Roxanne was busying herself in her studies at the moment. The hotel room was much too boring to stay cooped up so she decided to do homework at the library. Quiet atmosphere while at the same time there was activity bustling about with the other library visitors such as her. Somewhat satisfactory setting… Briefly glancing up a moment from her biology textbook, her hazel greenish eyes prowled the large room she was in taking note of everything that was going on. Nothing too exciting that was worthy of being said….
Feeling the need for some music, Roxy reached into her pocket for her iPod only to find the small space empty. Remembering that she left it on her bed back at the hotel, she bowed her head slightly in annoyance but left her hand in her pocket. Bringing her thumb up to her mouth, she carefully positioned it right under her canine teeth before biting down on it nice and hard. No pain no gain as she would like to say. As soon as she tasted the blood, she conjured her iPod to her pocket and the next time she pulled her hand out lo and behold was her device. Quickly licking off the excess blood, she put on a smug smile and wasted no time in immersing herself on some piano music as she studied for her test.

Meg was almost completely bored, and there was indeed nothing to do, not even with Maggie, because she just wanted to rest and not do anything. So before she went out, she told Mags that she was going to visit the library to brush up on some information about witches and other mythical creatures that may not exactly be a myth. When she arrived, she made her way straight over to the section one spells. Meg searched the shelves for a decent looking book to read, eventually finding one. With that, she walked mindlessly over to a chair by some other person. Once Meg was immersed in a book, she really was, immersed. Except for when somebody or something grabs her attention, like the girl sitting not so far away did by biting her finger and making her iPod appear out of the blue. Meg smiled and moved so that she sat in a chair closer to the girl. "I've noticed that you have abilities.." She chuckled quietly a little bit, because she couldn't come up with anything else to say.

Roxy was swaying her head very lightly from side to side as she immersed herself in both the music and as well as her studying. She almost didn’t notice the girl that was talking to her until she accidentally bumped her elbow into her shoulder when she went to stretch. "Oh my God… I’m so sorry!" She apologized immediately in her British accent as she removed her ear buds. "Are you alright?" The girl seemed perfectly fine but she just wanted to be sure. Tilting her head a little, she looked at the person she bumped curiously. "You are like me, are you not?" Roxanne questioned her with the lightest smug smile as she sensed the magic radiating off this girl.

Meg giggled when she apologised for bumping into her. "Haha. It's fine, calm down.." She smiled. "I think the fact that you freaked out startled me more than the actual bumping into me..." Meg admitted and let out a chuckle. "Yeah, I am..." She looked at the little speck of blood on her finger and touched it, healing it almost instantly. "There, that's better than getting blood everywhere. Like moments where you accidentally cut yourself and don't realise, then later you notice that there is a mysterious little blood stain on your clothes. Although, you did know that it was there, because you bit your finger." Meg went into full detail. "Anyways, Hi, I'm Meg." She said joyfully. "I'm so happy that there is somebody around my age that is like me in this town. And by the way, I love your accent..." She was being quite a chatterbox.

Roxanne couldn’t help but send the girl another apologetic smile. She had to stare in awe though when she went ahead to heal up her finger. "Whoa… where have you been all my life? That ability of yours certainly would have come in handy in the past." She chuckled as she analyzed her healed up finger before looking back at the girl. "And yes… I guess I was not stealthy in hiding that little requirement for my conjuration… I must spill my blood in order to conjure something to my person." Roxy said with a small smile as if it wasn’t anything too be concerned about. She was used to it after all. The witch then had to laugh a little when Meg mentioned the tidbit that she was around her age. "I may seem younger than how I really look but I’d have to say that I’m a few years older than you? This lovely creature is but 19 years of age. Although you have said around so I suppose what you said is true." It was then that she sent the girl a wink. "And thanks. I get many compliments about the way I speak. Not really anything special I confess but hey… a compliment’s a compliment."
Turning to face the girl fully, she observed her a little more with a small friendly smile. "Oh where are my manners? The name’s Roxy. Or if you must know the full name then it’s Roxanne Alina Rosaline."

