Simetra sat at the end of her chair, her legs shaking in nervousness. Reira's been helping her control her hypnotic song so that it wouldn't come out every time she sang. Simetra absolutely hates controlling other people. She didn't like people trying to control her, so why be a hypocrite? So after finally getting the hang of it, Reira dragged her out to the Jazz House, determined to have her sing and prove how well she's gotten. Simi's hardly ever nervous, but her faerie-like instinct of flying outta there was strong.
"Is this really necessary, Rei?" she asked, looking over to her witch friend. "I can take your word for it that I'm really good. So, why don't we just head back to your place and do something fun?" Cause right now, to Simi, this wasn't fun at all.

Reira stared at Simetra with an unexpressionable look at first before putting on a small smile….there was a touch of mischief behind it. "Quite necessary actually… If I don’t hear you sing up at that stage in the next 10 seconds I promise you that I will be the monkey on your back until the day you actually get it over with." She said in rather calm tone. Even though it sounded like she was being sarcastic then she was actually completely serious. "You’ll do fine, Metra… Alright how’s about this….if I go up there and do a little number myself you have to do it as well." Sure she was a bit nervouse herself but she wasn’t exactly one to shy away from these kinds of things or do something foolish out in public. As long as you’re having fun then she didn’t see why other people’s opinion mattered.

Simetra stuck her tongue out at Reira when she threatened to be a monkey on her back. When her friend suggested maybe she can sing first, Simetra sighed. "I don't have stage fright," she replied. "I just... I don't like controlling people. I'm worried if I start singing, people are going to end up like zombies..." Although her ability is useful when trying to get away, that power over others scares her. "And don't threaten to be a freaking monkey on my back. I will astral project myself out of here in a heartbeat, and you will fall with a thump along with my body." She'd do it too.

"Oh right…" Reira face palmed and laughed a little sheepishly to when Simetra expressed her concern and thus reminded her of their actually reason for being there. "Well then we’re here so that you can see how my amazing work on you’s turned out. Just remember what I’ve told you…. The only thing keeping you from your fear is yourself… Just take things little by little… baby steps if you wanna call it that. Besides…. If people start acting like zombies then you can just stop and we can try again another day. As many as it takes until you learn how to master this ability." The witch winked to her friend before gesturing up on the stage. "And I can threaten you as much as I want…. If you do end up astral projecting yourself outta here I’ll take a permanent marker and draw all over your face or something more evil." She chuckled devilishly and stuck her tongue out.

Simetra rolled her eyes at her friend. The sad part is, she would draw things on her unconscious body. And unfortunately for Simi, she hadn't quite learned how to make her astral self corporeal. Simetra watched as someone came across the stage to the microphone. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a small special tonight," he smiled. "Please help me welcome Miss Simetra to the stage." Simi took a deep breath then stood up to go onstage.
She gave one last smile to Reira before going off into her song. Her voice was a bit soft at first, but when she realized people were still functioning on their own, whispering or even taking some sips out of their glasses, she grew more confident and her voice grew more louder. Before you knew it, Simi was lost in the song, singing her heart out. The song had more meaning to it than people knew. With these past few years, Simetra had been learning about her past with her sister, Eileen, but her most of her memories are still missing.
What Simetra didn't know, was that as she grew more into the song, that's when her ability will quick in. "All of my memories keep you near. In silent moments, imagine you'd be here.All of my memories keep you near. The silent whispers, silent tears..." It wasn't until after the music was done playing when she saw the expressions on people's faces. Her eyes grew wide, and she quickly walked off the stage back to her friend, as people slowly began to shake out of the hypnosis.

Reira watched Simetra with a thoughtful expression as she went up on the stage and when her friend smiled at her then she gave her a brief thumb’s up and a wide smile before getting comfortable in her seat and listening to the other witch sing. It was quite the beautiful song… the music…lyrics and her friend’s voice all combined into one to make a perfect melody. Nearing the end of it though she hadn’t realized that Simetra’s ability was starting to take influence on the audience including herself. In fact, she couldn’t even remember her friend singing the end part of the song when she noticed her already rushing back to the table. Immediately she realized what happened. "Before you say anything… You did good and its not your fault… You simply got lost in the music was all…" She gave her friend a reassuring smile as she moved over to give her a hug. What more was there to say? Sure she didn’t know how it felt like having some kind of hypnotic ability but in taming an ability then she knew quite well of.

