Sitting on the balcony always got Serena into deep thinking. It was around 5 in the morning, just 5 minutes ago she woke up. She had a hard time sleeping last night and the most shut-eye she got was about an hour. Sighing, she rearranged the blanket that kept her warm in her spot. Her dual eyes stared somberly at the sun that was slowly peaking from the horizon. The waves she could hear down from the shore were a comforting sound to her small ears. Below at the boardwalk, it was evident that there were early morning people from the noisy steps and talking of the joggers and also the bells that were rung from the bicyclists. It was a morning like any other.

Right now a lot was on her mind. She was relieved that she already told Lucian about the baby but that wasn’t enough to diminish her other worries. What she was most concerned about was the well-being of the baby. β€˜What if something happens to it?’ she thought to herself. Shakily she let out a breath before hiding her face in the blanket and hugging her knees. How was she feeling? β€˜Stressed’ was probably the right word. So many β€˜what if’ scenarios were going through her thoughts even though she knew perfectly well that dwelling on the past did nothing. β€˜What if she had gone home with Piper?’ Would James have backed off on approaching her? β€˜What if she hadn’t attacked James herself back on top of the warehouse roof?’ Was there a chance that she wouldn’t have been grazed by the silver bullet? Would she have been hit anyways? Her head pounded like mad at the questions.

After a few moments of reflection she uncovered her face from the blanket and let out another sigh. "No." Serena whispered. She had to be optimistic, for herself… for Lucian… for the baby. With careful movements she unraveled her blanket to reveal her belly. She observed it for a moment. It didn’t change much from the last time she looked at it but when she touched it, there was firmness to it. A smile fell upon her face wondering what the gender of the baby (or babies) was. What she really wanted was a son for her first born child and if she were to have another one then a little girl. Being a twin (ooc- doesn’t know about Reira yet) herself, of course it would be exciting to have twins as well; preferably a boy and girl.

Serena wrapped the blanket around herself once more as she leaned back into the chair. She felt a little better than when she first came out to the balcony and she was going to keep that positive attitude. She had to. After all, she was the Alpha Female and if she wanted to get through this she had to be strong.

Rest, it was the greatest feeling in the world, to the Alpha. Besides love of course. Lucian lay curled up in a little ball on the queen sized mattress that he shared with his mate, Serena. So much room on the bed, and here Lucian lay, curled up in a ball, nearly falling off of the bed. His arms were sprawled out across the bed, which is what caused the Alpha Male to awake from his slumber. The bed was empty. It took Lucian a moment to roll out of bed and get his eye sight all together. The Alpha looked around the room for a second;
"Well, she's not in here."Lucian wrapped his hand around the door knob and gently opened the door to the hallway, which lead to the living room and kitchen. Stumbling into the living room, Lucian noticed the curtains billowing from the wind. Quirking a brow, he slowly walked over to be gifted with the sight of Serena, sitting there with her arms wrapped around her legs. " Serena? What are you doing, love?"He asked, taking a spot next to her, sitting indian style. Was something wrong? Lucian couldn't think of what could be bothering the Alpha Female, so he just sat and awaited her response.

Serena found it was getting chilly out in the balcony after the sun already came up so she decided to move inside and sit by the window. It was probably about 15 minutes later the she was startled by Lucian’s sudden presence as he sat down in front of her. "Ah… nothing really… Just barely got any sleep last so I went on the balcony around 5 and now here I am." She said with a small smile. Turning her head to look at the wall clock above the kitchen entrance, the alpha saw that it was already 7 am. "It’s already 7? Hm… time went by fast…"

Bringing her gaze back from the clock she turned to look at her mate once more. "So, do you want breakfast or coffee? Come on, I’ll go make us something." Serena suggested while standing up proceeded to grab onto his arm and drag him into the kitchen. She released her hold on him as soon they entered, and immediately went straight to brewing some coffee and then took a pan and a metal bowl out from the cabinet below the sink with the intention on making pancakes. "Oh by the way, I asked Piper to come over sometime today. Is that alright with you?" The female alpha asked as she looked over her shoulder from cracking some eggs into the bowl. "Also, you should probably go wake up Sophie in a little while. Don’t want her getting into the habit of sleeping in late." She chuckled as she mixed the dry and wet pancake ingredients together.

