Rae had decided it was another one of those times again. A time to reflect and to clear her mind, and with her work done and out of the way, she was free to do just that. This is why she'd come to the monastery, it was far from the main town life, where the tension was thick for the coming battle. And this way she wouldn't have to explain to anyone as to why she needed the time to reflect.

Sitting out on one of the piers, Rae looked out over the calming water surrounding the island. The breeze cool on her face and the sunshining warm on her back. This was the best time to think about Michael, it was his favourite time of the day, and his favourite season. That's why she wanted to reflect on his life and their time together before he died. "Why did you have to go?" Rae asked the water, as it moved past her on it's way to the ocean.

Michael's death had been a tragedy, although killed in action, it had been a mission of peace ending in death. Not something any of the higher ups had expected out of the opposing forces, who had been the ones to call the truce meeting. In the end though Michael had been an easy target for the snipers, and she had been useless to help him. It ate away at her because they had been partners for so long, and then he was just gone and she was alone.

Standing up Rae picked a small, flat stone off the ground, and threw it out on to the water, watching it skip across four times, before it fell into the oblivion of the water. Now she had to deal with the coming war in Carpe Noctum, and to this point she had yet to find a side to aline with, or rather to approach any of the factions against the Rose Alliance and the Bodouar twins.

That was going to be a hard decision, considering how many of them there seemed to be cropping up, but she had an idea of who she was going to go ask to join up with, but that could wait until after her little reprieve from life.

Since Jack had been released and gotten back together with Hex, did he have a spare moment of his own, not that he didn't mind being with Hex, in fact he missed her terrible right now, then he could feel he needed some alone time. So when Hex headed off to meet with Selena, which she had been highly skeptical about, he had taken the boat over to the island to as he called it meditate. He had found a large rock that would cover him, so he could sit in privacy. He had taken a seat by the foot of it and closed his eyes, trying to find peace and tranquility, but a scent of another werewolf hit his nostrils, but he tried not to get distracted by it. He focused and just let the world run by.
