Carpe Noctum

Bonnie had taken her daughter out for a little walk, they had first been around the playground at the park before they had headed down to the creek where Jamie collected small objects, pretty stones and such and Bonnie couldn't help but smile as she watched her little daughter be so exited when she saw a feather or a stone that was completely round and smooth, not to mention listening to Jamie's laughter was the most amazing thing in the world. She let Jamie run ahead of her a little, while Bonnie looked at her surroundings as well as keeping an eye on Jamie.

Jamie held her little plastic bag tightly as she crouched down and picked up a little flat rock, just as smooth as the round one she had found earlier. It was a bit hard to pick it up with her glove covered hand. After she had put it in her bag she ran along a little, which wasn't easy in her winter clothes, but she had to wear it if she wanted to or not as her mother so often told her, it's not summer. She spotted a bird in a bush further ahead and hadn't spotted the larger rock lying on the ground, but suddenly she lied face first on the ground. The shock of seeing the ground come towards her so fast made her cry out loud. "MOMMY!!!!!" she cried out loud as she tried to get up, but it wasn't easy in her winter outfit.

Bonnie wasn't far behind and when she heard her daughter cry for her she jolted off. She had seen what happened and the moment she was by her daughter's side, Jamie practically tackled her as she put her arms around her. Bonnie lifted her daughter up. "Sweetie, did you hurt yourself?" she asked. Jamie nodded still sniffing loudly. "Where?" she asked and Jamie reached out the hand she had held the small plastic bag that now lied on the ground. While Jamie was placed on Bonnie's hip and supported by Bonnie's left arm, Bonnie took the glove off with her right hand. There wasn't anything to see then she took Jamie's hand and blew on it. "Did that help?" she asked and Jamie nodded and snuggled into Bonnie, who chuckled a little before she turned her attention to the woman. "Hey Simetra," Bonnie said and sent the woman a bright smile before she looked to Jamie who was still sobbing a little. It wasn't much you had to do before the pain could go away, mostly it was the shock and all that was needed was to be held, which Bonnie did with Jamie, although she was not as light as she was when she was a baby, so Bonnie could stand like that all day.

Bonnie chuckled a little and as Simi spoke to Jamie, the little girl buried her face into Bonnie's neck with shyness, which she always did after she's had a little accident, then it was only her mom or dad who worked. Bonnie gave Jamie a light squeeze before she turned her attention back to Simetra. "We were just out getting some fresh air. Was over in the park and tried out the swings," she said and looked to Jamie. "We liked those didn't we," she said and Jamie nodded a little as she nuzzled into Bonnie, which only caused Bonnie to smile even wider as she looked back at Simetra. "And then we took the trip down here on our way home and when we get home we'll make hot coco and eat a lot of cookies," she said and looked back at Jamie again. "You're welcome to join us if you want," she said and looked back at Simetra with a friendly smile.

Bonnie had tried to put Jamie down, but she failed as Jamie refused to go anywhere unless she was carried, she had really gone into one of her pouting moods, but hopefully some hot coco could do the trick. "Oh nothing much, we've been house searching a lot in the neighbourhood, we want something bigger and you know trying to expand," she said and glanced in the direction of Jamie who was still snuggling into her mother, Jamie had turned Mommy sick. "Plus trying to arrange a wedding, I just might have narrowed it down to three dresses now, but don't tell AJ about that. We still have to find a place to be for the reception afterwards. I'm just glad there's still a couple of months before it all goes down," she said. She had been so happy after AJ had proposed that she had told everyone she knew within a week, sending texts and such to everyone that she was getting married, she had never thought she would act like that, but she couldn't help it.

Bonnie chuckled a little. "They might be fun, but they are a murder to plan. I'm just glad my parents wants to pay for the whole thing. Not that we want a big wedding, it just gives us opportunities. I suppose being an only child has its advantages," she said said and looked to Jamie who seemed to have dozed off on Bonnie's arm. "I don't hope she will be for much longer," she said and kissed the top of Jamie's hooded head, she was starting to get a bit heavy, but luckily they were home soon. They had tried for a couple of months now and still there didn't seem to be jackpot, so Bonnie was thinking that maybe she should just forget about the outcome they were aiming for, she had just thought it would go just as fast as last time, but she had a little chat with her doctor shortly before Christmas and he had said that she shouldn't think so much about it and just relax, have fun, which she was trying have in mind. "Did you have a good Christmas? We had my parents and cousin over as we usually have. This time around Jamie wasn't too scared of Santa Clause when he came," she said with a slight chuckle. She could remember the first year her dad showed up as Santa, Jamie was terrified of the big bellied man in red suit and white beard. Jamie's gloveless hand had found its way up to her mouth where she had stuck her thumb in and suckled on it, which made her look even more adorable than she already was, well in Bonnie's eyes anyway. She absolutely adored her daughter, normally Jamie was a happy child, but she had her moments, which apparently came from her mother at least that's what AJ always said, which Bonnie couldn't see.

Bonnie smiled a little. Then they reached the little yellow house that they would soon leave, although Bonnie had been thinking about renting it out to her cousin, for some reason she had a feeling that the house had great importance, after all it was lying right in the centre of the humans' area and in case they had to do some sort of protection spell over the area again, this would be the place to do it, and it wouldn't be so easy to get access to it if they sold it to some complete stranger. She managed to unlock the door, AJ was out most of the day so he wasn't home. "Sweetie we are home," she said quietly and brushed a finger gently over Jamie's cold cheek. Jamie whimpered a little and Bonnie decided to let her lie on the couch and take her clothes off that way. Jamie whimpered a little, but other than that she was completely passed out at least for now. After Bonnie had gotten her own coat off she gestured to Simetra that they moved to the kitchen. "Please take a seat," she said and gestured to the chairs while she moved over to the stove and started on the process of making hot coco. "So what are you up to these days?" she asked as she took out a casserole.

Bonnie stood by the stove and stirred in the casserole while listening to Simetra. "Well I've been busy with work and family life, having an almost four year old is a full time job," she said said with a chuckle and looked down at what she was doing. "I'm just glad that AJ and me have managed to work out how to get the days going or I doubt we would still be together. The fact that we are both flexible with our jobs, not to mention having my dad so close by when things are burning. The times where we both had to go out on magic related jobs, we wouldn't be able to do that if we didn't have a safety net. We pretty early on decided that we didn't want Jamie with us, you never know what will happen, even though most of the jobs have been nothing, then it's no fair to her either. She's just discovered her main ability, it freaked the daylight out of her," Bonnie said and looked over at Sims again. "So far I've just let her be with me when ever I did remedies and such for the shop, talking to her about the various herbs and showed what I could do with my abilities, but she's never really understood what she is, but after AJ and I had a talk with her, I think she's starting to understand," she said and turned down the heat and found three mugs. "It's strange though, I mean I have apprentices, but this is my own daughter. My mom wasn't around when I grew up, so it's weird to suddenly think it as my responsibility that Jamie grows up as a good witch," she said and placed the mugs next to the stove. She looked to the doorway that led into the living room. "I kind of have an idea how to do it with her. Since she's so young, I think it's best to go about it in a more relaxed manner, have her play it in, in a way, have her help me out when I do something. In spring I thought she could have her own little part of the garden where she could grow her own herbs," Bonnie said and looked back at Simetra with a smile before she started to pour coco up in the mugs.
