For the last twelve hours, Aine had been hard at work. Perhaps not "work" fitting for a Head Lady, who should have been sitting on a throne and dictating orders to her army or something of the like, but work nonetheless. After her encounter at the museum with the young, albeit stupid werewolf, the petite redhead had gotten in her porsche and driven towards the Vampire's castle. The moment she had crossed out of the human's area, however, she knew something was wrong. Screeching to a sudden halt, Aine got out of her car and vanished into the woods. Flying through the area, silent and undetected, she scouted her territory and took in the unfamiliar scents around her. It was overwhelming -- and quite scary. Only when she got close to the Castle did she realize what was going on: their information for the war date was off by a day. Hissing, she turned her attention away momentarily and began searching for her cell in hopes of contacting Leona. That chance never happened; a blow to the head knocked her to the ground and the phone skidding across the forest floor. After getting over the initial shock of being struck, Aine was on her feet.
Six minutes later, the ambush group of four lay dead.
Needless to say, it took her a good, long while to be able to make it back to her car. By early morning her clothes were near shredded, a large part of her lovely red hair had been lobbed off by a knife, and blood was caked onto her otherwise smooth skin. She'd taken out a surprising amount of nameless, faceless soldiers on her lonesome but no where near enough to make a real difference. When she got back to her car, she was greeted by slashed tires and doors ripped from their hinges. Trying to start it proved futile as well; someone had messed with the engine. Begrudgingly, the Lady began making her way back to the Hills, (she knew that going back to the center of the human's area was probably not the best of ideas. The witches were going to spell that part of the city and she didn't know when, and how that would effect her own vampiric genes).
Getting home proved to not be as useful as she hoped. Her tired body collapsed on the couch for a good three hours and when she forced herself onto her feet, it was only because she'd gotten voicemails from a few individual coven members, explaining the situation thus far. When she heard that her second-in-command Artemys had retreated to her Manor and proceeded to set it up as a hospital, a heavy sigh escaped the Irish woman. Knowing that it was be best to contact her in person, Aine willed herself to rinse down and wash the heavy blood stains from around her mouth and hands. Once she evened off her hair into a bob, (no one, including herself, would guess why she felt the need to bleach it as well) and change into the first thing she put her hands on, (making sure to tuck her hardly-used gun into her belt) she was off to Celestial Rayne Manor.
Upon arrival Aine was flooded with various people slapping her with facts and information -- one particular piece of knowledge making her blood run cold. Without thinking, her slender digits snapped at to grab the one man's collar. "What did you say?"
"L-Lady Artemys and miss Leona were able to save Lenárd Nóillión from the enemy. H-He's resting right now -"
"Where?"
He told her which room he was recovering in and, taken over by the sudden emotions, Aine left them all standing there open mouthed. Instead of heading to see her Seneschal first, her heeled feet were sprinting to see the man she hadn't seen since he pledged his alliance to her, (and his family). And the man who she was desperately trying to hate, to no avail.
In less than a minute she was skidding into the room, surprising the people talking in whispers. "Get out." She growled, eyes trained on the man who, to her, appeared to be sleeping. When no one moved, she added more malice to her tone. "Can't you hear? Wait outside unless you want to end up six feet below." Once she had the room to herself, Aine sunk to her knees next to Lenard's bed and submitted to the feeling of her heart in her throat. Her eyes trailed over his beaten, bruised, and broken body and suddenly, her own breathing became shallow. Her brow dipped and her head followed suit, resting over her hands that had clasped together. "Dia cabhrú linn," she prayed in rapid Gaelic. "Ná seo a dhéanamh. Ní dhéanann sé ag dul dó."