Maeve was in the back of the Jazz House, surrounded by a few men. "Hmmmm... now which one of these boys do I get to take home with me tonight..." she wondered aloud. They all had dazed expressions on their faces, as they were all influenced by her ability. She then began to point at each of them, saying, "Eeny, meeny, miney, mo-" She paussed when she heard the host say a name she hadn't heard in ages. That couldn't possibly be...
Maeve looked up to see a beautiful redhead get atop the stage. Although her garments were highly disproved of in her opinion, her voice was quite beautiful to listen to. Maeve completely lost interest in the other men and focused on the young woman singing. Before she knew it, the song was over, and Maeve was left in a daze. Similar to the effects of hypnotism. It can't be her!! But who else? Red hair, hypnotic voice, and her name was more rare than a rainbow on a sunny day. She couldn't deny it.
Without another word, Maeve got up from the table and walked over to where the girl ran off to. She seemed to be getting comforted by her friend. They were both witches, which came to no surprise for Maeve. "Please, the best thing to do is to lose yourself to the music," she said, stopping in front of them. She put a hand to her side, and looked Simetra up and and down. She grew much since she last saw her. "I never thought I'd ever have to see you again. And in a town like this, for that matter..."

Then suddenly this woman comes up and began to talk to them like she knew them or something. Especially towards Simetra. "Excuse me?" she asked, confusion very apparent on her face. She looked to Reira, her face reading a 'Do you know this person, cause I don't' expression, before turning back to the woman. She could sense the woman was a witch, but there was something about her that Simetra couldn't pinpoint...

Reira pulled back from her friend when some woman came up to them and just like Simetra then she herself had no idea who she was. Although…she couldn’t help but notice similarities between the two….. their red hair for instance. The witch could sense this woman being a witch as well but then there was something off about her but she couldn’t place her finger on it. Crossing her arms she then looked at the woman with a cool stare. "Pardon me but who are you? Seem to know my friend here and yet she has no clue who you are… And just what do you mean by ‘a town like this?’" She glared slightly. There was the little tidbit of Simetra having amnesia but still… The atmosphere this woman gave off made her uneasy. And sure Carpe Noctum wasn’t exactly one of the best towns there was but after living here for so long then she’s grown attached to the place.

Maeve turned to the asian witch and looked her over as she spoke. She could sense some power off of her, but strength comes from experience and years. Neither she figured this girl had. "Oh, nothing of importance," she replied to her, with a smile. "Just is as it sounds." She turned her attention back to Simetra. "Seriously though, your father hasn't told you anything about me? Surely that pathetic man had to tell you something worthwhile. Or maybe his wife had not many kind words to express about my looks or personality?" She saw the complete dumbfounded look on the girl, as if none of this made any sense. "Dear gracious, child, what's wrong with you?" Surely the man said something...

This woman was Simetra’s mother?! Well Reira could see the features between them seemed similar so she supposed they could pass off as mother and daughter but still… "Do you have any proof?" Reira immediately questioned with almost a glare at the woman. Even though there was the bit about her knowing about Simetra’s sister, Eileen, then she could have just got that information and be pretending to be her friend’s mom. And then she couldn’t see how this woman was even Simetra’s mother in the first place… the way she talked down on her was just plain nasty and horrid. Attitude-wise then the two witches before her had nothing similar about it.

Simetra just stared at the woman in dumbfounded silence. This woman couldn't be her mother! Of course, she does have the vibrant red hair, and she does look a little bit similar in appearance. But that's beside the point! This woman just looked like cruelty and ice. Something Simetra didn't possess in a single bit of her bones. How could her mother be here, of all places anyways?? Eileen said they were in Ireland when she joined the picture with the family. Surely this woman didn't come looking for her after all these years. She heard Reira ask for proof, and Simi turned to her friend before nodding her head at Maeve, waiting for an answer.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
