The sun had been set for a while now. Families were all locked away in their homes. Children were tucked away in their beds, nightlights left on, keeping the monsters away. It's funny what stories parents told their children. A small light keeping monsters away. Sadly, that didn't work. All these stories about people dying recently really put a damper on things. During their last moments, did those people still believe that having a light on was going to save them? Who knew. Exactly what monsters were supposed to be kept back from just a small light? The Alpha Male knew that it wouldn't do anything to stop him. That is, if he were a bloodthirsty killer. Either way, if any human saw what he really was, he would just be thrown in with all the other 'monsters.' He may look normal on the outside, but the humans didn't know what secret he held, along with many others that occupied this town.
Lucian had been gone for quite some time, which he knew wasn't the greatest idea, seeing how he left many people behind and was sure to get a stern talking to; most likely a beating from Serena. But with everything that had been going on, he just needed to get away for a bit. It felt weird being back in town. Though everything looked the same, there was still this strange feeling in the air. A lot had happened in his absence, to which he was sure he would be informed about. No telling how many new members to the pack there were, so that was one thing he would have to sort out. The pack, Serena. She must be worried sick. He didn't leave any letter, try calling, nothing, he just left. That was one thing he was not looking forward to, explaining himself. Lucian himself wasn't entirely sure why he left, he just did. That wasn't going to be pleasant. Heaving a sigh, the alpha male carried on through the empty park. Hands shoved into the pockets of his pea coat. " Maybe I should call her.." He said to himself, pulling out his cell phone and flipping it open to reveal a picture of him and Serena from about a year ago. Lucian stared at the picture for a moment before shutting his phone. " She's probably asleep by now, I wouldn't want to wake her.." Lucian shoved his phone back into his pocket and continued on through the park.

Serena wasn’t actually sleeping. She rarely did nowadays ever since Lucian disappeared at least. He was just like ‘them’. What made her think he would be anything different? A sigh escaped her as she pulled the covers off of her and walked towards the balcony. Something was different about tonight…. She could sense it…. Getting herself dressed, she then out for a little walk. To where? She had no clue… she didn’t really have any particular place in mind. Wherever her feet took her that’s where she went. Probably an hour or two later she found herself at the park. It was nice and quiet to say the least. Serena would look here and about away from the path she was on until her dual colored eyes set their sets on a person up ahead walking his way towards her. "No… it couldn’t be… Was that Lucian?" She thought to herself in disbelief although that didn’t last long. As soon as she realized it was him, there was a welling anger in the pit of her stomach. The look on her face was one of contempt. She remained perfectly still, waiting to see if he would notice or even try to approach her although it was clear that she really wasn’t happy.

Staring at the ground, Lucian continued to make his way through the park, eyes fixed on his shoes that had found a pebble to kick around. It took him a moment to realize that he was no longer alone. Picking his eyes up from the ground, Lucian looked ahead of him to see someone standing there. It couldn't be? Could it? What would she be doing out so late at night? Neither of them seemed to be moving. Heaving a sigh, Lucian continued forward, as much as he knew the amount of trouble he was in, he didn't want to keep her waiting. Many things were running through his head, but the only thing that stood out more than the others was the thought of how angry she was with him. Lucian could feel his face become hot as he grew closer and closer to Serena. What was he going to say? How was he going to explain himself. He wished he had more time to think, but his feet seemed to be moving faster than his mind and he was already standing inches away from Serena. He said nothing. He just stared at the Alpha Female, wondering what would happen next.

Serena didn’t move….didn’t change her angry expression…didn’t smile…all she did was glare at Lucian as he approached her until he was merely inches away from her so that there was barely a gap. Perhaps a little part of her was glad he was back although that was the size of a grain of rice. The rest of her was purely furious. Ever so slightly she titled her head as she continued to glower at the Alpha Male. "Well… well… look who decided to show up… Where ya been these past…. Oh I dunno… ‘months’?" She asked a little harshly and put a lot of emphasis on that last word. She highly doubted he had any good reason and at this point it was probably inevitable that she would lash out on him.