"I guess you answered for me. Breakfast sounds wonderful."Lucian lay on the ground while Serena dragged him to the kitchen. He chuckled a bit and remained face down as Serena wandered into the kitchen and started to prepare breakfast.. You know, I could cook if you'd like. I may burn them, but hey, I'd be trying."Lucian gave off another one of his chuckles and raised his head at the mention of Piper coming over." Yeah, sure. I don't mind if she stops over. I'm just gonna have to shower and everything. You know, make myself presentable." The Alpha Male stood up and started walking around as if he were a girl, hoping to get a chuckle out of Serena." As for Sophie, I'll wake her in a moment. I'd like a little more time with you." He said, calmly, walkiing behind Serena and placing his hands around her waist.

" Pancakes, huh. If we ever get married, are you still going to make me pancakes, or is it the law that I make something every once in a while?" Lucian kissed the top of Serena's head and slowly drifted away, making his way over to the couch and eventually plopping himself down. He stared at the TV for a moment, wondering whether he should turn it on. He decided against it, and decided to stare at the blank picture.

Serena smiled at Lucian as he β€˜offered’ to contribute to cooking something. "Hmm…. I was just gonna do it all myself but now that you mention…" She grinned playfully but laughed afterwards. "Nah, its fine. I’ll just make you cook breakfast next time." The alpha suggested as she poured a good amount of the pancake batter into the buttered pan four times just to fill the space of it. Waiting for the batter to turn brown, she saw that the other pan she was preheating was ready for cooking so she went to the fridge to grab the bacon and then proceeded to fry them in the pan while at the same time keeping an eye on the pancake.

When Lucian started walking around in a girly walk, Serena just shook her head and laughed. "Very funny…" She said with one last laugh before plating the bacon, putting it on the table and then resumed make the pancakes. A blush crept her face when the alpha male rested his hands on her waist while saying that he wanted to stay with her a little longer. She just smiled and didn’t say a word as she started flipping the pancakes on its other side. When he mentioned the word β€˜married’ it got her to think a little bit. She hoped they would someday. It seemed a possible future for them in Serena’s eyes.

"Mmmm…. Maybe… maybe not…" The mate of the alpha male smirked as she finished the last batch and then started placing them on a plate with the rest of the finished pancakes. She felt him kiss her head before hearing him move to the living room probably to watch tv although she didn’t hear the device turned on. "Breakfast is almost done." Serena said as she set the plates of food, syrup, juice, silverware and also plates and cups on the table. "Go wake Sophie already, the food will get cold. You can just shower after breakfast." She concluded as she went over to the coffee machine to prepare coffee.

"I'll get her in a moment, I just wanna lay here for a bit."He mumbled, continuing to stare at the blank TV. Sophie had been living with them for a few months now, but Lucian swore he had only seen her a few times. That was something that concerned him. Where was she going? Lucian certainly knew that his cousin wasn't sleeping the entire time. Perhaps he would enroll her in school, let her make something of herself. Heaving a sigh, Lucian continued to lay on the couch, only now he rolled over and shoved his face into the cushion; listening to the banging of the bowl and silverware that Serena was fiddling around with. "Food almost done?" He asked, though it just sound like jumbled words, rather than a question.

"Yea food’s done." Serena replied to the alpha male in the living room as she set down a couple of mugs filled with coffee on the table. Of course for herself, she made some hot chocolate and put that down at her place on the table. Yawning, she sat herself on the chair and began to put some food on her plate. Finding the place a little quiet, she got up and turned on the radio by the fridge before setting herself back on her chair. She then picked up her fork and began to slowly eat her food and softly hummed to the song β€œI Need A Doctor” as she patiently waited for Lucian and Sophie to come to the table.

