it was the middle of the day and sumdyl just felt a urge to come back to the lake. Sumdyl knew his hunches oftenly caused him trouble but he never ignored his senses. Sumdyl had a poor sixth sense at many times which often caused him to be put in tight situations such as how he got stabbed on the arm by a vampire because he trusted it to much. Even though he gets hurt for trusting people he wasn't going to stop. when he got near the water a bear appeared on the scene running torwards him it looked like a full grown adult. Sumdyl did not react fast enough before it bit his arm. "what did i do to deserve this" he said trying not to react to the pain. with his other hand he tried to grab the bear but it only pressed on forcing him to fall into the water. he was mostly in the water and the bear still hang onto his arm blood started to drip into the water. "please let go, i am not invading your territory" he asked the beast sumdyl's head almost under water. Sumdyl kept from acting wildly to try not to make the beast more angry. the tactic did not work it would not let go.

Running through the woods as he usually did he thought he would stop by the lake for a swim. Skidding to a halt he saw a human in the grip of one of the forest's feared bears. These bears were much wilder than most as they had to compete with the wolves and vamps for food along with the natural competitors. getting a good footing he released a fearsome growl and watched as the bear let go of the boy and turned to face him. Being almost the same size as the bear it was very hesitant to make the first move so he did. Stepping forward he growled louder and fiercer as he got closer. He stared directly into the bears eyes. RUN HOME LITTLE ONE.... He thought as he continued growling. He shot a glance into the woods, gesturing for the bear to leave or die. He watched as the bear straightened and let a growl loose. He growled slightly and planted his feet. Readying himself the bear charged. As the bear came close he lowered himself and bit down into the bears right front leg, ripping the bear off its path and into the air. The bear landed hard as he let go and rolled to a stop. He raised his snout and let a blood-curdling howl loose from the depths of his being. He stepped forward and the bear leaped to its feet, turned and limped off into the woods. Shifting he looked back at the boy, who was now standing in the water, "You alright?" He asked softly as he walked calmly over to the boy. Finally recognizing him he smiled, "Sundyl... man you gatta be careful around here. These bears are the fiercest in the world... No joke..." He said sadly.

Sumdyl watched as titus forced away the bear and then saw him shift to his human form. he got up from where he was pressed in the water and felt glad to see titus. he was holding where the bear bit him he was still bleeding. "yeah my sixth sense is less than average so of course i would get attacked by a bear" he admitted to Sky with a smile. he was wet from the bear attack. His arm had the bears bite mark deep within it he ignored the pain so Sky would not worry. Sumdyl was not really scared of anything too much that is why he was ready to go into the forest even with out a weapon. "Thank you, i have not had the best luck lately but i have a feeling that is going to change soon i might be wrong seeing as i have a poor sixth sense" he said smiling trying to resist the pain of the bear bite. he was refering to the many slash marks and the stab mark on his arms

He smiled and stepped closer, "That bear had a nice grip on your arm let me look." He said calmly as he knelt next to Sundyl. Grabbing his arm gently, he examined the bite closely. It could easily get infected so he might as well use some of his healing powers. He touched the center of the wound gently and watched the blood work in double-overtime, at 400x the speed it would normally. He stood and smiled, feeling his energy decrease he shifted and stumbled over to the lakeside and lapped the water happily. He turned and went to Sundyl's side, sitting and panting happily.

Sumdyl could feel the blood in his body accelerate, it partially stung but he just kept smiling for sky. his pain started to relieve from the accelerated healing . "Thank you, sky" Sumdyl suddenly remembered how Leco told Sky that he knew where Sumdyl's parents were in a attempt to spare himself at the hospital, Sumdyl knew this was a lie and thought he should tell sky. "Sky leco lied, my parents are dead, they died in a fire." he told the wolf with a sadder impression. now in the shallow part of the water Sumdyl sat down. he leaned his head on the wolf form of sky a little .

His eyes went wide when he heard the words. Hmmm.... in that case Leco will not be spared.... I will take the pleasure of killing that little bastard.... He thought to himself. A look of dismay strewn across his wolfy face as he looked upon the now quiet forest. He looked slightly as Sundyl rested his head on him. He smiled and his tail wagged a little, and slowly came to a stop as he focused again on the forest and his surroundings. The water was cool and soothing to his heat problems... fur generated much heat and now he could feel the coolness of the night.