On any regular day, she would've noticed that his slow breathing was not enough to be in dreamland. Instead she was much too wrapped up in her native language, continuing on to recite bible verses and other prayers that she had learned as a young girl all those years ago. For Lenard, for Fahrenheit, for Ailbhe, even. For Lea and Art, and for herself. This whole situation was taking it's toll for by the end of this month, she expected it would be too much and one way or another, it would over take her. Just seeing the dark haired Frenchmen like this was heart wrenching, no matter how much she wanted to deny it. Not surprisingly, his voice made her jump.
"If I didn't know better, I would actually think you cared about me."
Muscles tense, eyes wide, and face heating up, Aine stared at Lenard with a bemused expression. By the time her attention was on him, his eyes closed, and she thought maybe she wouldn't have to respond to the question. Yet when he gazed up at her again, she held her breath.
"Where am I?" he asked, trying to sit up.
"Oh, no, no, no." the Celt scolded. Her hands flew out to force him back down, but his own body beat her to the punch. She winced as he sighed and despite her pride, she lifted herself to sit on the edge of his bed. Keeping her touch feather light, she smoothed a few pieces of his bangs back. "You're at Artemys and her sisters' mansion. They've turned it into a make-shift hospital since the castle is a little...impossible at the moment." Eyes tight, her pale fingers ghosted down the side of his face and as she took in the full extent of his injuries. Her frown intensified. "You'll be alright now that you're here, okay?"

Lenard nodded a little, still with his eyes closed before he looked up at Aine again. "I would love to be a fly on the wall in Alastair's mansion right now, they are bound to know that I'm not dead as they hoped I would be," he said, he could just imagine the normally so calm Alastair have a tantrum. "I thought my days were numbered. Just the last month I just prayed they would kill me already, but they just kept poking at me, cutting me open, turning me inside out, let me heal only to start all over again," he said and closed his eyes as the memories of what he had been put through rushed over him again. He let out another sigh, he hadn't spoken this much in over a month and then the sudden hunger rushed over him, he opened his eyes and looked around. "Is there any blood anywhere, they haven't fed me that much," he said and looked back at Aine.

Aine let out a weak laugh. "I bet you would. Hell, so wouldn't I. That bastard is too cocky for is own good. Luckily, we're the good guys, huh? We'll put him in his place by the end of this." Like Lenard, she could easily picture Alistair's face; despite is suave persona, when he got mad - he got pissed. And for someone like her, watching him throw a fit would be all that much more rewarding.
All the joking was over, though, when Lenard started recount how Alistair and his minions tortured him. The woman blanched and pulled her hand back, fearing that he would see how it was trembling. She didn't want to hear it. She didn't want to picture how they had tore his skin apart and put it back together, then did it again the next day. She didn't want to know the extent of the damage done because if she did, she would probably break the "no crying" vow she had taken after Lenard left her apartment after killing Leo's ex-girlfriend. "Hey," she started as he finished. Forcing her hands still, she lightly touched both sides of his face as if to make sure he was paying attention. She didn't mind when he closed his eyes again and continued. "What did I just say? You're going to be alright now. Thinking about the past is not going to help your future. If you don't focus on getting healed up, how are you going to get your revenge, hm? Surely you don't expect to let him get away with what he did. Or maybe you want me to storm in there and beat his ass in your name?" the last part was a light tease and using her actress talents, she flashed him a bright smile.
"Is there any blood anywhere? They haven't fed me that much."
"What? How do they expect you to recover if they don't..." Grumbling, Aine took a look around and found nothing out in the open. Deciding that if it wasn't sitting out for him, it was doubtful there was any in the room, she pulled her phone from the small purse she had brought, (thankfully she had salvaged it from when she was attacked yesterday). Her fingers easily speed dialed Art's number and she waited until the other end was picked up. Her soprano was rushed and there wasn't time for her Second to respond before she hung up. "Art, it's Aine. I'm with Lenard right now. When you're next available, come down and fill me in what's going on; I haven't been in contact with anyone who has the the whole story... Please bring a bag of blood down with you, too." she glanced at the man by her side briefly. "Human if you can. Thank you. See you soon."
Snapping the phone close and exchanging it with her gun, (that is, putting it in her belt and shoving the hefty firearm in her purse) Aine sighed. "Here," she stated, holding out her wrist near Lenard's lips. "I should have asked how long she was going to be. I know it isn't the best for you in your current state, but you'll have a real, decent meal soon enough. And before you refuse, remember who is in charge here." Purposely, she let another dazzling smile overtake her smug lips.

