happens to them as long they won't bother me or my family and girlfriend again," Alex said and looked straight at Laurant, but he quickly looked down, afraid that Laurant would figure out Alex' true intentions.

Laurant listened patiently to what Alex had to say and when he was finished, Laurant pretended to think over what Alex had said.
"Well Alex, I just might be able to help you out with this, BUT it will cost you and I don't mean money, here I mean work. I would like you to do something for me. I am willing to do my part of the deal, but then I expect you to do the same when I want you to or you won't be able to spend the rest of your life with that little girlfriend you mention or your family. Is that understood? So can you agree on these conditions, if not then I suggest you leave now," Laruant said and now had a business like look on his face, making sure that Alex understood that you shouldn't play games with Laurant. Then the wind changed and Laurant turned his gaze towards the containers near by, he scanned the top of the containers but could see anything. He made a gesture to a vampire who send the gesture on to the guy with the spotlight.
"We have company and this time not of the pleasant type, well you might bet the difference, dear brother," Laurant said and sent his brother a little smile, so far they couldn't see anyone even though the spotlights went over the containers over and over again. Then Laurant started to use his mind and a smile appeared on his face when he came across and all to familiar mind.
"LEONA DARLING, I CAN FEEL YOU!" Laurant shouted towards the containers.

As Laurant spoke to Alex, about his problem, about the price, Hex remained quiet but very on guard - especially when Laurant mentioned that they had company. Her head turned as she looked about, trying to spot whoever it was that was spying, but she couldn't see anyone. However, when Laurant called out her name, a slow smirk rippled over Hex's features - she had never met Leona, but had heard her name mentioned many times. She was a big player in this town, one of the Noillions, like Lenard, but not like him at all. So Hex had gotten right in the middle of something huge, playing this dangerous game with the most wellknown names in Carpe Noctum. Just where she wanted to be... She knew Laurant didn't particularly care for Hex, being a werewolf and all, but she hoped that bringing Alex into the fold would do a little to get in his good graces and would prove her usefulness to him and Lestat.

She started to worry that if Alex knew that Leona had seen him meeting with the twins, then he would panic and run or not take Laurant up on his offer. Leona was sure to run back to the do-gooders of the town to report what and who she had seen and if Alex thought that such information would get back to his family and girlfriend, he wouldn't take the chance and bail. She hoped he wouldn't run. She hoped he accepted Laurant's help. She hoped she was the one to hunt these guys down - after all, it was Hex that had managed to track them down in the first place and organised the emails from them... She loved a good kill, and three big burly men sounded perfect. Thinking of it caused her eyes to spark and dance with darkness. Of course, perhaps it would look less suspicious if it was a vampire attack that got rid of these guys, then it wouldn't be able to be traced back to Alex. She would have to wait and see what Laurant and Lestat had planned for her next. Until they told her, she simply waited quietly like an eager puppy, so keen to cause trouble

Leona had been filming the meeting between the two Bodouar brothers with he camera on her cell phone, but when the presence of two werewolves suddenly appeared, she got quite the shock of seeing Alex. She could perfectly hear the conversation as the wind carried the voices up to her. She kept on filming, she couldn't believe that Alex would do something like this, betray his own family and for what? She had heard of the mysterious disappearance of Alex from Brody himself, about a blackmail and now he wanted Laurant to take care of it.

When the wind suddenly changed she knew things would change, she tried to send the stuff she had filmed to Leo, but the service were down, either it was because of the storm or because they had tampered with the area so no communication could take place. The sound of Laurant's voice reached her like a bucket of cold water and she could start to feel him poking around in her head. She quickly wrote a message on the cell phone and saved it, then she threw it towards Lemar, hoping he would catch it.

Then she stood up on the top of the container and looked down at the crowd, the spotlight quickly moved towards her so she couldn't see them anymore. She jumped into the air and landed with grace on the ground several feet down and started to walk towards the group of vampires and two werewolves. Her gaze moved to Hex and then to Alex before she moved her attention to the two Bodouar twins.
"Sire," she said and bowed respectfully to Lestat before she looked at Laurant, if her heart had been beating it would have been steady, even though she knew what could happen she didn't flinch, she remained her head high and looked like she was just saying hello to old friends.
"Mr. Bodouar, so we finally meet face to face. Although I had an idea of how you would look like, but still it's better to meet people in person than through their minds, don't you think?" Leona said and sent Laurant a cool smile, then she turned her head to Hex.
"Hex DeWinter, I know all about you, it's come to my attention you know my brother," Leona said in a tone that was calm as if it was nice to finally meet one of her brother's friends, then she moved her attention to Alex.
"And Alex, how could you?" Leona said, it happened really fast and wasn't sure if it was something she imagined, but she was sure Alex did something with the eye of his that only she could see. She did something daring and tried to get into Alex' mind, but she felt like she was hit by a wall of confusion and her vision turned blurry.
"Bastard," she said, of course it sounded like she called Alex a bastard, but it was someone else, someone who hadn't told her everything, but she couldn't stop the fact that it was brilliant, but as always her face didn't show any emotion at all, she simply moved her attention back to Laurant.

