it was a moonless night, i could see the beautiful sky
the darkness looked like it had worn the light. look, that star is still white.

it had taken the entire day of pestering, but rena finally had permission to go out and see her friends. when her phone and started singing earlier, the reporter-slash-student had been in a dead sleep. startled, she flipped out of bed and onto the floor, hitting her leg in the process. she started to tear up at the minor pain, but quickly was reminded that she had a text message waiting for her. when the werewolf had finally read it, she'd been extatic to get invited to the nightclub. gemma, her roommate/baby-sitter/older-sister-esque figure, however, had not been too thrilled at the idea. rena was, after all, not exactly the safest when it came to trusting strangers and she'd never tasted alcohol before; who knew what catastrophe those two traits could unleash on an unsuspecting room of party-goers, (not to mention, gemma herself, who would be the one responsible for all of rena's misdeeds). but now, rena was marching past the blocks of people waiting to get into the nightclub, a bubbly smile plastered on her face. she'd never been here before and she hadn't seen any of her friends since the christmas party, so tonight would be fun.

a big burly man stopped her from waltzing into the club, but once she told him her name, he let her pass without any further problems. giggling in delight, the brunette took her and her short-blue-dress clad body, (she'd been surprised that she had to dress up so nicely just for dancing, but gemma had told her to wear something "pretty, just not too pretty." the halter-number, which hit a few centimeters above her knee, was paired with cute ballet flats of the same shade of blue) inside. almost instantly, rena was overcome with the smell of multiple human bodies. yet, gianna had been here so recently that the former was able to follow the latter's scent to the reserved area. and when she got close enough to spot her gorgeously-dressed co-worker, she let out a high-pitched "gee!" before sprinting over to wrap the other woman in a warm hug.

Selena was being dragged to the club by Hayley, she didn't really mind because she thought a night out with the girls would be the perfect way to relax but she wanted to be alone with Alex. When Hayley had insisted on her going Selena had dug through her closet to find an outfit and she had decided on a black sequin dress that showed a lot of her back. She had given Alex a really long sweet kiss before leaving with Hayley to head to the club. Tonight she would just have fun, with Hayley still in danger though she would have to keep an eye on her. When they reached the club Selena let her hair down and ran her fingers through it giving it a wild look. "Let's do this." she said with a smile as she locked arms with Hayley and made her way to the front enterance. She gave them her and Hayleys name and they were let in. Grabbing some drinks she headed to the vip section where she saw Gee. "Hey girl!!! We made it!." she said as she moved to the music and took a sip of her drink.

Hayley had been looking so much forward for tonight, she hadn't been out for what felt like ages and it could be fun with a girls night out. She had found a cute silver dress in the mall the other day and had just waited for the right moment to put it on. She grabbed a drink when Gianna proposed a toast and she downed hers just like Gianna had. Then she started to scout the club for some hunky guy or something she could dance with, to be honest she was looking for a guy these days, she had seen how Alex and Selena were together and Brody and Gianna and to be honest she missed having a boyfriend. A daredevil with a lot of tattoos, but she figured that Brody and Alex would get a fit if she started to date someone who fit that description, but what could she do, she always fell for the wrong kinds.
"I seriously need to find myself a guy," she mumbled.

Selena downed her drink and shook out her hair as she looked out at the dance floor. "Go have fun and find a guy." she told Hayley before going to the dance floor with Gee and Rena. She danced with them and a few of the guys who were there dancing with them. The music was good and she was able to move perfectly to the beat. She had a feeling this would be a good night. She found herself laughing and having a good time for the first time in a while and she was enjoying it. She looked over at Hayley for a moment to make sure she was fine before sending Gee a smile.

In the back of her mind, Rena had been prepared to get a lecture from Gee. She was one of the many people that Rena hadn't told she was going to go investigate the cause of all the disappearances and attacks. Sheepishly, she smiled and scratched at her cheek. "Aha, well, it was sort of a whim, you know?" That was a little white-lie. She'd been planning on leaving weeks before she actually did. "But don't worry! You and Gemma will be the first to know if I go anywhere, again! And this time, you can come! I made it all the way to Chicago - did you know? You can meet the cool pack, there! Chris, and Allen, and Liv, and Momo, and Kyle! He's from Australia!" she giggled, going off onto her own rant that Gianna probably wasn't even listening to. "You'd like them. And they'd love you, Gee! Who couldn't love you?" She gave her friend a large smile, and then once Selena and another girl she hadn't met yet arrived, she waved excitedly in greeting.

"Well to girl power and one heck of a night among friends. Oh Rena, this is Selena, she's Alex' girlfriend and that's Hayley - the Bernstein brother's cousin."

"I remember Selena! You were at the hospital when I came to visit Alex, right?" Delighted with the possibility of new friends, she lept over and gave Head Gamma a quick hug. Then, she turned to Hayley with a grin. "You're cousins are like, the greatest guys on the face of the planet! I bet you're great then, too! Do you write, like Brody? Or maybe take pictures! Like Gee and Alex! What if you -- oh loook! Rena giggled, gently touching a strand of Hayley's hair, then also wrapping her in a second-long hug, (she was always known for her invasion of people's personal bubbles. Hopefuly Selena and miss Hasting wouldn't mind too much). "Your hair is so pretty!"

In a millisecond, her attention was back on Gee. Rena was already drunk on happiness and innocence, (that, and Gemma had told her any drink that she didn't order herself was off limits) so she didn't grab a drink and instead, threw her arms into the air. "Huzzah!" she cheered after her co-worker exclaimed that it was time to party. Then, finding herself being dragged out onto the dance floor, the Free wolf began to giggle like mad. "Charge!"

With that statement, she began dancing rather strangely. Or at least, not the up-close-and-personal, adult way of dancing that most people were participating in. Like the child she was, Rena danced to the beat of the music, but was more focused on shaking her tailfeather and doing the sprinkler than the guys around.