Lenard stared at the wrist that Aine had presented to him before he looked at Aine with a surprised look. The only times he had been drinking from another vampire was when he was in more private accommodations with them, of course female vampires. He cleared his throat a little, slightly uncomfortable about it, but the next thing his fangs were bared and as he grabbed Aine's arm he stuck his fangs and bit through her wrist. The blood exploded in his mouth, his eyes caught Aine's. The rush that went through him would only last for a short while, but the lust that sudden appeared in his eyes were eminent. Just as sudden he had started drinking from her, just as fast he withdrew and fell back on his pillow and the brief rush of energy that flew through him made him arch his back a little. This was the first time he had done this without being in a rather heated moment with a woman. He licked his lips. "Well that was different," he mumbled, he closed his eyes as he tried to calm down a bit.

Their head strong personalities had clashed nearly every single time they were together, (with the exception of their last encounter. He had been quite serene after killing Elena and sincere when confessing to her. It was Aine that had freaked considerably). Then again, he was exhausted and she...she was feeling generous. That is what she would say, at least. But as it stood, the Lady wanted to show Lenard that she did have feelings for him - that she did care, even if she didn't want to. To see him here in one piece was a blessing. So when he simply gave her a curious look and cleared his throat, she encouraged him. "Come on, then. Don't take all day."
Then his fangs were in her flesh. A low grunt erupted from the mild pain but otherwise, she forced herself to relax. Until her eyes locked on with Lenard's dark ones. Aine could see the emotions that run rampant, hindered his tired body and she half wondered if he was going to overcome his pain just to jump her. Swallowing thickly, the newly-blonde willed herself to look away and found...she couldn't. A part of her didn't want to. Suddenly, her wrist was released and she took a sharp breath, not realizing her lungs had momentarily stopped working. Their eye contact was broken when Lenard let his lids fall again.
"Well, that was different."
A wave of anxiety rolled over the Head. She, too, cleared her throat and turned her face away. "That's an understatement." she mumbled, bringing her wrist to her own mouth. Instinctively she lapped up the remaining blood that trickled from the puncture wounds. "Any better?"