Lucian just stopped and stared. He knew nothing he would say would change how Serena was feeling. Heaving a sigh, Lucian looked down at his feet before speaking. Looking her in the eye was probably one of the hardest things he could do right now. He knew how Serena's past was, and for him to go and do something like this surely crushed her. " I know I left without notice. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. But with everything going on, I couldn't take it. I know it wasn't fair to you at all and I truly am sorry, Serena. The last thing I wanted to do was hurt you, even though that's exactly what happened...I know nothing I say will fix what was done and I feel terrible about that..."The Alpha Male looked up from his shoes for a moment to see if Serena's expression had changed. Stupid thought on his part. There was no way she would forgive him that easily.

Serena simply stared Lucian down hard with those violet and gold eyes of hers as he spoke his ‘excuse.’ "You’re just like them…" She said coldly. "You perfectly well know how I’d feel especially seeing as I’ve already been walked out on twice…. Third time now thank you very much. Should have said something before you left at least…Then I wouldn’t be so pissed off with you right now." The alpha said with a harsh tone and before anyone knew it she took a step towards him and slapped him hard across the face."HOW COULD YOU?!" She yelled at him just as her eyes started brimming with tears.

Before Lucian could speak, Serena's hand had already met the side of his face. He said nothing. All Lucian did was stare at the Alpha Female, watching her eyes slowly fill up with tears. Lucian ignored the stinging sensation, though she did get him good, but that wasn't his main concern right now. " I'm terribly sorry, Serena. I really am. And I did deserve that. Probably deserve a lot more.." Lucian took a step forward, wanting to wrap his arms around her and comfort her, but he decided against it. Him touching her was probably the last thing she wanted right now. How was he going to make it up to her? He didn't have the slightest idea. The Alpha Male just stood there, slowly bringing a hand to where Serena had slapped him; the skin had rose a bit, but he didn't care. Surely it would be there for a bit, maybe even leave a small bruise, but that was about it.

Sure she could hear his apology quite load and clear but right now it was anything but enough. "Sorry? You think a mere ‘sorry’ is gonna cut it? I don’t even know what else to say right now." Perhaps she needed to cool off…think things through for a little while. She wasn’t sure how she was feeling about the Alpha Male at the moment. There was the lingering feelings of relief that he had actually came back from wherever but the ones more so of anger, hurt and betrayal were what was keeping her from being alright. "I can’t deal with this…. I need time to think about things." She said quietly before shaking her head as she turned around to walk away. Did she even want to be with him anymore?

Lucian knew he messed up bad, but all he could do was accept Serena's wishes and leave her be. " I understand..I will leave you be..I love you." Lucian knew there wasn't much more he could say to make things better. Staring at his mate for a moment longer, the Alpha male turned on his heels and started to walk off. He wasn't sure where he was going to go. Surely he couldn't go back to the apartment, though the both of them were on the contract. He would decide that, later. For now, he figured he would wander around, check to see what had changed, who was new in town. Granted that would only keep his mind occupied for so long. The whole incident that just happened took over every other thought. This was something he couldn't shake. There had to be something he could do to fix it, but what? Who knew if what he did would even fix anything; Serena was pretty mad and there's no changing her mind when she's in that mood, that's for sure.

When you see a poll of some sort, then try and take the time to read what it's about and who's allowed to vote. This means in particularly the homecoming polls. They are ONLY for High School characters. So if your character isn't a high school student then DO NOT VOTE!!!! Thank you.
Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

If you haven't voted for the monthly polls yet then you can still do it. Remember that you can use as many of your characters you want to vote with as long you don't vote for one of your own characters. You can find them here. The polls will close June 1. Furthermore we have two homecoming polls. So let your high school characters vote for who should be homecoming king and queen. The polls closes 9 June, you can find them in the event board.