Sumdyl was comforted by sky's presence. Sumdyl saw Sky smile he liked to see sky happy. sumdyl was glad to see that he could make soome one feel happy. Sumdyl remembered how he was not able to protect himself against the bear or leco or the vampire in the mountains. he looked at his other arm there was a large sore where the vampire had stabbed him, the injury was still healing. he remembered when the arrow that made the sore was pressed into him." I feel pathetic i can't even protect myself let alone others" he said in dismay. Sumdyl had been hiding his emotions from most people he felt comfort from sky and needed to let out some of the pain so he chose to tell him the truth it was also out of sense of respect he held torwards him. the water kept him cold which made him have a slight shiver. Sumdyl wondered where he was going to sleep for the night. he could no longer go to his home in the woods now that rogue vampires new where it was. he got his head back up and contemplated on his future.

He turned slightly, eyes full of compassion and understanding. Whining a little he got Sundyl on his feet and out of the water. He knelt slightly and look back at Sundyl then glanced at his back, gesturing for him to get on his back. He projected his thoughts, Get on, keep your feet hugged close to my sides and wrap your arms around my chest... and hold on tight... He thought, looking back towards his objective, his cave... He knew Sundyl needed somewhere to hunker down for the night and knew he would easily be comforted by the wolves of his pack and the company of others... Being a werewolf he knew when trouble was coming... This was his territory and not a single foot was to be placed on it without acceptance of it first. He smiled and looked back again at Sundyl.

Sumdyl saw Sky's gestures and partly understood them. Sumdyl stood up and took a look around to make sure he wasn't beng followed, the cost was clear at least to his eyes. His sixth sense was extremely weak but he could read what would happen next was something good. it was easy for sumdyl to get on the wolfs back due to sky's size being almost larger than a bear. He placed his arms around the chest of the wolf and held on tight prepared for a speed that would be even faster than the one sky first guided him with through the forest the other day. Sumdyl was ready for what ever would happen next. the wind started to gather spreading a cool chill. "thank you, i am ready" he said feeling happy that Sky was compassionate and understood him without Sumdyl ever having to tell him he was in trouble

A wide smile grew across his face as he waited for sumdyl to get on. Now he gets to see my speed.... He thought. He remembered the speed of the wind as he ran almost every time he ran... He thought for a second and decided to warn him. Sumdyl... dig your face into my fur... the wind's speed gets really bad when I run and I don't want you to get hurt by a simple run... I don't think I'd forgive myself... He projected, a sad tone portrayed his feelings near the end. He braced himself as Sumdyl did the same. When he felt the hot breath of Sumdyl on his back he sent himself into the air quickly. Running faster and faster with each step, he gained incredible speed and was bursting through the woods, almost untraceable but by the wind he produced. Thundering through the woods he sounded like a herd of wild bison. Running up and over the hill to his cave and began to slow himself. He slowly came to a trot and stopped at the mouth of the cave. Here we are Sumdyl... You'll be staying with us for the night, and maybe more if you'd like.. He projected happily as he looked down from the cave entrance at his family who were gathered around the fire.

Sumdyl did what he thought Sky gestured. He could feel the wind speed as if he was paper barely holding on being threatened with the idea that he would fly away from the speed of the wind. his arms held on tightly knowing the consequence of a short grip. Even though the wind was life threatning he liked it, it felt good and gave a slight anxiety rush it even made him smile. he could feel his wound from before stop bleeding due to the pressure placed on him by the wind. "This is incredible" he thought to himself .When they stopped at a cave in the woods with a fire inside the cave sumdyl made a smile He understood Sky's gestures. "i would like that" he admitted with a smile as he felt the pressence of those he already knew and those new to him. Sumdyl felt slightly shy he hardly knew why but he kept his head up and felt extreme amounts of joy from all of their pressences.

Dastan had been more than joyful lately, so he had taken his horse out for a ride and more training. When the horse started getting tired and lazy, he thought that they should call it a day, so Dastan could gallop through the forest and back to the cae using the horse's last but of energy. And he absoutely wouldn't forget to him a drink and a brush. Dastan and Aksh galloped through the forest, dodging all obsitcles in their way. Once they had arrived at the cave, the big Friesian came to an immediate halt, in a very disciplined way. Then Dastan parked Aksh by his tree and hopped off to see that a friend was visiting. The strange unusual Dastan ordered the horse to stay and walked over to Sumdyl and Titus. "Sumdyl my dear friend..." He gave Sumdyl a big friendly hug before noticing that his arm had been mauled by something quite large. "Lord, what happened to your arm?"