Ever since Artemys was brought to her home from the ruined castle, she was cooped up in her room. The manor was definitely open to the wounded as a hospital but on the request that certain areas, such as hers, her sisters and that Bonnie girl’s room, remained off limits. The only time people went into her room was to change the bandages that were wrapped around her own wounds; more specifically the bullet wound in her shoulder and the large gash across her stomach. Cuts and bruises covered her all over. A clearly noticeable one was the red marks around her neck from when the vampire back in the castle tried to strangle her. Normally, she should have been healed by now being a vampire but seeing as the bullet that wounded her –shot by her own gun- was infused with vervain –and not taken out until she arrived at the manor-, the regeneration process was taking a lot longer than usual. The doctors had done what they could to remove the vervain from her system. It wouldn’t be long until all of it was completely gone but for now she still remained quite weak although she did feel better enough to be walking about; she just chose not to.
The seneschal didn’t sleep a wink. Instead, she lay in bed with her back propped up by a couple pillows, hands neatly resting atop her lap while her mismatched eyes stared out through the window. An apathetic expression featured her scratched up face. Up until now she was still pretty shocked by her unusual crazed behavior back in the castle. It was like some hidden monster inside of her began to show itself, lusting for the pain of its victims. A sigh escaped her lips from the very thought not really wanting to think about it anymore.
Just when the vampiress was going to close her eyes and finally fall asleep, the noisy rings of her phone startled her from its place on the bedside. Lightly glaring at the device momentarily, she groaned in annoyance as she reached over to the loud thing. Eyeing the caller ID, her expression somewhat softened seeing that it was Aine. Clearing her throat, she slid the icon to answer the call and pressed the phone against her ear. But before she had any chance to say anything… at all… the Head Lady spoke away telling the Twilight woman her whereabouts followed by requesting that she inform her of what was going on when she was available and finally that she bring a bag of human blood along with her. Artemys was met with the sounds of silence after a ‘thank you’ and ‘see you soon.’
Sighing once again in the past ten minutes, she decided to just go ahead and meet with her lady having nothing better to do. After struggling for a good five minutes to get out of bed due to her wounds, she managed to steady herself into a standing position. Before heading out of her room, she put on a red bathrobe to cover up her night dress –it was easier for the ones who changed her bandages- and then casually proceeded with exiting into the hallway. It was strange seeing so many people hustling and bustling about the manor given the fact that it was always empty whenever she made her way around her home over the years.
Shortly after gathering a couple human blood bags –one for herself and the other requested by Aine- from the kitchen, Artemys slowly headed to the room where Lenard was resting in. She kept to her own pace, finding it somewhat painful to walk. Some people passing by would ask her if she needed help to which she would politely refuse. Finally reaching Lenard’s room, the seneschal lightly knocked on the door first before twisting the knob and letting herself in. Closing the door shut behind her, she kept herself leaning against the wall for the meantime. "You called milady?" She said to Aine sending her a light smile. Artemys in appearance wasn’t in the worst of conditions like Lenard but she wasn’t exactly in the best either.

After Jack left to fight in the war Sumdyl made his way to celestial rayne manor. he was shocked to see that so many people were hurt, he visited celestial raayne manor on a daily basis for his training. seeing it like this was strange to him he made his way to the back door. he saw that most of the victims were vampires, he started to wish he was human still so he could lett them have some blood, but he did not know what would happen if a vampire drank werewolf blood. he soon made his way inside he saw a woman with a resemblance to reira, he guessed she was artemys.he sw her go into another room. he knew he wanted to help but he did not know what to do. he started to fetch blood bags and started feeding wounded vampires.

Lenard let out a weak chuckle. "It's good for now," he said, but he was already starting the effect of the blood to settle down a bit and the hunger would soon reappear. He lied with his eyes closed for a moment, but when he heard the door he opened them and looked towards who came in and saw Artemys. He couldn't remember if she got injured, in fact he couldn't remember much of how he got out from the castle, he had a faint idea that his sister had been there and then Artemys. His eyes fell on the bags of blood and his eyes were fixated on it. He hadn't had a drip of human blood since he had left the Rose Alliance, every time they had tried to feed him it during his capture he had refused to drink it. A slight smirk spread on his face as he looked at it. He knew Leona wouldn't allow it, but Aine and Artemys didn't know that, besides he needed to get back to his strengths, didn't he. That slight mischievous expression on his face that he usually had when he was about to do something he shouldn't had appeared as his eyes were glued to the blood bags.

