Amelia hadn't seen Sophia since the wedding, she had been out of town for a couple of weeks dealing with some of her hotels even flying into Paris and sorting something out at her main hotel. Having received a message off Sophia asking her to meet her here, Amie now sat in the pavilion at the centre of the Botanic Gardens. Amelia had never been to the gardens before now, and she had no idea why. With Mojo chasing butterflies just outside of the pavilion, Amelia took out her phone and turned it on silent, there way no way that she was going to be interrupted today. For the past couple of days, she had been getting phone calls off her managers asking her stupid questions, ones that they should be able to answer for themselves. Though Amelia had originally come to Carpe Noctum for a short break, it seemed that the town was now to be her safe haven, none of her hotels were nearby and although she could be contacted, no one really knew where Amie was, apart from her PA, who was sworn to secrecy. Taking a little diary out of her bag, Amelia stared to read through a to-do list that she had compiled last night, ticking off a couple of things, Amie smiled to herself. Sure she was meant to be relaxing for the next couple of days, but she liked to organise everything, she had even scheduled in 'relaxation' time for herself. "You're not meant to actually eat the butterflies Mojo, now heal!" she explained, her crimson eyes looking up to her pet, who obediently did what his mistress had said, taking a seat by her feet, practically sitting on them.

Sophia was running late, Mark had phoned in sick meaning that there had been no cover for the shop, luckily she had recently employed an older woman on part time basis, and she had been able to come in for Sophia. Having walked from the Mall, Sophia had managed to calm herself down a little in the fresh air, even if it was a little bit warm today, Sophia knew that the pavilion would be shaded. Approaching the stand, Mojo was the first thing that Sophia spotted, bringing a slight smile to her lips. Though she wasn't all too fond of pets, Sophia had warmed to Mojo, he was friendly enough, and seemed to like Amie. "Sorry there was a mix up at the shop." she explained, smiling apologetically to Amelia and embracing her as she was hugged. It was true to say that the two had never previously been all too close, but after everything that had happened with Evelyn, it seemed to have brought them closer.

Amelia smiled widely as soon as she saw Sophia approaching, though she seemed a little stressed, Amie was glad to see Sophia so happy. Once all the hugs had been done Amelia sat back down watching as Sophia did so too. "Don't worry about it, I haven't been waiting long." she explained smiling to Sophia. "So how was the honeymoon?" she asked quite excitedly. Of course Amelia didn't need to know all the gory details, but the romantic ones she would be happy with. Now staring at Sophia, Amie could sense that there was something different about Sophia, but she just couldn't guess what it was.

Sophia couldn't help but laugh a little when Amelia asked how the honeymoon had been, of course Sophia knew that she didn't want to know every single little detail of it, in fact Sophia hadn't really talked about it with anyone, it had been a private stay on the yacht, just her and Leo and no one else, it had been truly wonderful. "We stayed on the family Yacht... it was romantic everything that I was expecting it would be, and then some." she explained smiling softly. Everything about the wedding and honeymoon had been what Sophia had wanted, it had all been perfect, and rather stress free. Well apart from the whole Arthur situation, but thankfully that was being dealt with now. "Did you get my message about Arthur?" she asked a serious look now crossing Sophia's face, she knew that Amie wasn't all to involved with Arthur, and had chosen it to be that way, it made it easier.

Amelia smiled when Sophia described the honeymoon, it all sounded so lovely, and a little surprising as she didn't know that Sophia's new family had a Yacht, but considering all the stuff that her and Sophia had actually collected over the years, and the amount of money they collectively had, Amie was sure that they could afford their own yacht, not that it would ever get used, Amelia didn't really do sailing. Then as Sophia mentioned the apparent black sheep of the family, Amie couldn't help but grimace a little, there was a reason that she didn't get involved with any of the human family members, and this was one of them. "Did he really have the shop trashed?" she asked raising an eyebrow. Though the antiques were Sophia's department, Amelia helped when she could, sometimes with getting certain items into the country, or logistics and the like.

A sad look appeared over Sophia's face when Amelia asked if the shop had actually been trashed. Though the shop was pretty much in order now, it was practically empty, she was having slight issue with getting her hands on certain items and getting things from the warehouse and to the shop. "It was all down to Arthur's little blonde tramp... they've both been arrested, the police found drugs in the house when they were taken to the station." she explained shrugging a little. The more Sophia thought about it, the more stressed out she got, and she had to stay calm, or rather she was tired of having to worry about Arthur and it was becoming bad for her health.

Amelia was shocked to say the least when Sophia mentioned that it had been Arthur's wedding guest that had trashed the shop, as soon as Arthur had brought her to the wedding, Amie had known that she was going to be a nasty piece of work, and now she had done something like that. Well at least they were both getting what was owed to them, even if the drugs thing was a little more of a shock. Amelia vaguely remembered that Arthur's father had had a problem with drugs, well at least she thought that he did, wasn't he currently doing time for possession at the moment. "You know where I am if there's anything that I ca-... are you alright your emotions are going haywire." she asked frowning to Sophia, rubbing her temples a little. The emotions that she was getting off Sophia were quite the mixture, so much so that she was getting a headache.