Sumdyl gavea sigh while smiling when he saw dastan's concern. "like ussual my weak sixth sense got me in trouble, this time it was a bear that i failed to avoid, but every thing is alright now so you don't need to worry. it is nice to hear that i am dear too you dastan." he said with a smile now standing beside Sky's wolf form. He felt dastan's and sky's kind embrace around the area. Sumdyl was able to feel safe around dastan. he took dastans hand and looked at it. "it is also good to see that the wound you got from the ruins is healed." he said with a smile paying more attention to dastan's hand then his own arm. He could still remember how dastan got cut while watching over him.

He shook his head and rolled his eyes as Sumdyl mentioned his weak sixth sense getting into trouble once again, this time, with a bear. "Well, try to look after yourself in the future. You poor thing, how many bruises and scars and unhealed cuts do you have now?" He let out a small chuckle. Dastan continued to smile as Sumdyl examined his hand. "Yes, it healed quite quickly, no problems at all..." He raised his eyebrows. Then he glanced down at Titus who was still in his wolf form, then back to Sumdyl. "Lucky Titus came along." Dastan grinned. He hadn't really socialised with the pack for quite some time.

He smiled and sat, wagging his big bushy tail and listening to the two engage in friendly conversation. He shifted, "Ya know, I oculd have all of those cuts and gashes healed... all you gatta do is ask..." He said with a smile to both of them, "Good to see ya again Dastan, where've you been?" He asked curiously as he knew Dastan care not about the pack's curfew, and really he didn't himself either. He smiled again, resting a hand on Dastan's shoulder. "Come old friend let us get dinner, Sumdyl join us for the night!" He said turning to Sumdyl, smiling. He turned quickly and walked down, into the cave to greet the rest of his beloved family.

It had only been few days since Alex had a good hunt, but it felt like it had been a month to her. Sky hadn't come home yet and she was starting to get anxious. Looking back at her son and the wolves she smiled at them. Marcus was playing with Luna tonight since Brico had gone to stay the night with Kalina again. When she heard the thunder of Sky's running Alex smiled to herself and went to her son kneeling next to him and giving him a kiss. "Stay here with Luna and Blizzard, mommy and Coal are going hunting." She told her son in a soft gentle voice before she stood and left the cave with Coal at her side.

They had been hunting for perhaps thirty minutes when they saw their target, an older buck who had lost his heard. The black wolves went on separate side of the beast and paused as the wind blew and the buck raised his head to sniff the air. When he lowered his head Alex lunged for his hind and Coal went for the throat. Reaching her goal Alex held on as the beast thrashed and kicked. Coal was at first knocked away but got a second strike as Alex bit down harder. Clamping his jaws down Coal crushed the wind pipe of the animal slowly suffocating it. Letting go of the buck's thigh Alex bit down on his stomach and pulled away. Seeing this Coal released the throat in his jaws and the buck slowly bleed and suffocated before collapsing into the grass. Throwing her head back Alex let out a howl of victory as did Coal. Going to the head of the carcus Alex bit down behind the head and antlers and started to drag it back to the cave.

It didn't take them long to get out of the forest in their area. Letting out a small howl Alex called for the rest of her pack to come and help get the meal at least to the mouth of the cave. Blizzard and Luna ran out of the cave and soon started to help drag the creature towards the cave. Past the scent of blood and buck, she could pick up Sky Dastan, and a familiar scent.

Sumdyl was partially disturbed when dastan joked about his injuries right after being concerned about his arm. Sumdyl shrugged the disturbance off. when titus asked where dastan had been sumdyl felt happy knowing partially where dastan had been. sumdyl then heard him say that he would gladly heal their wounds, sumdyl knew abilities came with a weakness and did not want to push the weakness onto titus. "you don't have to do that" he replied not wanting to to see Sky experience his weakness of his vitality control. When sky brought up the invitation to dinner Sumdyl remembered he had not eaten since he got stuck in the ruins yesterday even after dastan got him out he still had not eaten. "that sounds nice" he replied with a smile. he kept following sky through the cave. Sumdyl was glad to feel the presence of alexandria nearby.