Meg continued to smile at the girl when she said that her ability would have come in good use in the past. "Haha. Well I'm sure yours would have come to good use in my past as well." She raised her eyebrows. "I really like your ability, it is way cool..." Meg admitted. "I don't look my age either, I'm sixteen. It depends on the day though. Some days I look older than what I am, and some other says I look younger.." She shrugged and giggled a little. "Three years difference is good enough for me." Meg said gladly. "Well, I'm more than happy to meet you Roxanne. That's such a pretty name.." She also admitted. "I guess since you gave me your full name I should give you mine. My name is Meghan Phoenix." She continued smiling joyfully. Then looked at the things that occupied Roxanne's hands. "I'm sorry, have I interrupted your studying?" She asked.

Roxanne smiled widely at Meg as she complimented her name. "Thank you very much and I love yours as well. The phoenix is one of my favorite mythical creatures you know. They die but are reborn from their very ashes although I remember reading somewhere that the newly born bird is actually the offspring of the older one….. Oh I’m sorry… I must be ranting." She chuckled a little. When Meg asked her if she interrupted her studying, she simply smiled. "In a way… but don’t worry about it. I need a break anyways." She reasoned as she raised her arms up high in the air and stretched. "Been here for practically the whole day. It’s so boring back at the hotel so I decided to study here instead. It’s quiet but at least there’s activity bustling about." Roxy said with a smile as she brought her arms back down and proceeded to lean back into her chair.

Meg said, even though she was told not to worry about it. "So..I came down here for pretty much the same reason, I was bored too.." She let out a massive breath of air. "Would you like to go for a walk down the street or just browse around? It's starting to get a little too quiet..." Meg suggested and admitted. "Plus, I would like to learn more about your ability. Do you have more than one?" She asked excitedly. Meg was so joyful at the moment.

The witch merely listened to what the other girl was saying and a walk did seem like a good idea at the moment. "Sure thing… I think that should be enough studying for me anyways." She chuckled as she began to gather her books and things into her bag. "And yes I do… you witnessed my conjuration not too long ago. The troublesome thing is that I need to spill a certain amount of blood if I want to conjure something. Then there’s my glass element… annnd I can also manipulate memories believe it or not."

"Okay then, if you say so.." She sent her a friendly smile. Meg then arose from her chair when Roxy accepted Meg's suggestion of going for a walk. She held the book that she had taken off the shelf against her. She listened to Roxy speak about her other two abilities as she walked over to the nearby shelf and put the book back where it came from, then walked back over to her. "That's so cool." She made sure that she didn't speak too loud. "You can manipulate glass? And memories?" Meg grinned. "That's amazing...memories..." She looked amazed. "Whenever you need to conjure something big, make sure I'm around so I can heal you." Meg sent another friendly smile at Roxy. "So, is there any particular place you would like to walk to?" She asked delightfully.

Roxy said with a small smile as she finished up gathering her things and made to walk up to Meg. "I will be sure to do just that." She sent her new friend a wink before pulling her off into walk. "Not really actually… Anywhere is fine for me seeing as I just moved here recently. Know any good places we could go? Perhaps someplace we can eat. I am absolutely starving." The witch chuckled before looking thoughtful. "So… I’ve told you my abilities… what’s yours besides that nifty healing ability?"

As Meg was leading them both out of the library and out onto the street, she turned and looked to Roxy. "It's the same as you I guess, I don't look forward to the side effects. But the side effects are only bad when I put a lot of effort into the ability. My other abilities are Hydrokinesis and Electrokinesis." Meg smiled, then started walking in any direction, sure that they would stumble upon some sort of little food shop. "With the electric one, I get zapped..." She let out a little chuckle. "With the water one, I just get dehydrated, but it isn't as bad as the other two when it comes to side effects. The healing one just transfers a certain amount of the pain from the victim to me." Meg shrugged and continued to walk.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

Carpe Noctum is the decendant of the old forum, Vampires Vs. Werewolves started by Kikyo in 2007. In 2010 we moved the forum from Proboards to vForums with success. Carpe Noctum is build over the old forum with new features and storyline attached to it.
