connection (Aine) - Posted By Sumdyl Moonlight (sumdyl) on 31st Jul 11 at 4:08pm
Sumdyl the 15 year old werewolf who was human three weeks ago was looking for his friends befor ethe war started. he was in the museum to see if he could find fahrenheit. he missed him and the museum is where he first met Fahrenheit. he met fahrenheit when he was human so he wondered if the vampire would be suprised, probably not though. "FAHRENHEIT! WHERE ARE YOU?" he screamed and then a man shushed him. he complied since he wanted to search the museum a little longer. he suddenly felt depressed seeing that fahrenheit was not coming. he wanted to see fahrenheit again badly. he just sat down on the floor in the lobby waiting to see if he would come in the near hour.

She could not think of one good reason to be here. At a stupid museum, by herself, and with only a single weapon that was only effective against werewolves strapped to under her skirt. As Aine stared at a horrible piece of "Modern Art," (for God's sake, it was paint splattered on a canvas! A toddler could produce the same caliber of "art." She longed for the days of marble sculptures that took decades to complete and her beloved medieval oil panting. If she by some miracle survived the next month - which was highly unlikely - she'd have to pay an overdue visit to The Louvre) she couldn't help but feel as if she should be back at the castle, sharpening swords and axes, and whatnot. They were on the brink of war - the town verses Alistair and his goons - and although the Nóillión children had done a decent job with taking charge of the situation, Aine couldn't help but feel angry with them. She had so little part in what was to come, the redhead barely understood what she was supposed to do come morning.

Maybe that is why she had slipped out unnoticed to her Coven. As Head Lady, she felt like a failure and in this final hour, she felt like she needed to brood alone. But really, what had she been thinking? She should've gone to her beloved theatre instead of here.

Yet always a believer in fate and His planes for even the immortal beasts on His earth, Aine half wondered if there was a particular reason she was here. Her heel-clad feet continued on and her jade irises scanned the horrid work lining the walls, no immediate intention to leave in her body. Her thoughtful pacing only came to a stop when a scream pierced the tranquility of the building.

"Fahrenheit, where are you?"

The mere name alone made the Celt stumble and blanch uneasily. Swiftly, with eyes wide and senses on high alert, the petite vampiress turned to pinpoint the person who had been quieted by a nearby patron. To her surprise, the smell of Wolf hit her nose and instantaneously, a frown flickered across her face. With the stealth she was known for, Aine trailed a few yards behind the boy, (for he wasn't any older that eighteen. Or at least, had been turned extremely young) and stopped in the room over from the lobby to observe his actions. In defeat, the kid sunk to the floor and simply sat there -- and for some reason, this irked the Lady. Who was this child, thinking he was more sad that she was. Thinking he could bring back her beloved Fah, (but we'll skip her complicated love life for now) when she, who he recently admitted to loving, could not keep him in sight for more than a few hours? Quietly, (with the exception of the 'click, click, click' sound her shoes made on the tiled floors) Aine crossed the lobby with long strides until she loomed, (which was pathetic given her whole five feet, four inches - with her boots) only a foot away from his form.

Her expression was blank but the depths of her green eyes were constricted with emotion. Whether it was annoyance or heart-break all over could not be discerned. "I don't know what business you 'av wi' 'im," Aine started, her voice low and lethal. "but obviously, my Lord", (notice the stress on "my,") "is not 'ere. If you 'av somethin' ter discuss wi' Fahrenheit, you can discuss it wi' me."
There she stood, completely motionless, eyes boring at the young wolf, and the air around her expecting.

The boy was unphased by the vampire. he actually smiled she had an air around her similar to fahrenheit's so he thought she would know where he was. "Well i miss him. i want to see him before the war starts in case i don't make it." he stated. he wondered if the woman knew where fahrenheit was. "Do you know where he is? if so could you tell me, Please?" he stated. he then paused knowing how rude he was. he stood up and bowed out of courtesy. "sorry, i forgot to introduce my self, my name is Sumdyl, i got distracted by the fact you knew Fahrenheit."he spoke bluntly wanting to see if she would tell him where Fahrenheit was. his hands were held together as if he was about to pray for her to tell him. a patron shushed him again.

He smiled. At her, while she was practically bleeding tensity. Was he stupid? The fashionista's eyes flashed angrily but otherwise, only her fists curled in response. She waited, (somewhat) patiently for the boy to voice his answer and when he did, she nearly laughed in contempt. He missed Fah? Well woopty-freakin'-doo, join the club. "You're not de only one, sprog. Sorry te' tell you, but there is nearly no chance av 'im bein' back before the war." If there was, Aine would have been back at the Vampire's Castle, faithfully on the front step, waiting for him. Of course, being out in the open like that was a horrible idea, but sue her. She was quite in love iwth the Asian decent vampire, (along with a Frenchmen, but she had a hard time admitting that even to herself). "So why don't ye' just --"

"Do you know where he is? If so, could you tell me, please?" Inwardly, Aine gaped at the audacity this little guy held. In the short pause, she carefully planned a rude and witty retaliation for him, only to have the wolf go on. ]"Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Sumdyl; I got distracted by the fact you knew Fahrenheit."

Only to hold up her lady-like expectations did Aine produce the tiniest of curtsies. However, her orbs remained narrowed. "Aine O'connor, 'ead Lady 'av the Vampires in Carpe Noctum." She introduced, her throat tight and eyes trailing the boy's pleading gestures. Her earlier mask melted into one of distaste and a bitter laugh left her lips. "If i knew where 'e was, don't you think I would've dragged 'is sorry arse back 'ere by now? I 'aven't seen 'im since June 'n if 'e's been back since, 'e 'asn't shown 'imself to me."