A silent sigh heaved from her chest, though this one differed to the ones Lenard had been voicing; for her, it was more evident of relief. "Good." she replied. And in spite of her better judgement, Aine let herself lightly smooth over his black hair once he had closed his eyes. She may not have been admitting it outright but you would've had to have been blind, deaf, and dumb not to realize the motive behind her worry. Ask about it, though, and she'd still gladly rip your throat out. If the Head could be anything, it was stubborn. Besides, with the tangle of having Fahrenheit back recently...it made everything complicated, no matter how tender she was feeling towards Lenard at the current moment. Even Ailbhe was making himself useful - doing what she asked, (spying on the other side. He was a sneaky son of a bitch and could easily do it without getting caught by Alistair's goons. Unfortunately, he could never get close enough to get any significant information) and otherwise giving her the space she needed, (though was making it particularly difficult to ignore him whenever he was around. What with the hair stroking and new lavished gifts from Italy...).
Anyway. In this day, during this exact minute, Aine didn't mind being a little vulnerable, much to her own surprise. But that soon changed as the door open and closed, and her jade orbs took in a very...not so tip-top Artemys. "You called milady? she said, a little smile on her face. Jolting to her feet, the once Celtic redhead crossed the room in seconds and offered her Second a hand.
"Art! Damnú air, what happened to you? Come over here - sit, sit." Hoping to usher her friend into a seat without much of a fight, Aine continued on. "You should've called back and told me you were hurt. I just assumed you got out of the Castle unscathed...I apologize." Grimacing, she relieved her friend of of the blood bags and motioned to the other. "Eat - you'll feel better. Then you can give me your status report. I'm sure a few minutes won't make too much of a difference."
Turning back to Lenard, Aine instantly read his expression and followed his gaze towards the blood. It didn't take a genius to realize that something...mischievous was running rampant through his thick skull. "Oi," she called in attempt to get his attention. Just then, a much more typical Aine peaked through as she cocked a hip and rested her free fist there. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. "What are you smiling about, funny guy? Is there something I should know about this?" She held the bag up to make the point.

She had been shown around by Julia briefly, where things were and the like and she thought she had a fairly good grasp on what sorts of things she would need to do while she was there. After all, she was no doctor or nurse but she would use a wipe and stick on some bandages. As she wandered towards where there seemed to be a fairly strong scent of blood, she heard a famliar voice from a long time ago, and approching cautiously, the scent of vampires surrounded her, a little more that she was used to. She felt a shive run up and down her spine, but as she moved closer, she headed towards the room where Lenard was, seeing his cast and wounds, but he wasn't there alone. Hex looked to the others there. "Um, anything around here I can help with?" Her eyes angled to Lenard and offered him a light smile. "My old partner in crime. So they got you, huh?" She spoke of his wounds from an obvious attack.

Artemys held a steady somewhat sheepish smile as Aine fussed over her. She didn’t say a word to the Head Lady until after she was settled in her chair and when her friend apologized. "Please do not apologize. It is perfectly fine. I needed to get out of my room sometime anyways." She lightly chuckled although the small action did make her wince a little. "And don’t worry about me. I would be lying, of course if I said I was doing fine but I am getting better at least…" The seneschal didn’t want to get too much into the details of what happened.
A polite smile graced her lips as Aine handed back one of the blood bags to her. "That was plan." She remarked feeling the burning hunger for blood returning to her throat. Wasn’t long before the bag was about halfway gone. She was parched after all. As she sipped hungrily from the bag, her thirst immediately being quenched, she observed Lenard for a moment when Aine addressed a question to him. Narrow eyes stared at him, as she recognized that familiar mischievous expression. Artemys pulled away from the bag for a moment and licked her lips. "Looks to me like you’re feeling better… Already back to the old self?" She said unenthusiastically before bringing the bad back to her lips and finishing up what blood was left in it. His attitude change certainly astonished her as she recalled how he acted back at the castle.
When the door opened and a werewolf entered -she seemed to know Lenard-, Artemys shook her head lightly as the she-wolf offered to help. "Not with this one here, if that is what you were implying." She gestured apathetically over to Lenard. "But seeing as you know him, you are more than welcome to keep the ‘patient’ company when the Head Lady and I discuss important matters." She was already finished with her ‘meal’ and needed to speak with Aine anyways.

