Eve had left the manor that morning, without talking to anybody. She remembered this one park that was in a nice neighborhood, and wanted to go play. Maybe she can meet some other kids too. The manor is really cool, but when you're the only kid living there, it can get pretty boring. Eve had her mp3 playing in her ears as she walked through the town, looking for the park. Even though she's blind, she has a really good memory and a good sense of direction.
When Eve finally made it to the park, she sighed a little when she realized that there weren't other kids around. But hey, there are things she can play with, so that's all she needs. She instantly dashed for the slide first, climbing up the steps. Going down was really fun, cause with no sight, you can never tell when it's going to end. After a few slides, she went over to the sand box to start making her version of sand castles. Not the prettiest, but she understands how to stack and pack. Of course, she could always use her ability, but she remembered she has to be careful when in open areas. So, for now, she was content with just her hands and her imagination.

Jamie had barely entered the park before she let go of her mother's hand and stormed off towards the playground when she had it in sight. Even though she heard her mother yell that she should slow down a bit, she didn't really do what she was told. She would love to swing, but she saw a girl sitting in the sandbox making odd looking things in the sand. Slowing down she started to move over to the sandbox, tilting her head a little she looked awfully interested at what the girl was doing. "What are you making?" she asked sweetly and looked curiously at the girl, she noticed her eyes looked funny, but then again her aunt Reira had a strange eye and she had seen the eyes that Reira's sister's had, so she didn't really think much of it.

Eve sensed someone coming up close, so she made sure her music was off, so she could be more aware of her surroundings. Someone then came up and asked what she was making. "A castle," she answered. She paused for a moment and looked up, although her eye's point of direction was off from looking at the girl. "Do you want to help?" she asked. "I'm not super best at it, especially since I can't see what it looks like." Although the girl was a bit younger than her, Eve didn't mind at all. She loved playing with kids of any age, which is why she gets along with Reina so well.

Jamie stepped into the sandbox and sat down in the sand, not paying attention to her mother who had taken a seat on a bench not far from the sandbox, observing Jamie and the girl. "Are you blind?" she asked with a curious voice. She had heard about them, people who couldn't see. She had never met one herself, but the girl looked fascinating and Jamie was very interested in getting to know her a little better. Jamie grabbed a small bucket there was in the sandbox and started to fill it with sand. She loved going to the playground with her mom or dad or both. "What's your name? My name is Jamie and I'm four years and 19 days," she said with a slight nod, it was very important to tell her exact age, after all she was one day older than yesterday.

Evee nodded to the girl's question. "Yeah, I was born blind. But it's kind of fun, sometimes." She smiled and noticed the girl was filling up the bucket with sand. When she introduced herself as Jamie, along with her age, Eve smiled back and said, "My name is Eve, but lately people have been calling me Evee. I'm going to be, what's today?" Eve thought about it, then said, "I'm gonna be three in... ten days. Well, technically I'll be twelve, but my birthday is on a leap year, so it only comes around every four years." Eve always loves telling people that. They either think it's just as awesome as she does, or they just get confused.

Jamie looked up from the bucket and stared at the blind girl. Then she giggled a little. "You're younger than me, but look older," she said with a chuckle. Then she got a thoughtful expression on her face. "Leap year? Why is it called that?" she asked before she flipped the bucket around so it stood on the sand. Grabbing for a small shovel she started to bang a little on the top and then slowly she lifted the bucket and the sand stood there shaped like the bucket. A bright smile spread on Jamie's face, clapping her hands. "I've made a tower," she exclaimed and looked over at Evee.

Eve giggled with Jamie when she commented on her age. When the girl asked what a leap year was, Eve shrugged. "I think it means a leap of four years, so we can have an extra day in February," she answered. "Or maybe we're just supposed to be leaping everywhere, who knows. That would be funny to watch. Everyone leaping to work and school." She laughed and worked on her castle more. She heard Jamie exclaim about creating a tower, and Eve smiled and said, "Awesome!" She held her hand out and gently touched where the sand tower stood. "That's super pretty," she said. "Should we put a flag on top? I think I felt a stick earlier..." Eve felt around until she found one that had a tiny leaf on the end. She smiled and offered it to Jamie.

Jamie giggled when she heard Evee's explanation of what a leap year was. It could be fun to leap around all day, well she might get a bit tired and she was thinking if she should try it, when they headed home. As Evee handed her the stick with the leaf on the end she took it and carefully placed it on the top. Jamie looked over to her mother and waved to her and her mother waved back. When she looked around she noticed that there weren't any others around. "Where's your Mommy or Daddy?" she asked. When she went to the playground she always had either her mom or dad with her.

Eve smiled when Jamie took the stick and put it on the sand tower. She was having lots of fun with Jamie, making the trip here all the more worth it. But when Jamie asked where her mom and dad was, Eve's smile faded, and her head went down. The girl was young, and she didn't want to worry her, but she couldn't lie to her. "I don't have a mommy or a daddy anymore," she answered. Although she never saw them die, Eve knew they wouldn't tell her to run if they weren't expecting dark endings. "Is your mommy or daddy here?" she asked in return, moving her head around to 'see'.

