Ben had just woken up from his day of sleep. He hadn't really seen or heard from Kali since he took her to dinner and spent the night (and day) with her. After that he had been alseep, without having anything to drink before hand. Now that he was awake his mouth was dry and his throat felt like it was on fire. In a few swift movments he was out from under the covers and rumaging through his fridge till he found his favorite bottle of blood wine.
Pulling the cork out of the bottle he was hit rather strongly with the sweet scent as he put the bottle to his lips and started to chug the wine. And yet even with the sweetness of the drink, it paled in comparison to the taste of Kali's. But he was respecting her space and hadn't bitten her since she made it clear that she wouldn't bite him for fear of what happened to her husband. In just a few moments Ben had finished the wine and felt him gain some controle of his thrist. Taking a deep breaths he changed into some clean clothes and went down to the lobby with inhuman speed.
The sun had just set and the humans were starting to head to bed while the creatures of the night started stiring. Going to the bar he ordered straight blood wine which the bar tender produced without even a second glance. It was clear that he had been here a while and served humans, werewolves, and vampires. Ben was about to down his drink when he felt eyes on him and he didn't like the feeling.

When Laurant grew bored he tended to mess with people's minds, just for the fun of it so this evening wasn't any different. He sat by a table looking at some of the people who sat in the bar while he was rotating a glass of whiskey. When another vampire stepped in, his eyes fell on him. As Laurant had done with all the others had he entered their minds to see who they were and this wasn't any different. He had stumbled upon the man before, although it had only been briefly, so you couldn't really say Laurant knew the man. He raised the hand and pointed towards his glass indicating that he wanted one more, then he finished the drink as his eyes were glued to the new arrival.

The feel of eyes on him back was soon added with the sensation of someone picking at his mind. Ben hated when people did such since he wasn't strong enough to keep people out, but he was stronger willed then most. As in it took a really strong phsycic to make him do something he didn't want to. His glass was right infront of his face as he turned his head in the direction that he felt the eyes on her. He saw the white haired vampire sitting there whatching him. 'You know it's rude to read other's minds without permission'. He said to the man knowing he'd still be picking through his thoughts. Ben had only run into the man once before, if his memory served him well the man had ordered an extra bloody, bloody Mary. Looking away from the man Ben downed his wine and ordered another waiting for the man's reaction or his answer.

Laurant raised an eyebrow when the man spoke to him. "I'm a man with few pleasures, this being one of them, so I have no intentions of stopping," he said and took a hold around the glass the waiter came with, he raised his glass towards the man as if he was making a toast before he took a sip of it. "I see you know a lovely lady by the name of Kali," he said, when he stumbled upon an image and name of her in Ben's mind. "Had the pleasure of seeing her a little while back," he said and as he took another sip he looked over at Ben. Why he brought up Kali, he didn't really know, maybe because he had a thought that he could mess up with this guy's mind as he could with everyone else around this place.

Ben couldn't help but chuckle slightly at what the man said about messing with people's minds was one of his few pleasures. 'Well, apparently thats one difference we have sir.' Ben told him taking a sip of his refilled glass of wine. When the man mentioned Kali, Ben paused again and started to get defensive. Lightly setting his drink down on the bar he got up and calmly walked over to where the man sat. Sitting down infront of him Ben leaned back in his seat. "And what would you know about Kali?" Ben asked his voice very defensive when the waitress came over and asked him if was going to have anything. "No thank you." Was all that he said not taking his eye off of the vampire infront of him.

Laurant looked at the vampire sitting across from him, he shrugged his shoulders slightly. "Aww, saw her on the town square not so long ago, very close with some human and I'm not meaning feeding close, no it looked like it was more than that," he said and took a sip of his drink as he observed the vampire's reaction over his glass. Of course what the guy didn't know was that he had been manipulating with their thoughts, which caused them to do what they did. He didn't say anything but simply let the guy take in that information he had gotten.

When Ben heard that Kali had been closer to a human male, he thought about it. Kali normally flirted with those she planed to feed from and he didn't mind that, but this vampire had said that it looked to be more than feeding. He hadn't seen Kali in sometime and he did trust her. But what of this human, was he trust worthy? Shaking his head Ben looked up at the white haired vampire infront of him. Could this man be trusted by just his word. When it came to Kali, Ben got defensive. He didn't like it when people spread around false rumors about the people he cared about. "And who exactly am I speaking to about a women whom I care for?" Ben asked in a rather cold voice his eyes just as cold.

Laurant raised an eyebrow a little when he heard the tone, not to mention cold look the vampire gave him. "That depends, I go under several names. Here at the hotel I go under Laurant Masón, for those who know me, I'm Larant Bodouar," he said, he knew his name had come up in the media recently. "As for spreading false rumours that's something I've never done. People might call me a lot of things, but I've always stood behind my word," he said, although there have been some grey areas through out his eternal life where you might question that statement, but that was open for interpretation.

Ben's cold expression never left his face as the vampire spoke. He could tell that he was trouble but when the man said that he stood by his word, Ben saw that he was telling the truth. "Your clearly smarter then you seem. But... why would you be telling me this, monsieur Laurant Bodouar?" Ben asked remembering where he had heard the name from the news, when ever he did watch it. Ben wasn't much for the telivision, he prefered his books and music over it. But when he needed to know something about the day he turned it on always to the news.

Laurant took a sip of his drink before he answered the question. "I don't like to be kept in the dark if something I don't like is happening right under my nose, so I thought it would be best to make you aware of it. How you want to use the information is up to you," he said, and took another sip of his drink. "I see you've experienced heartache before, I doubt you ever want to experience that again, although this is somewhat different," Laurant said. Last time he had run into Ben, had he read Ben's thoughts about his wife as far as he could recall.

Ben's expression softened slightly as Laurant spoke. He seemed trust worthy but also he seemed like he was the type to do what was best for him, and not his friends or anyone else. "Well then, I'll be sure to check in with Kali, but, if it turns out that you've lied to me. I'll be in touch." Ben said as he slowly stood and quietly walked out of the bar and left the hotel. He first needed a good hunt before he went to see Kali and talk to her about what he just heard. 'A young burnet should calm me down long enough.' Ben thought to himself as he walked down the street to the red moon club. From there he would go to Kali's.

When you see a poll of some sort, then try and take the time to read what it's about and who's allowed to vote. This means in particularly the homecoming polls. They are ONLY for High School characters. So if your character isn't a high school student then DO NOT VOTE!!!! Thank you.
Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

If you haven't voted for the monthly polls yet then you can still do it. Remember that you can use as many of your characters you want to vote with as long you don't vote for one of your own characters. You can find them here. The polls will close June 1. Furthermore we have two homecoming polls. So let your high school characters vote for who should be homecoming king and queen. The polls closes 9 June, you can find them in the event board.