Lenard managed to get his eyes of the blood bag and moved them to Aine. "I thought you wanted me to get well, so give me the bag," he said, and gestured to her to give it to him, but when the door opened and a face he hadn't seen in a while a dark smirk spread on his face. "My my, who have we here?" he said and then he looked that she had changed a bit since he last saw her. He narrowed his eyes a bit. "Either you've gained a few pounds or you've been knocked up," he said and as Hex referred to his injuries he shrugged his shoulders a little. "Well you know me, I like living life rough, which is completely different from you. I sure hope that making out session underneath the chateau hasn't caused that on you," he said with a slight chuckle. He was like a changed man after Hex had walked in, maybe it was an effect she had on him and he perfectly knew that nothing would happen with him kissing Hex, but either way he glanced a little towards Aine. It wasn't because he meant anything by it, but he tended to have a certain tone around Hex.

Her dark little smirk grew a little wider when Lenard noticed her presence, and throwing a brief not-too-friendly smile to Artemys, still very aware f just how many vampires she was surrounded with, her focus returned to Lenard. Moving closer to him, she chuckled a ittle when he mentioned she had put on a little weight, shrugging lightly. "I think we would have had to do a lot more than just kiss for something like this to happen. Besides, how do you know I don't live my life rough? If I wasn't knocked up, I'd be out there on the front line, taking vampires like you apart, Lenard." She moved to his bedside and glanced over him - it felt good to be back in old company, especially company who knew about and shared her not-so-wonderful past. The Rose Alliance would always bond these two. "If I recall correctly, it was you who introduced me to my rather wilder, rougher lifestyle. I heard what Laurant did to you after you left the Alliance." She was suddenly more aware that perhaps mentioning that she used to be part of the organization that was tearing through the town probably wasn't such a good idea.

"I would have simply come to your room if I knew. I may be your boss of sorts, but I'm also your friend, Art. You have permission to call me back and tell me "no." ...Well, in matters such as this." She waved her hand back and forth, as if to dismiss the issue. It wasn't often that Aine would ever give people permission to defy her, but she knew well enough that her seneschal wouldn't take advantage of such a thing. She was one of the few people the former redhead trusted anymore.
A smile turned up her sullen lips as Artemys agreed that drinking had been her plan of action. With a nod of conformation and a light pat on her friend's shoulder, Aine turned her attention back to Lenard. Of course he was being cheeky, (obviously he was feeling better - even Art took notice and decided to poke fun) and if she had been given a chance, the petite woman might have laughed. May have laughed and handed over the back with only minimal sarcasm. However, when the stench of wolf filled the room, she turned to see a blonde woman she had never met before. It was clearly the opposite with Lenard, though, and the two of them quickly engaged in conversation.
"My old partner in crime. So, they got you, huh?"
"Well you know me - I like living life rough, which is completely different from you. I sure hope that making out session underneath the chateau hasn't caused that on you." She assumed that he was talking about the earlier mentioned "few pounds." At first, she simply seemed started but soon after, Aine's good mood turned sour. Lips pursed and eyes narrowed at both Lenard and Hex, she raised her chin and tossed the bag of blood next to the bed-bound man, (while she was clearly annoyed, she had enough sense to not cause Lenard more pain by throwing the bag at him). She sniffed in distaste and turned her back on the pair.
"Whenever you're ready, Art. He's clearly comfortable; we can step outside to talk if you're up for it." Crossing her arms loosely, she refused to even shoot another glare over her shoulder.
Harsh and unfounded: ah, feminine jealousy.

Hex was very aware of the number of vampires around her, and as they had never been her favourite species to be around, she would remained fairly vigilant, despite this being a place of healing and care. She smirked a little as one of the vampires seemed to take her presence as an insult and tossing a blood bag to Lenard, she quickly turned and headed off, making some smart remark about Lenard being comfortable, presumably to get at her. Once the woman had gone, Hex returned her gaze back to Lenard, taking another quick look over him. "Already I'm making friends..." Her words were playful and sarcastic and she motioned over towards where Aine had gone. "So how is the battlefield looking, Lenard? I mean... We both know what Laurant is capable of, the power he has in that mind of his. He can cut people down to their knees with a thought. I've felt it. So have you. If he wanted to, he could find us both right now. He could destroy this town without moving a muscle. Are we going to even come close to stopping him?"