When She said she was the head lady the boy was unphased. he remembered the first time he met Fahrenheit, fahrenheit lied to him and said he was a fledgeling. "i last saw him at viniculum unitatis, but i have not seen him ever since i was human." he stated. he wondered if fahrenheit still expected him to drink poison. he was used to fahrenheit not want him to treat him like a head so he would not know what to do in front of the head lady. h e really lost site of the similarity between this woman and fahrenheit. jack had warned him to not trust people but at the word fahrenheit he instantly forgot the warning. "this is the place where we first met so i came to look for him here." he stated looking at the hallways. " i am sorry you can't find him, i just know he will return some day. i can't wait to see his shadow again" he said with a smile and large amounts of hope could be found within his eyes.

Well, no wonder this kid was being disrespectful. He hadn't learned the ropes yet; even if you were a wolf in the presence of a Head Vampire, (or vice-versa, a vampire in the presence of an Alpha) you acted as if you were in front of your own leaders. Despite the long standing dispute between the two races, Aine was on fairly good terms with both Lucian and Serena, so both the wolves and the vampires were generally civil to one another. Neither group of Leaders wanted to see the other offended by something a stupid pup, (or neonate) did. And having the personality she did, Aine got offended, (frustrated, angered, etc., etc.) easily. The Lady held her head high and flicked her loose hair back over her shoulder, her usual superior, queen-like attitude coming into play. "To be 'onest, I couldn't care less where you saw 'im last unless it 'elps me fend 'im."

The boy went on and flashed her a smile that only could be described as optimistic. To this, the Irish vampire frowned further and crossed her arms over her chest. "You really are a naive creature, aren't you?" She pursed her lips and let an extended pause, debating on her next choice of words. "I 'av known Fahrenheit for years. 'e an' I are more involved wi' each another than you 'ill ever 'ope to be. If there is one thin' I know about that man, it's that 'e's like the wind itself. Even if 'e comes back, 'e'll leave again an' the process av wonderin' where 'e is 'ill repeat itself." Her expression became somewhat vague as Aine remembered all the worrying over his safety and the feeling of her heart being ripped out when he came back, kissed her, then left again. That was just her curse, she supposed. It wasn't enough that she was forced to feed on the blood of other's, but she would always be left by those she cared about. Feeling her wall crack, the Head promptly turned on her heel, so she was facing the other way. "I suggest you get yourself some other lads to 'ang around. I loved that man and 'e left 'nyway. 'e's oi certainly not goin' to be comin' back just for you." With that, Aine began to march back into the exhibits.

When She called him naive he gave a confused look. he started to follow her as she walked off. "Why are people afraid to cry?" he asked. the question made no sense but to him it was needed. "i am Naive true, and that quality has gotten me in trouble and i like it that you see that. When can we meet again? " he said his smile was pure. "i like you. i don't mind it if you hate me, i am fahrenheit's opposite after all. honestly i hate myself as well." he decided to expose his thoughts. he was still smiling. "what will it take for me to put a smile on your face?" he stated the woman uplifted him from his earier depression . "thank you" he said. he knew she would not know why he said it but he meant it.

"Because other people take advantage av their tears." She mumbled under her breath, continuing on as if the boy wasn't following her. She was seriously starting to regret approaching the little pest, especially if he was going to be keeping this up. Eyes trained forward and her steps quick, she tried to ignore the words being fired her way. Only when he asked if they could meet again did she screech to a halt and turn to face Sumdyl. "You're more daft than I took you for!" She hissed, not easily taken by the smile of a child - or any smile, for that matter, (except maybe Kelvin's, before that whole deal). While she didn't exactly answer the purposed question, Aine still pressed on, determined to lose the wolf one way or another.

When she slowed down to examine a more favorable landscape portrait - a lovely sunset over a rolling green hills, which reminded her of Europe - Sumdyl seemed to be more intent on asking her questions. Growling softly, the woman ran a pal hand through fiery red locks and slowly turned to face her "companion." With the same hand, she pointed an accusing finger at him - something she didn't normally do, as it was rude. "Look," she stated plainly. "I don't care if you're conceited. I don't care if you want to aff yerself the-morra. You're...what? No older than twenty, by the way yer act. Not to mention you're a furry species I don't make a 'abit av befriendin'. For you to make an old, narky woman like me smile is impossible." Granted, she didn't look like a cranky woman nearing her two-thousandth birthday. "You 'av nothin' to thank me for, so why don't you go play in the sandbox before the big 'ay tomorrow, aye?" Waving him off, she began to walk back towards the way she came. Perhaps going to the Castle to dwell in her thoughts would be better.

"with every word some one says to another, something changes that is why i said thank you." he called out. "HAVE A GOOD DAY, I HOPE WE MEET AGAIN!" he called out with a smile. he truly liked that woman even though she hated him. he then wondered to himself. "does she feel pain when some one is kind to her?" he asked himself. he thought the only reason fahrenheit liked him was because he was so daft. he liked the woman because he knew that if he died she would not cry, she was the only person that he could not make sad, she was the only one who was not sorry for him, and that is why he liked her. he liked her because she would not be sad for him if he died.

As Aine strolled away, she could hear the boy continue. What he was refering to, she could not say. Either something too wise for someone his age or complete nonsense that she shouldn't have even bothered listening for. Given the streak already, she was guessing the latter. Finally, when she crossed into the lobby, he called after her, "I hope we can meet again." Giving a one armed wave and refusing to look back, she replied, "Don't count on it, laddie." With the Vampire's Castle as her next destination in mind, Aine skimmed across the room and out the exit, secretly hoping the optimistic, hopeful boy wouldn't have his world crushed come August first. The world had too many negative people like her.