Due to the fact that her and Amelia didn't spend that much time with each other, Sophia usually forgot that Amelia was empathetic, much in the same way that Leo was, in fact maybe Amie could tell him how to block emotions out, as Sophia was sure that that was what Amelia did with her, most of the time. Looking away from Amie, looking out to the Park. "I've just been a little stressed recently, you know what with the wedding and now the shop and everything." she explained looking back to Amie hoping that that would satisfy her, but who was she trying to kid, Amelia was a La Roux. Clearing her throat a little, Sophia still wasn'r too keen about people finding out that she was pregnant, even if Amelia was family, on the people closest to her and Leo knew, and that consisted of most of his family, though Sophia was aware that Leo had told his friend Artemys, but she wasn't too bothered about that. "I'm pregnant... about 2 months gone, we found out in June." she explained looking down to her hands a little, she didn't want Amie to be upset because she wasn't told, it was just the way that Sophia had wanted thing.

As Sophia explained that it was all down to stress that her emotions were all over the place, Amelia gave her a look that kind of said 'whatever', folding her arms across her chest as she did so. There was no fooling Amelia in these types of situations, and especially when it came to Sophia, sure the two didn't spend a whole lot of time together, but that didn't mean that Amie didn't know her grandmother. Then as Sophia finished off by saying that she was pregnant, Amelia let out an unexpected squeel, making both Sophia and Mojo jump a little, clapping her hands together and jumping up and down in her seat a little. "Oh my god Sophia that's brilliant news... I'm so happy for you." she said in quite a giddy manor, pulling Sophia into a tight hug.

Sophia laughed a little at seeing Amelia's reaction. At least she wasn't mad at Sophia, hugging Amie back, Sophia pulled away a little still smiling softly. She could tell that Amie had a few questions that she wanted to ask, but before she could, Sophia had something to say first. "We're not telling people just yet, so if you could not tell anyone, and I mean no one... its more me that doesn't want people knowing just yet, but you know me." she explained shrugging a little, then as Mojo placed his head in Sophia's lap, she gave him a playful scratch behind the ears. Sophia then turned her attention back to Amelia, as if she was waiting for the onslaught of questions.

Amelia wasn't going to lie, she was overly excited for Sophia. Ever since Sophia had mentioned that her and Leo were trying for a baby, Amie knew that it wasn't going to be long. In fact, Amelia could quite easily figure out that Sophia had gotten pregnant again pretty soon after what had happened with the first baby, not that Amelia was going to say anything about that, she was just so happy that everything was okay for Sophia now, well apart from the whole Arthur thing, but Amie was sure that she could deal with that. "Do you know what you're having yet?" she asked smiling widely, she personally wanted Sophia to have a little girl, one that she could dress up in cute dress and the like, though if Sophia was having a boy Amelia would still be able to dress him up. "Have you thought about any names yet?"

Scratching the back of her head a little, Sophia laughed again hearing how enthusiastic Amie was, and it made Sophia wonder why Amelia hadn't settled down yet, well she already knew the answer to that, Amelia was a workaholic she always put the hotels before her personal life, and it had been paying off so far, the hotels were doing well and hopefully now that she was staying in town, she might find a nice vampire and settle down, maybe having her own children. "Well we've chosen Linette Adelaide if its a girl and Louis Thomas if its a boy, which is what we're having." she explained smiling widely, subconsciously placing a hand on her stomach, rubbing it a little. Her and Leo had just had a scan the and everything had been fine, or rather that's what Paloma had said.

Amelia tucked her feet underneath her, and listened intently to what names Sophia and Leo had chosen for the baby, she liked both of them, and though she was ever so slightly disappointed that Sophia was having a boy, she was extremely happy for her all the same. "I'm so excited for you... we have to go baby shopping." she said clapping her hands together. Amelia knew how much Sophia loved shopping, and she was going to make sure that this baby was spoilt rotten, there was baby clothes to get, shoes, toys and bedding. "Wait that means you knew you were pregnant at the wedding." she said frowning ever so slightly. Amelia didn't mind that she hadn't been told, she just now knew why the wedding had had to be done so quickly.

Sophia looked out to the gardens when Amelia came to the conclusion that Sophia had known about the baby at the wedding, this of course was true and Sophia wasn't going to deny that she didn't know, but she knew that Amelia would get the reasoning as to why they had pushed the wedding forward, which is exactly why they weren't telling people about the baby just yet, because people would assume that her and Leo only got married because of the baby. "We pushed the wedding forward because I was pregnant if that's what you're thinking... but it wasn't just because of the baby, it was more because I didn't want to wait until I was all big and fat, as vain as it sounds... July 2nd was Leo's idea." she explained shrugging her shoulders a little, it was really no big deal, not to Sophia anyway. Looking back to Amelia, could feel another headache coming on, at least she wasn't too far from home, in fact it was a 2 minute walk, or so, from here.