Jamie felt sorry for the girl, she didn't know how it was not to have her parents around. When Evee asked if her Mommy or Daddy was there, she nodded, but then realised that the girl couldn't see it. She took the girl's hand and moved her hand in the direction where her mother sat. "My Mommy sits on a bench over there," she said. "Want to meet her? She's very nice," she said and got up and started to pull in the girl's hand a little to get her to follow.

Eve smiled when Jamie grabbed her hand to help show her where her mom was. Before she could answer Jamie if she wanted to meet her mom, she could feel herself getting pulled up to follow her anyways. "Oh okay," she said, as she walked. Although she really didn't need help, she let Jamie hold onto her anyways. This was a really good day for Eve. She got to play, and she's meeting new people and making friends. Reina would be so excited for her right now if she saw. Maybe when she gets back home, she should ask Reira to call her niece for her so she can tell her.

Jamie hurried over to her mother as fast as her short legs could carry her and without falling over, after all she had a blind girl with her so she couldn't exactly run as fast as she could. "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy," she yelled and came to a halt when she came over to the bench. "Mommy, meet my new friend. This is Eveeeee. Evee this is my Mommy," she said and sent them both a big smile. "Mommy, Evee is blind," she said with a nod.

Bonnie had brought a book she could read in when she didn't watch her daughter. When she heard her daughter yell, she looked up and saw Jamie come storming towards her with the girl she had been playing with on tow. She closed her book and placed it next to her on the bench. She could see that Evee didn't quite have the ability to see. "Hi Evee. I'm Bonnie," she said as Jamie started to crawl up on Bonnie's knee. Bonnie put her arms around her little girl and sent her a smile. "Are you having fun Jamie?" she asked her daughter and Jamie nodded and said yes. "Do you want to sit?" she asked Evee.

Eve smiled and waved to Jamie's mom when they were introduced. Eve could sense that they were both witches, which made her feel even more comfortable around them. When Bonnie asked if she wanted to sit, she nodded and answered, "I can get it," she said, sitting on top of the bench. "I have this ability where I can sense my surroundings," she explained to them, in case they were curious. She sent them a smile in their direction and said, "Miss Bonnie, you sound really pretty." Eve can't see what they look like, but she has a way of determining beauty. A lot of it involves with sounds. Although she was a bit shy, Eve felt a little comfortable around the woman already, especially since she's already made friends with her daughter.

Then she looked at Jamie who looked a bit confused when Bonnie brought up Evee touching her face. "Blind people have to use their other senses, sounds, there hands. By running your fingers over a person's face, you get an idea of how the person looks," she explained to Jamie, who let out a slight oh sound.

"It's just that my mommy always told me it's polite and respectful to give adults titles like Miss and Mr." When Bonnie offered for her to touch her face, Eve had a surprised look before taking up on her offer. Not a lot of people know how she learns to see, or even offer. When she was done touching her face, Eve smiled, "Ooh, you really are pretty." She turned her head towards where Jamie was and asked, "Want me to touch your face too, so I can know what you look like?" Eve always asked before she did things, but she figured since she did it to her mom, Jamie might want to as well.

Jamie watched deeply fascinated as she watched Evee touch her mother's face, so when Evee asked if she wanted Evee to touch her's as well, she briefly looked at her mother who sent her a bright smile and a nod. "Mmmmm," she said and leaned forward a little. She couldn't help but giggle a little, it was strange to have Evee's fingers move over her face and afterwards she leaned into her mother who hugged her tightly, as she felt slightly shy all of a sudden. Usually Jamie was very outgoing, but she could be hit by these shy moments where she sought comfort either from her mother or father.

Eve smiled and touched Jamie's face. "Oooooh, you look just like your mommy," she commented, before pulling her hand back. She swung her legs on the bench as she sat there. An idea suddenly came into her head. "Do you know a nice lady named Reira, Bonnie?" she asked. Eve figured that since Bonnie and Jamie were witches, they both might have met the energetic person. "She's super funny, really nice, and sounds like she was given too much coffee when she was itty bitty." Not that Eve was worried of living with the witch, she was just curious what others say about her.

Bonnie smiled widely when Reira's name came up. "I know Reira. She's Jamie's Godmother actually and my best friend," she said, still with a smile on her face. And she couldn't help but laugh when she heard Evee's comment about the coffee. "Yep that's Reira. How do you know her?" she asked. Of course she hadn't spoken with Reira the last week. Bonnie had been super busy, so she hadn't really had time to socialize much. Except from when she was at the shop with Cassie.

Eve was surprised to meet someone so close to Reira. That made things all the more easier for her. "Well, she's letting me stay with her," she explained. "When she found out I didn't have a home anymore, she took me in. Even offered to be my mentor, since we both have the same ability. That made me happy, cause when I work with the elements, it makes me think of my parents." It always brought her a sense of comfort, as if every time she uses her ability, her parents are there, watching over her. "But yeah, I was just asking cause I was curious about the person I'm now living with. Her family is really nice."

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

Remember that you can use as many of your characters you want to vote with as long you don't vote for one of your own characters. You can find them here. The polls will close June 1. Furthermore we have two homecoming polls. So let your high school characters vote for who should be homecoming king and queen. The polls closes 9 June, you can find them in the event board.