No matter how much you tried to change Lenard, he would always have that bone in him that got him into trouble. After all he wasn't the black sheep of the family for nothing. Either way he smirked a little as Aine left his room, but he did look after her and it was clear that he was very much interested in her and when he and Hex were finally alone he tried to make himself more comfortable and took the blood bag. He tore the bag open and started to drink, but as Hex started to ask questions about Laurant he looked at her and stopped drinking, licking his lips a little. "Yeah we are going to stop him and he can't destroy the town on his own, he would go poof if he tried that, but he can make sure that a lot of the vampires on their side won't get a scratch on them," he said, and finished his blood bag, he could do with one more. "MORE BLOOD IN HERE!!!!" he called out through the open door hoping that someone would hear him. "Don't tell anyone that I shouldn't be drinking this stuff, after my sister took me back I had been living on animal blood, but I have to say, human gives a better kick," he said with a dark smirk. Then he looked at her stomach. "So is there a guy attached to that bump or has he run off or you left him or something?" he asked as his smirk grew a little, his eyes were slightly red after he still felt the impact of the human blood, he just hoped that his sister wouldn't show up.

Hex noticed the look that Lenard gave Aine as she left and smirked, not seeming too bothered when he began tucking into the blood bag. After all, she herself would love to be tucking into nice fresh human meat but it usually required killing a human first and she had been warned off such high-profile activities. "Don't worry, I'm not gonna mention it to anyone. I get the feeling I'm not the most welcome person around here with all you bloodsuckers hanging around." Lenard had a habit of pulling out that darkness within her, and her look had become more mischevious as he motioned to her bump. "Yes there is a guy attached to the bump. He's out on the front line, fighting. Jackson Moonlight. Actually, we're married." It would seem that Hex had settled down since last Lenard had seen her but her wild side was still very much intact. "So that vampire chick from before... Does she know you want her?" She referred to Aine.

Lenard raised an eyebrow when Hex said she was married. "Jeez you've been busy," he said with a chuckle as he looked at her with his still red glowing eyes, but they were starting to settle back to the usual grey ones. When Hex asked if Aine knew about his feelings there came a slight different expression on his face A somewhat softer one. "Yeah, she does. She's the reason why I got bad terms with the alliance. They wanted me to kill her, I couldn't. So my brother's girlfriend at the time decided to take on the job instead, but I managed to stop her in time," he said as he looked at Hex. "Gosh it good to see you again, we seriously need to do some stuff together, after I've gotten out of this place and when you are more presentable. So that husband of yours, is he up to anything?" he asked, to be more precisely he asked if he was as bad as Lenard and not afraid of getting his hands dirty in something not so legal.

Hex chuckled when Lenard mentioned she had been busy - she had, of course. The last time she had seen Lenard, she was with Alex when he was in the middle of his drug craze. So much had changed since then. When he explained that the Alliance had wanted Lenard to kill someone he cared about, Hex nodded lightly. "I guess it's a habit of theirs. The first person they wanted me to kill was easy. The Vindicator Vampire. But the second one was my brother. I thought about it. I came really close to pushing him off a roof. But I couldn't. I guess they don't like their orders being disobeyed." She smirked some and nodded when he suggested they should do something, but lifted an eyebrow when he said only when she was more presentable. "And by that, am I right in assuming you mean once I've dropped the pup I'm carrying?" Even though Lenard was injured, still she slapped him on the arm. "As for my husband, he's not exactly a goody-two-shoes. He works for Leona a little in ALF. So do I, kinda, but he's kind of a trouble-maker." She smirked thinking about Jack's wild ways. "So this stuff we're gonna do, what exactly did you have in mind?" Her eyes turned a little darker, a little more mischevious.