"Sit here and wait with Dastan." He said smiling at Sumdyl, "I need to help the others drag the kill in." He said, turned and ran out of the cave, meeting the others half way he nodded at them and instructed the all to lift the beast onto his back. Waiting patiently he smiled, getting into position. It wasn't easy carrying a quarter ton animal but he could handle it. He liked helping carry the animal, as the others playfully and happily barked, following his every move. He was breathing heavily by the time he got to the mouth of the cave. What a work out... He thought happily, smiling, and showing his large canines, being the biggest wolf in the pack he looked impressive next to the others but he was glad he was so big because he didn't see himself as the big, strong, alpha but as just another contributing member of the pack. He loved his family and he would carry a 2,000 lbs bear for them if it really came down to it. He dug his paws into the ground and pressed on down into the cave, growling and barking as he struggled to bring it to the bottom, and the fire. He smiled at Dastan and Sumdyl who were sitting next to the fire enjoying the company of the others.

He was about to answer Titus' question where he had been, but he then heard a howl, and Titus had told Sumdyl to stay with him until he got back. Dastan slightly shrugged and turned to face Sumdyl as Titus walked off to go and help bring back dinner, which unfortunately wasn't what he usually would eat. "I hate eating wild meat." He admitted as he waited with Sumdyl. "Let's go and sit down shall we?" Dastan gestured for Sumdyl to sit himself down by the fire as he walked into the cave. He didn't sit too close to the fire, otherwise, it would get really hot and uncomfortable. Then, not too long after waiting, Titus and the rest of the wolves entered the cave with the buck. He forced a friendly smile towards Titus as he smiled to Sumdyl and Dastan. "Around...I've been around.." Dastan said to Titus. He wasn't sure if any of his family had heard of the incident with Eve yet, as he hadn't really spoken to them since, up until now of course. He was in a joyful mood because of Eric's influence.

Alex and the wolves were at the base of the hill when Sky came and helped them. She gave him a wolfish smile and did as he instructed. Seeing the strain in his eyes Alex helped him as best she could till they got it inside. Marcus came running and practiccly tackled Alex a big smile on his face. Shifting Alex hugged her child, that was when she saw Sumdyl and a surprised look went across her face. "Sumdyl, what are you doing here?" She asked the human soon seeing his arm and she didn't need his answer. He had been attacked by a bear that was more animal then even werewolves were. "Nevermind, as for you Dastan. Whats this I heard about you attacking a human girl?" Alex asked with athourity to the wolf as she sat her son down, went and hid behind Blizzard, knowing his mother was getting angry.

when dastan gave his opinion Sumdyl wanted to give his. "I don't know but i bet it tastes good." he told him replying to the comment about food as he sat down. Sumdyl never had wild meat before but was willing to try seeing how titus liked it. "if you aren't willing to eat wild meat, I could help you look for some edible herbs if you want?" he told dastan. Sumdyl was happy to be there with dastan and sky, and he wanted them to be happy too. He then saw alexandria come in and liked seeing a familiar face.


He heard Alexandra talk about the night at the harbor which brought Sumdyl's mood down because it reminded him that he commited his own sin that night as well. "good luck" he whispered to dastan hoping that he would not be punished . he then went back and focused on alexandria. "it is nice to see you again, Alexandria" he said with a forced smile. He knew dastan did do something wrong, and he knew That what comes with every action comes a consequence. Sumdyl wanted to help but he knew that it was needed and that he had no right as to intefere with the pack and how it works. Sumdyl was just a guest and stranger to most of them and he understood why so he kept his mouth shut.

he started to staring into the fire thinking that there was nothing he could do.

Dastan raised an eyebrow as Alex mentioned the incident down at the harbour. "I was upset, and for a very understandable reason, but I have no valid excuse for what I have done... Full Stop." He said in a stern voice, ruining the friendly atmosphere around him. But before anything else could happen, he heard Sumdyl speak into his ear, wishing him good luck. "Actually, I will take up that offer on collecting those herbs. There is nothing betterthan herbs..." He winked at Sumdyl and then back to the dead animal and cringed. Dastan truly was being himself, he hated wild meat. "Well, you guys can enjoy that..." He sent a small smile towards everybody as he stood up ready to walk out of the cave with Sumdyl, hopefully without being stopped.

Sumdyl started to follow dastan so he could keep his word about helping Dastan find some edible herbs. Luckily Sumdyl had learned that the forests and rivers of carpe noctum where filled with herbs. Sumdyl knew it might make Dastan feel really weird in the stomach if he only ate herbs so Sumdyl decided to look for black berries to also help satisfy Dastan. Sumdyl was going to come back to the cave with dastan once he collected a good amount of black berries. the forest was filled with them at this time of year so it should not be hard to find a good amount. "dastan if you only eat herbs it might upset your stomach so we should also get black berries, any way for you herbs won't be enought to satisfy probably." Sumdyl told him.