Lemar watched from the warehouse rooftop as everything unfolded, he was did not like the way things were turning out but he was not about to leave so he just stuck to the shadows of the warehouse knowing that if anything did happen and on the off chance that he was spotted he had the advantage of being able to be gone before anyone knew who it was. he watched as alex showed up and he could see on his sisters face she was not happy.

he didnt move an inch untill he saw something come fling at him, luckly he had vampire reflexs or it would have hit him, it was leona's cellphone with a message telling him to take her phone and leave. he just turned and nodded to her knowing that she probably couldnt see him but he didnt think about that at the time. he just moved further back from the edge not having any intention of leaving untill she did even if it meant getting a stern lecture about not listening to her. he decided he was just gonna sit their and watch everything unfold from the shadows.

The thrill of finally getting Leona lured out of the shadows made him smile a cruel smile, he had to admit that was one fine woman and a shame she still hadn't broken down as he had hoped for, but just perhaps he had the chance tonight. When she stopped in front of Lestat and respectfully greeted him by his title, Laurant couldn't help but comment on it.
"Oh so you still have some respect to your Sire, but I have to admit it's a poor atempt of one," Laruant said in a harsh tone, he still hadn't forgiven this woman for what she had done to their family, the way she had betrayed them by running off and taking her brother with her. As she commented how good it was to finally see him face to face and her little remark about it's better standing face to face than to poke in each other's brains he couldn't help but laugh a cold laugh that would give anyone the chills.
"Well from what I'm seen in your mind you've not been any better than me lately, I knew it was you who would be given this amazing gift of reading minds, who knows just maybe it will involve to manipulating too. Just a shame you're not taking advantage of it. See Hex here for example, the things you find out when you poke around in there without her knowing it," Laurant said and put an arm around her and gave Hex a cold smile, but he quickly let go of her again as if he was afraid of catching something, perhaps flees.

Laurant followed how Leona made a note about the two werewolves and when she called Alex a bastard he couldn't help but say this:
"Now now, don't shoot the messenger. Alexander here has just come to his senses, haven't you Alexander. Something for something, I give you what you want if you give me what I want," Laurant said and looked over at Alex, before he moved his attention back to Leona.
"You do know what happens now don't you. I can hardly just let you leave, besides maybe you want to meet another sibling of yours, I'm sure the lovely Lizette and you will have some fun," Laurant said and gave Leona one of his cold smiles.

Alex nodded slowly when Laurant asked if they had a deal, but he couldn't help but feel like this was perhaps something of the worst thing he had been through, not to mention he could start to feel the drugs not having the same effect on him as only a minute ago, hopefully he could keep Laurant out of the loop for a little while longer, but when Laurant started to mention they had company and later called out Leona's name, Alex couldn't help but flinch a little. What was she doing here? Had Leo sent her to keep and eye on him, if so then she didn't exactly do a very good job. He was even more surprised when it was clear that Leona didn't know about the whole operation, he quickly and without the others seeing it, send her a signal and shortly after he could feel her inside his mind, so it was true, she could do the same thing as Laurant. To make the act believable he stepped back a little when Leona said the word bastard, as if he thought it was meant for him. Laurant apparently liked to hear himself talk as he started to comment on Alex and his little arrangement and Alex just nodded a little while looking down at his feet. He just wanted to get out of here right now, get a shot so he could keep Laurant out of his head, he was pretty sure he could feel someone poke around in there until he knew it wasn't Laurant but Leona. He kept his eyes down, not making any eye contact with anyone, keeping his cool.

As Leona spoke to Laurant, Hex kept quiet, much the same as Alex did. She was very aware that most of the people she was standing with were much better connected than she was right now, and knew it would pay to keep her mouth shut for the moment. However, as Laurant spoke of Leona's gift, of not using it as she should, Hex felt goosebumps rise upon her skin and when Laurant's arm snaked around her shoulders, she felt somewhat uncomfortable for a moment - almost unsure of what he was going to do to her... She had seen him bring Lenard to his knees with only a thought so she hated to think what other talents he had, but she had just brought him a fairly significant prize and so she began to relax some. She heard his words about being able to search her mind without her knowing, and she figured that if that was all she had coming to her, then she was doing alright. He could search in there all he wanted. It was the mind-numbing, agonizing pain she didn't much care for.

It was when Laurant spoke of not letting Leona leave that Hex's eyes lit up once more, and her gaze focused upon Leona, a slow smirk drifting over her lips. Hex almost growled - if she had been in her wolf form, she certainly would of, and felt her whole body tingling with anticipation - like Laurant and Lestat's pet rottweiler, Hex was ready to do any dirty work they required. After all, that was the fun part...