He yelled, hoping that raising his voice would make the young teen awake.

Sophie had been up for quite some time now, although she heard her cousin's numerous requests to go out into the living room, the young spunky teen decided to play her cards and lay in bed for a bit longer. She smiled as her cat Willow lay at her head, curled up into a tight ball. Willow had wandered to Carpe Noctum with her a couple of months ago, which was when she was reunited with her long lost cousin who she thought to be dead. Life was getting easier for Sophie, school was still an issue, seeing how she didn't like sitting still and listening to boring lectures, but she knew the time would come that Lucian would make her go and make sure that she stayed. Just as she was about to close her eyes, she heard the aggravated yell from Lucian. " Time for us to go out there, Willow."

Serena was sipping her hot chocolate when she heard Lucian coming into the kitchen and not long after, felt kiss atop her head. As she set the mug down on the table, she gave him a small smile as she started to eat her food again. "Why you’re very welcome, honey." She chuckled lightly as she proceeded to continuing with the food on her plate. The alpha had her ears focused on the radio until she was startled by Lucian’s sudden raised tone that she accidentally dropped her fork on the floor.

"Must you be so loud?" Serena said softly as she moved back with her chair and bent down to pick up the fork and then scooted back, grabbed a napkin and proceeded to wipe the utensil. Thoughtfully, she looked in the direction of where her former guest room was and sighed. "It’s not good for her to always be locked up in that room." She didn’t like the fact that Sophie kept to herself along with her cat in the bedroom all the time ever since she came to stay with the alpha pair. The Twilight wolf wondered if it was something wrong they were doing to make her stay in there. Come to think of it, she barely even saw the young teen except a few times here and there. Perhaps she should try to take her out sometime.

Serena shook her head as she smiled at the alpha male when he talked about himself not liking school which meant that Sophie wouldn’t either. The alpha female herself didn’t like school either but she still went anyways and eventually graduated. She wasn’t so sure about her mate though. "Hmm… well maybe you should go back to school too. Just a suggestion though, love. Maybe Sophie will be at least a little more agreeing to going to school then." The Twilight wolf suggested with a shrug, finishing up her food and picking herself up from her chair to get a glass of water. Upon returning with her drink and taking a sip, she saw that Sophie had already entered the kitchen –along with her cat- and proceeded to take a seat at the table with the alphas. Serena smiled warmly at the girl. "Morning Sophie."

" Morning, Serena, Lucian. Sophie placed Willow down on the couch and made her way to the kitchen table. She yawned, reaching for her plate and a pancake, making a little ting noise as she placed the fork down on the table and reached for a glass to pour her orange juice in. " So, you two have anything planned for today? A walk? Any appointments for today, Serena?" Sophie wasn't good at making conversation, so this was probably the most she would ask, the rest would just be her answering to the responses her cousin and Serena threw at her. She looked down to see Willow rubbing against her leg. " Hungry?" She said to the black feline, pushing her seat out and making her way to the kitchen to pour the hungry cat some food.

Serena observed the girl’s movements -taking a sip of water every now and then- and then listened to her when she asked an array of questions. The alpha female chuckled. "Don’t have any plans actually although a friend of mine is stopping by in a little bit. But that’s pretty much it." She replied before standing up and taking her plate to the sink. She then proceeded over to the fridge and searched for some fruit since she was craving something sweet. The female wolf noticed Sophie looking for something and immediately assumed cat food since her cat, Willow, was following after her. "Cat food is in the bottom cabinet to the left of the sink." Serena directed the girl as she continued to look inside the fridge only to bring out a bowl of black seedless globe grapes. Closing the door of the fridge, she brought it back to the table, sat herself down and began popping a few into her mouth and chewed them thoroughly as she enjoyed their sweetness.

Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.


New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.