Sumdyl turned around to speak back to the pack. "don't start with out us this should be very quick. if you wait i could bring back some extra basil and black berries and season that buck for you" Sumdyl assured them smiling . the only reason sumdyl was leaving was to help dastan. any way since Alois sent vampires after him which probably already taken over his home, he had no where to return to but the cave. he started to follow dastan again.

He turned his head and watched as they walked off, nodding his head gently. He turned back to the love of his life happily. Placing his arm around her and his son he set his gaze upon the flickering flame of the fire, smiling he felt normal again and finally home within. he had been else-ware for far to long and needed to be home again. He was overjoyed with this and looked around the cave, at each and every member of his pack, smiling happily at all of them, he leaned back and stretched his neck.popping it easily and exhaling a long relaxing breath into the air around him.

Alex heard the tone in which Dastan had answered her, and she was about to snap back at him when him and Sumdyl left the cave to gather herbs. Letting out a heavy sigh she sat down and ended up with an arm around her shoulders. Smiling at her lover Alex's annoyance died down and she leaned against him for a moment before standing and using one of her nonvenomous daggers to skin the buck and the cut out the meat from him. She tossed a few raw chunks to Coal and Blizzard who emideatly sank their fangs in and started eating. The rest Alex cut into strips, and hung them over the thin stick that was over the fire. Looking over the buck she saw where her and Coal's fangs had gone in as that was where the blood was thickest. "Gonna have to take that to the river in the morning and clean it." She said picking up the skin and taking it near the entrance. They had mostly furs to sleep on from her hunts and they even had a bear skin or two so Marcus wasn't very phased at the site of his mother skinning her kill. When Alex got back she sat down beside her mate again and patted her lap as Mark sat down in it. Wrapping her arms around her son she felt happy but also like their son deserved more then to live in a cave. He deserved a real bed, a home in town so that he could play with the other children and not feel exiled from the rest of the world.

Sumdyl looked back and saw them all as a familly and he had a quick thought about marcus that was similar to Alexandria's. He kept his stare a connection with a familly that he saw in front of him was all that he really ever wanted he wanted to stay. he had keep his word to dastan. He started to step out of the cave and saw that there was a black berry bush nearby. Sumdyl was glad that carpe noctum was home to such plants that their was a wide variety. he quickly crouched down and grabbed the bottom most part of the bush. its thorns started to scratch him but he kept on pulling. he got it out of the ground by the roots the huge bush became his in the end. he dragged it over to dastan. "this enough for you " he said with a smile as handed dastan the bush implying that he himself was not going to eat any of course he had a small branch of black berrys he was going to use to season the buck. he then went back inside the cave and sat beside titus lexi and marcus watching the flame feeling happy as if he was part of something much better than being alone. usually if he was at his home he would be sitting on the roof all alone and depressed this day made him happy and feel warm inside being around others. Sumdyl knew of marcus's situation by just looking around. tomorrow morning sumdyl was planning to sneak back to his house and at least try his best to get the vampires away from it. once he did that he could let marcus and the tridle pack stay in the large house since it was funded by the abbes.

sumdyl was now sitting beside lexi, sky and marcus. "this feels right" he said with a warm smile his warm eyes absorbing the image. he truly felt at peace . probably because he had not been around a familly or people at night like this ever since he lost his parents when he was five, which was ten years ago.

Watching the converging pairs eat their meals he would naturally refuse to eat until his whole pack had. This was developed and used to be opposite in the Wolf world, but this was what he had to become accustomed to. He didn't mind much, the others never ate as much as he did and by the time they were all done he had the part he liked the most to himself. This was indeed the usual meal at night, with some occasional bear meat... but that was difficult to come by, it took more energy to get the kill than the energy put out from the eaten meat. He once again found himself looking around at the happily eating wolves and his son who had sat down in his mother's lap, he smiled wide as he saw this act of affection, his kin had always made him happy by their affection towards each other. He knew that every last one of them would gladly put their life on the line for anyone else in the cave. Titus knew he felt the same, even for Sumdyl, he had already risked his life for Sumdyl before and he'd do it again if it were necessary. He waited until his lover and his son were served and took out his katana, he raised it, and with one quick downstroke a large chunk of meat fell off and onto the ground. He sheathed his katana happily and shifted. Biting down he lay, meat in mouth and chew happily, pawing and tearing at it as he ate.