Leona looked at Laurant, she knew perfectly well he wouldn't just let her leave. Not to mention she hoped that if she put her body in the crossfire then maybe Lizette would go at her instead and let the others be, but she could only hope and she knew that right now she was on a suicide mission, but she knew that she couldn't just leave.
"You know what, I actually want to talk to my sister and well if I can't get to do it in any other way that to surrender well then so be it. Maybe I even have a chance to talk to Lenard as well," she said in an unusual briskly voice, then she sent Laurant an overly friendly smile.
"I know what's coming for me and perhaps I deserve it, but I better let you know now, I can't be broken, not the way you want me to," Leona said and this time her friendly smile dissapeared and there was a hint of a threat hidden in her eyes.
"So far you've only won the battles, but you haven't won the war and trust me you won't," Leona said as stepped even closer to Laurant and when she was only a feet away from him it was like she hit a wall, she couldn't move anymore, she laughed so hard.
"You know you play dirty and I respect that, but don't forget who's our Sire. Your brother has thought me a thing or two as well. If you want to turn this into a mind game then fine by me, you'll get it in due time. But mark my words I will get to you sooner or later and I will be able to resist your little hocus pokus," Leona said and now it had such darkness in it that she knew she was about to hit her climax when it came to attacking those around her if she was able to do it, but at this moment Laurant had pinned her to the spot she stood on and she wasn't able to move.

Laurant didn't mind using all the dirty tricks he could and one of them was to control Leona's mind to do what he wanted her to do, so when she started to walk towards him in her usual threatening manner he got her stop, but he didn't really care what Leona had to say, in his mind there would only be one outcome. All the Nóillión family would be under his control, he would get control over this little god forsaken town and his brother would be the new Head Lord before long of that he was certain, a little threat from little Leona didn't touch him one bit.
"My dearest Leona, when will you learn? You tried to run from us once, sure you managed to stay off the grid for what? Over 200 years, but look at you now, sure you've learned some tricks, but you need to be able to use them no matter what and not be dictated by what's right or wrong that won't get you anywhere," Laruant said in a cold voice, then he snapped his fingers and a vampire stepped up behind Leona and injected her with vervein and put a bag over her head and another vampire grabbed her and dragged her over to a black van and threw her in.
"Ms. DeWinter and Mr. Bernstein why don't you step into the limousine we need to talk," Laurant said and opened the door so they could get in, quickly followed by Lestat and just before Laurant stepped into the car he turned around and looked up towards the containers.
"Oh and Lemar, why don't you tell that pretty little sister you have that I'm coming for her next," Laurant said and laughed a cruel smile before he stepped into the car and closed the door and the limousine started to drive away.
"Okay I'm just going to make a little phone call here," Laurant said and took the phone in the limousine and pressed a button.
"Hello Lenard, why don't you take care of Alex' problem? That's good well stop by the warehouse when it's taken care of," Laurant said and ended the call and sent Alex a smile.
"Now Alex I can feel you're starting to get down from what ever you're on, but don't worry when we get to where we're going you'll be able to get a little fix. Now on to business, your problem is about to be taken care of as we speak, now it's your turn to pay back the favor," Laurant said and had a cold smile around his mouth.
"I want you to break into Edward Vladimir's estate and get something for me, well break in is perhaps a bit much. I have a feeling that he would let you in, maybe you were doing a photo shoot for the magazine in other words I want you to go back to your so called normal life, well normal and normal is perhaps a bit much. But mark my words I will be watching you and if you try and do anything I will come and kill you myself and your darling little brother and that pretty little girl you're dating. Not to mention your cousin. Have I made myself clear?" Laurant said and now had a threatening glance in his eyes. Laurant was certain that Alex wouldn't try and do anything foolish if a threat was on his family, just look at what happened when he got blackmailed. Laurant had Alex just where he wanted him, in a leach like a good little doggy. Then he turned his attention towards Hex, this time his smile not exactly turned more mild, but there wasn't the same threat in his eyes as there was when he looked at Alex.
"As for you, you've proved yourself worthy I think we can find a use for you and you will be greatly rewarded for your job. Anything you want, just name your price and I think I'll be able to dig it up somewhere," Laurant said and looked at Hex waiting for her wishes.

She did as Laurant instructed her to do, as did Alex, and climbed into the car before it drove off. Leona was captured, on her way back to the warehouse, where no doubt that other crazy vampire was waiting to carve some chunks out of her. So the Rose Alliance had a trump card now. Long may it last.
Glancing out of the window as Laurant spoke to Alex, about what the price was for dealing with the blackmailers, Hex let her mind calmly drift - she was sitting in a black limo with two of the most powerful beings in this town. Big fish in a small pond. She had always known she was destined to live right in the centre of the action.

Her concentration was broken when Laurant addressed her, telling her he was pleased with what she had achieved, and looking to him, she offered a light nod before softly shrugging her shoulders. "Thanks... But it was never about a reward. I mean, I appreciate it and everything, a lot... All I ask for is to be one of the team, you know what I mean? Werewolf or not. I just wanna be a part of this. I wanna be on your side when it all goes down." She hoped he would understand - it was a big deal to be accepted by anyone, let alone the main figures in this place. In essence, she wanted to be taken under Laurant and Lestat's wing - their loyal puppy. And loyal she would be.

She fell silent until the car arrived back at the warehouse where Leona had already been taken.
