Isis was in desperate need to relax. After the fight with that Daniele girl, not to mention the overloading stress from trying to get her store up and running, Isis could feel her body draining. So, she grabbed a couple of her favorite books, then began to head over to the Botanical Gardens. It used to be her hideout when she last lived here as a warrior. The best thing about this place that she loved most was that it was filled with various things that grew all over the world. In an odd way, it was like home for her. A little pocket of her past that she can enjoy.
She eventually made it to the pavilion, taking her lovely time getting there. She sat down on a bench, side ways, propping one of her legs on the bench. She then grabbed out a book from her bag and opened it to a random page. Isis sighed as she inhaled the fresh, sweet air, given by the plants and trees growing there. "Man, wouldn't it be nice if everyday could be like this?" she asked to herself. "It's a shame..."But a girl can dream, right?

Rose had a little break before she had to be back at the theatre, instead of staying back there she had headed out and crossed the street to the botanic garden that was located right across. She had never been there, her long red hair was waving a little around her pale round face. Rose Medveda was small and looked like she could break if someone bumped into her, but she was stronger than she looked, after all she was a ballet dancer. The way she walked was graceful and elegant and it almost looked like she floated when she walked. She stopped up now and again and looked at some of the plants there were until she reached a pavilion she stepped inside and looked around and noticed a woman sitting on a bench reading. "Pardon, didn't mean to disturb," she said with a slight accent. She was born and raised in Russia and she didn't leave until after the wall fell in 1989 in Berlin, where the Sovjet Union started to crumble.

Isis looked up when she heard someone walk in. Though she had to admit she barely heard the person enter. Must be someone who's light on their feet. When she pardoned herself for disturbing, Isis quickly sat up straight and said, "Oh, no no, you're fine." She stood up and walked over to the redhead and said, "I'm just here reading and enjoying the scenery. besides, this is a public place. Anyone can come in and enjoy themselves as well." Noticing her accent and recognizing where it's from, she asked "Russian?" Except when she asked, it was in the Russian language. Her ability enabled Isis to speak it fluently. Rose looked surprised when the woman started to speak Russian. "Da. You do not seem Russian to me, yet you speak the language perfectly," she said and tilted her head a little looking curiously at the woman before her. "Rose Medveda," she introduced herself and curtsied gracefully. Rose usually wasn't this talkative around other people, but when someone talked to her in Russian, then the least she could was to try and be a little friendly. Not that she normally was that, but she wasn't one who made friendships and she could be somewhat cold and distant to people she didn't know.

Isis tilted her head and waved her hand in a small gesture of a bow. "Isis Laurent," she replied. "And no, I'm not Russian. Lovely people there though. Amazing artists of all types." She smiled and said, "Languages are my forte. It's a little gift of mine. You whisper one little word, and I can give you a speech in that language." Isis laughed a bit. Omniligualism was a gift all on its own, because it allowed her to meet all sorts of people without the obstacle of communication. "So, Miss Rose, if you don't mind me asking, are you a dancer?" Isis isn't one for intruding into other people's business, but she could tell from the way the girl carried herself and walked that she had to do some dancing of sorts. It would also explain the whispered steps when the girl entered the pavilion.

Rose nodded understanding when the woman explained how she could speak Russian so well. As she was asked if she was a dancer she nodded again. "Da. I am a ballet dancer. Just on a small break from rehearsal, so I decided to look at the botanical garden. It's my first time here," she said, the more she spoke the thicker her accent became. She usually didn't leave the theatre unless she was going home, but today had been different. It had been a rather hard rehearsal so far and the air had been thick, so she needed some fresh air.

Isis nodded as she listened to the Russian dancer talk about her rehearsal and her first time being here. "Well then, Madame Rose, allow me to introduce you to the gardens." She smiled and said, "This place literally has everything from everywhere. Yet, oddly enough, they all co-mingle together quite nicely." She let out a small laugh. "Much like Carpe Noctum itself," she added, thinking of the various types of people who live here. "This is one of the best places to go to when you need a break from your job, or a rehearsal." She winked over at Rose. "I know I sure used to. Which is why I have this." Isis held up her book of Roman legends. "I am probably one of the toughest chicks you'll ever meet," she said, "but I am a sucker for a good history book."

Rose looked at her surroundings while Isis spoke and when she showed Rose the book, Rose turned her attention back to Isis. "I prefer Russian literature," she said and nodded a little. Especially Tolstoy is one of her favourite Russian authors, but she liked many others as well. Her favourite book had to be Doctor Zivago. "But it's really lovely here," she said and looked out at the garden again and moved a little closer to the doorway. A sudden idea appeared in her mind, she could actually imagine herself dancing around in the garden in the evening. Maybe Elves' Hill as a ballet.

She put her book up and looked around at the various trees. If Simetra were here, she would want to climb them. "This place sure is," she sighed, replying to Rose's comment of the garden. Rose took a seat on the nearest bench and crossed a leg over the other. "Well I've been dancing in all the major cities around the world and I wanted to try out something new, smaller," she said and folded her hands in her lap. "I left Russia in 1989 and moved to Paris, where I've live until last year where I decided to head overseas," she explained. She was a Russian with a big R, but she also liked to see the world, especially now where it was possible to travel more freely.

Isis listened as Rose talked about her travel experience. "We hold more similarities than I thought," she replied. "I was from England originally, then moved to France later on, before deciding to see the rest of the world." She smiled as she thought of her travels. Rose didn't know so much about having a broader view. "I do not know about that. I tend to keep my own business. Dancing is my life, it's what makes be get up in the morning. I do not socialize much," she said and shrugged her shoulders a little. She liked to keep her to herself, she wasn't a people's person, not to mention she tend to scare people away with her cold façade she tended to put up. Very few people had managed to crack her shell. "So when did you come to this town?" Rose asked, she could at least sound like she was a little bit interested in the other woman.

When you see a poll of some sort, then try and take the time to read what it's about and who's allowed to vote. This means in particularly the homecoming polls. They are ONLY for High School characters. So if your character isn't a high school student then DO NOT VOTE!!!! Thank you.
Splashing Colours in the Chat

It is now possible to get your name in your favourite colour, as long they don't get too close to Katie, Susie and Kat's (when she's got her colour coded). Anything in a lighter shade or in a completely different colour is possible. All you have to do is send me a PM with a colour code and I will change it asap.
New Admin

Kat has announced that she'll be moving to the Philippines to study and because of that we have announced Katie as our third admin, so I'm not completely alone and Kat can concentrate on her studies. Kat will of course try and be on as much as she can after she's moved. So if something is burning in here, then you can now ask Katie for help as well.

If you haven't voted for the monthly polls yet then you can still do it. Remember that you can use as many of your characters you want to vote with as long you don't vote for one of your own characters. You can find them here. The polls will close June 1. Furthermore we have two homecoming polls. So let your high school characters vote for who should be homecoming king and queen. The polls closes 9 June, you can find them in the event board.