Amelia really wasn't too upset that Sophia hadn't told her straight away, all things considered she was aware that Sophia would probably would have wanted to wait until they were certain what with what happened the last time Sophia was pregnant. Smiling back to Sophia, Amelia hugged her again giggling ever so slightly. "So Louis Thomas... I'm assuming that Thomas is after your father, and Louis is after Leo's father?" she asked, pulling away from Sophia so that she could look her in the face, feeling a headache coming on, Amelia rubbed her temples a little, the emotions that she was feeling off Sophia were the strongest that she had ever felt, even when she tried to distract herself.

Though Sophia was aware that Amie might be feeling a backlash from the headache that she was getting, and she was trying to keep a clear head, even if it was proving difficult. Nodding as Amie mention Thomas being her father which was true. "Yes Thomas was my father... but no Leo's father was called Laurant, but we thought that Louis was more suitable, he was Leo's uncle, and there's obviously a Louis in our family, somewhere." she explained laughing a little, Sophia knew why they hadn't used Leo's father's name, and in all honesty she was glad that Leo hadn't been stubborn about it. Sophia was happy with the names that the two of them had chosen, now she was getting a little nervous about the whole pregnancy thing, as that was already taking its toll on Sophia and she was only a couple of months in. And then there was the birth and being a mother itself, but Sophia was trying not to think too much about that; after all what with the town's pending doom just moments away, Sophia was scared that she was going to lose everything that she loved, if she lost Leo in this battle Sophia didn't know what she would do, which made her start to cry.

Amelia nodded when Sophia explained that Louis wasn't actually Leo's father, and though Amie was sure that there was some sort of explanation as to why they weren't using that particular name, Amelia knew not to push Sophia, though it was safe to say that Amelia recognised the name Laurant, she just didn't know where from. Then when Sophia started to cry unexpectedly, Amie didn't quite know what to do, she didn't think that she had said something that might make Sophia cry, but then it was a little hard to focus when she was being bombarded with Sophia's emotions. "Hey come on now, what's the matter?" she said wrapping an arm around Sophia's shoulder, frowning slightly. Wiping her thumb down Sophia's cheek, wiping away a couple of the tears, she waited for Sophia to answer, there was obviously something wrong, and Amie wanted to know what it was, surely all this stress wasn't good for the baby.

Taking a deep breath, Sophia felt comforted by Amelia though pulled away from her a little so that she could wipe away some of the tears that had collected under her eyes. Sophia didn't really know where to start, it just seemed like everything was getting on top of her at the moment, and what with Leo being busy and very susceptible to her feelings, she didn't really want to burden him with the way that she was feeling, considering he could feel it already. "Sorry... its just that everything's getting on top of me, I'm so scared that I'm going to lose Leo, and I don't think I can do the whole motherhood thing alone." she explained, looking down to her hands, trying to calm herself down. Then as Mojo placed his head in her lap, Sophia patted his head a little, remembering that some dogs were sensitive to feelings, though Sophia thought that it was just humans. "Plus what with him being an empath too, he's been feeling everything that I've been feeling but because he gets it worse, I try and stay calm when I'm around him, but sometimes its not that easy." she explained still looking down to her hands. Sophia always felt bad when Leo took on her emotions, but the more she bottled everything up, the harder it was to keep her emotions in check.

Amelia had no idea that Leo was an empath too, and she could imagine that it must be difficult for the two of them. Amie knew that Sophia could blow hot and cold at the best of times, she lived up to her redhead nature, and now that she was pregnant those tempers and emotions of her would only be stronger and more flippant. "You know that everything is going to be okay Sophia... from what you've told be about Leo he's not going to let anything happen to him, war or now war." she explained, brushing her hand through Sophia's hair trying to soothe her a little. "And there's no point in you trying to keep calm just because you don't want Leo to get hit by your emotions, you'll only make yourself ill." she added as an after thought, patting Mojo on the head too, smiling sadly to him. Amelia wanted so much to help Sophia, but she knew that there was nothing much that she could do, apart from be there for her, if ever she needed it.

Sophia smiled and sniffed loudly pulling away from Amelia a little, she knew that she was just being silly, but what with everything that was going on in town and the whole 'impending doom' situation, Sophia was bound to get a little panicked, even if she did know that Leo could handle himself. Wiping both her hands under her eyes, Sophia took in a deep breath, smiling towards Amelia. In all her years she would have never thought that her and her granddaughter would get this close, sure when Amie was first turned they had been relatively close, but that was more because it was the first time that Sophia had really spoken to someone that wasn't going to grow old and die. "Thank you." she said clearing her throat a little. Sophia then glanced down to her watch seeing that she really should be getting back to the shop, though she was wondering if Wendy would be able to stay for the rest of the day. Sophia now felt worn out, and she could do with going home and having a little rest, and maybe a sandwich or two. "Right well I should get going I might go and see if I can't take a nap or something." she explained, getting up and giving Amie a hug and a kiss on the cheek, petting Mojo on the head before saying goodbye and making her way out of the pavilion and back towards the chateau.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