Lenard moaned a little when Hex slapped him, but shortly after he sent her a big grin. When she asked what stuff they would be doing he shrugged his shoulders a little. "I don't know, what ever comes along," he said. Then with a bit of difficulty he moved a little closer. "You sure you can't drop that guy of yours and we can run off together?" he said with a mischievous smile and in a very flirtatious way. He couldn't help but tease her a little, he even gave her a little wink. "I mean what does he have that I don't have?" he said and gave her a playful look. That was Lenard in a nutshell, of course if Aine had been around he wouldn't have pulled off that stunt and yet maybe he had, just to get some kind of reaction from her.

When he moved closer and asked if she couldn't just ditch Jack, Hex chuckled but hid it well, before she finally leaned in just a little closer to him, enough so that he would hear her words which had turned a little lower, a little darker. "How about.. body heat? And a pulse... And half my soul..." She smirked some - Lenard was the one vampire she could stand to be around, and just like he tended to be a little flirtatious with her, it was the same the other way around. Lenard was the friend she should be staying away from, that would no doubt lead her into trouble. "If Jack knew you were suggesting that I scamper off with you, Lenard, there's not a big enough blood bag in thr world that would save you. He's incredibly possessive and protective of me and his unborn child." Her proud smile was hidden behind a mischevious smirk but it was there - she loved how Jack got around her when he thought another guy was hitting on her or getting too friendly. Territorial. "Besides, if you and me ran off together, I think that vampire chick would be a little disappointed." She motioned over her shoulder to where Aine had gone.

Lenard let out a disappointed sigh and as she mentioned Aine he smiled a little. "Good point," he said leaned back on the bed, but not taking his eyes off Hex. "I never thought you would join ALF, I mean I wouldn't join ALF if I hadn't seen my Sire's true colours and felt his wrath," Lenard said looked towards the casked leg. "But I have to say, I hadn't imagined my sister would take me back after all I've done, but I guess no matter you screw up your family will always be there, I've learned that, I still don't like Lea very much, she's still this arrogant, stuck up sister who thinks she's oh so powerful and important," he said, but then he sighed a little. "I have five siblings and none I'm really close to, although my youngest sister as been rather nice to me, no matter how annoying I can be," he said with a smile.

When he talked about family, it played on her mind a little. She missed Jackson when he was out fighting, she missed him terribly and especially now that she was pregnant, her hormones were all over the place and sometimes she needed his support. Her eyes lowered a little and she smiled to Lenard. And then her mind went to her brothers, Alex and Brody. She had been a pain to them lately, with Jack turning Sumdyl, with lying in court to protect Jack, and although Alex had been a little cold to her, they had still treated her as their sister. "When it comes to ALF, we're not exactly sitting in meetings... Jack and I are out on the steets, taking out vampires from Laurant's little army. The key players. Like Leona's private hitmen. Not so much anymore..." Her hands went to her swollen stomach with a smile.

Lenard looked at her for a moment, there was something different about her. Back then it was like he was with someone who didn't care about a thing, she just went her own ways, but now it was like something had changed. "You've changed, I'm not saying in a bad way, I don't know there's a more grounded side of you, if you can call it that," he said, even though he hadn't spent a lot of time with Hex, then he was pretty good at reading people. She still had that thing about her and yet there was something different.

Lenard's words made her smirk a little and she offered a shrug as half her answer. "Maybe I've just grown up a little more. Maybe now I have things in my life that are worth protecting. Before, I didn't. I mean, all I had was me. Now I have a whole family, brothers, sisters-in-law, pup on the way. Before I would be up for anything, no matter how dangerous or stupid it was. Now, I've got people around me that I don't want to disappoint or leave." Her eyes were soft now, but after a moment, she smirked that same dark, playful smirk she used to have. "Of course, I still have my moments. I'm still proud of all the wicked stuff I've done back when I was in the Alliance... The vampire I killed for example. It was a masterpiece... It took so much effort just to get near the guy, that it made the kill all the sweeter."
